The cinnamon and nutmeg in the candied yams were well balanced and reminiscent of a southern Thanksgiving dinner... a little sweet, but yummy nonetheless. It's a hidden gem specializing in Southern Style soul food. It's legit! Marcus and Monica take a lot of pride in the food that they prepare. Also they are focused on the customer experience. Family friendly is the name of the game here. This is my 3rd visit and 1st review. The buffet is only on Sundays and also the restaurant is closed on Mondays I had the buffet, shrimp, salmon, mac-n-cheese, candied yams, chicken thighs which were cut into strips glazed with BBQ sauce, and seafood salad. Everything was delicious. I made 2 passes. One note, the buffet items are placed on your plate by the staff when you come to the serving line. This keeps folks with greedy eyes and small stomachs from putting more on their plates than they can actually eat. Good idea. You can call ahead to place an order for pickup, you can order on line through Door Dash as well. Reservations are suggested if you have a large group of people. Most of the patrons are walking in customers. Cash/Credit/Debit cards are the accepted forms of payment. I didn't see Apple, or Google pay options.
