EW. Figured since there's no recent review for Primos here, I should say something. I thought they would be really good with the hoagies for the price. But when I came in, I realized 6 inch (classic) hoagies are $11.... Say what? That's an insane price for 6 freakin' inches. Plus they charge extra for provolone, sounds strange. They also charged a $1 for sampling the slice of deli meat... These extra charges were never mentioned until we pay for it. Not my kind of thing. Bread is not soft! I could probably kill a couple of pigeons with it. Also, I found pubic hair on my sandwich, not very appetizing. read more

Holy crap, I had a sucky experience at the Primos in Media, but geez oh man, is the one in Ardmore the bomb!! I decided to give Primos another try after my earlier debacle, so I suggested ordering out at work. I had the NAPOLITANO: Hot Sopressata, Prosciutto & Sharp Provolone. The Prosciutto is thinly sliced and folded in, which I enjoyed, and the hot sop is something new for me, and me likey. Make sure to get the Primo roll, which is seeded and has the right amount of crusty and chewy...it was delightful!! read more

Tucked away in Ardmore you would never know that it was there. Visited the location and ordered a turkey hoagie with the usual type of toppings and additions. Everything was done perfectly. Ingredients were fresh and the bread was perfect. Service was prompt and very fast. I would recommend this to anyone and visit again. read more

Primo hoagies is the best hoagie option in the Ardmore area. They hand slice meats into fresh rolls, which makes the hoagie taste out of this world. I would definitely call ahead, since they can get busy. The location is really bare bones, so I would recommend take out. read more

For some reason, I had been avoiding Primo Hoagies... feeling like it was a "chain" as opposed to some of the mom & pop spots in the area. But, after reading the reviews here, I checked them out and was blown away by my sub. I've been back a few times & while all the subs are good, the chicken cutlet subs are memorable - they're fried up fresh and are incredibly moist. Following others' recommendations, you have to get the long hots - they add a buck or so to the price, but they're worth every penny! read more

Primo's makes an above average hoagie consistently from location to location. I frequent this location the most. Their service is efficient, but could be a little friendlier - but don't let that stop you from going - I think they brought some of the good old south phila. attitude out to Ardmore. Their meats are on the premium side and the bread is from Liscio's and is a perfect hard crusted (but not too hard) seeded roll. read more

Highly recommend for catering services based on an order of four super duper trays for an 11:15 am delivery on a Sun. Delivery was on-time (5 minutes early in fact), driver was friendly and walked all trays all the way to cafeteria. We have been here a few times before but after our most recent experience (Thursday 11/7) we will not be going back! We ordered 2 sandwiches which we picked up on a dark rainy evening, got home, got settled in and opened our sandwiches to find that one was not made correctly. We had ordered a Veggie Diablo...4 ingredients people...eggplant, sharp provolone, broccoli rabe and long hots. Upon opening the wrapping, the sandwich was missing the sharp provolone (!!!)...forget anything...but not the CHEESE and certainly not the sharp provolone! I mean, come on, it's a "sandwich shop", it's the only thing you do, and it only has 4 ingredients!! So angry, so we called the shop and got no where with the counter person...we advised of the problem ( he didn't think it was a big deal) and requested the delivery person drop off the cheese. Only to find out that the delivery services ends at 3pm(??!). There was nothing he could do on his end except offer a free sandwich in the future (no good it was doing me now!). He took my name and number and promised the owner would call the next day...nothing! Ohh...he also said that he needed to get off the phone as the line was backing up...yeah...whatever. As others have mentioned....these sandwiches are not cheap....get it right...it's 4 ingredients! We will not be going back because of the food and lack of customer service. Normally Primo Hoagies are very tasty, however at this location I've run into a few problems. First, when I called in my order, the woman who picked up the phone was rude and talked over me the entire time - apparently she didn't like the way I placed my order. When I got to the location I asked to pay for the two hoagies separately which apparently is a big No No with this woman because she out right refused to allow me to pay separately. To top it all off, there was a small black hair in my wrap. Needless to say that will be my last trip to Primo's in Ardmore. read more

I got a Chicken Suprimo - it was delicious. Honestly it may have been the best sub/hoagie I've ever had. They have an extremely large selection too. I used to like this establishment, but not anymore. I ordered two hoagies with fresh mozzarella and brushetta (not hard to make!)--and specifically said, "No peppers." When I went to pick the hoagies up, I asked the cashier to check. She said that there were no peppers. When I got home which was 15 minutes away, I discovered that there were peppers on the sandwiches. Then, I called and complained. I said that I was coming back to get my correct order and that I was angry because I don't live close by and that I had asked for the cashier to check. When I got out there, they apologized and gave me the new hoagies, but they didn't offer to give me one for free or do anything of that sort. More troubling, when I got home, they had very little mozzarella on them. It looked as if they had cut two slices of mozzarella from a log and cut them in half to put on my sandwich. Pathetic. It wasn't as if there was meat or anything other than the bruschetta on the hoagie. They charged me $8.89 for a terrible sandwich and inconvenienced me greatly with their ineptitude.
