Used them a few years ago. Professional, they did a good job at a reasonable price. The owner was local.

I just had my house inspected by Prime Exterminators. As I am selling my home, I wanted to pick a very reputable inspection company. I wanted the inspection to be professional and reliable. He explained every problem he saw and how to correct the problem. His fee for inspection was very fair. Patrick Smith was very complete and professional. I would highly recommend him to anyone buying or selling their home. Rod Hempt San Jose, CA read more

I contacted the company for my home based on the work needed on the Homeguard report. They came out to see my property as scheduled and gave a thorough breakdown of the costs. They were easy to contact and responded quickly. Their price for the fumigation/tenting was competitive. I would consider at least obtaining a quote from them, as this was painless to accomplish. read more

Prime Exterminators inspected and found evidence that I needed to have my house tented. After showing me the numerous areas of damage, they finished the job and at a great price. Their work was fast, and they cleaned up completely. I always felt that they cared about me and cared about doing the job right. I can't say enough good things about them. read more

Prime Exterminators - They were very careful around my plants! - Pest Control Near Me - San Jose, California

Very pleased with Prime Exterminators. I am a Superintendent for a small construction company from Orange County. I am working in Fremont on a small remodel project. During the demo, I noticed termite mud tubes inside 3 of the walls. I have seen these many times before and knew that it was s termite issue. I contacted Prime Exterminators to come out and advise me as to what I should do. A guy named Pat came out and told me that there was an active subterranean termite infestation inside of the walls and that he could take care of them, no problem. He quoted me a price, which I felt was fair and set it up to have someone come out and take care of them. All went as agreed upon, and it did not hamper my schedule. A+ service. read more

Had a great experience with Prime for a fumigation on my home. They advised that services recommended by another company was not needed, saving me money. And their pricing was very competitive. Would highly recommend them and if I need to fumigate in the future I wouldn't hesitate to use them. read more

I have never had a better experience with a home related inspection and repair effort. This firm, led by Pat Smith, are not only seasoned professionals, they are also efficient and work to take the best approach that is both comprehensive and cost effective. In fact, in my case Pat came back and reduced the quoted amount to repair wood damage in my home by approximately 40% because the work effort was less significant than first thought. Amazing. It is truly a pleasure to work with a contractor who is skilled and experienced, and at the same time lives by the highest level of integrity. read more

Pat is very knowledgeable and thorough in his inspection. He also took the time to really educate us about the problems and the solutions. Most importantly he is very honest. He suggested to us to try DIY as his solution will just be the same and it will cost us 5 times more. Thanks again Pat! You have our business in the future read more

We went to Prime Exterminators for a second opinion after the first company tried to get us to do an ineffective treatment over the span of years. Pat and Mary made the assessment and fumigation process as painless as possible. Very friendly, informative, and attentive company. We have been recommending them to my neighbors. read more

Mary and Don were great to work with. We discovered termites after they took up residence under our kitchen counter, and started pushing "dust" into the dishwasher! Don was very professional. Prime made this huge hassle clear, and as painless as possible. Thank you for giving us peace of mind that our beloved home has fended off this round of termites. read more

Prime Exterminators inspected my house and it was determined that I needed a termite fumigation. Prime Exterminators actually subcontract out their fumigation to Best Fumigation, a great company from Fremont. Best Fumigation was really OUTSTANDING, professional in every way. Although, I did have some problems with Prime Exterminators. They were responsible for repairing termite damaged wood, patching, and priming the areas. Their man did a less than satisfactory job in every way. We were not happy with his work at all. I immediately reported the problems to their office and eventually spoke with the owner who assured me that they would take care of it, and they did. They insisted that they would make it right and do whatever was needed. Most companies can have a problem now and then, but it is how they resolve those problems that separate the good from the bad. For that, I give Prime Exterminators credit for good customer service and an honest desire to do the right thing. A Company you can trust. read more

Prime Exterminators genuinely care about their customers. I was bowled over with the inspection done by Don. He was very thorough and went that extra mile to determine the cause for the wood damage. I was amazed at the extent of his knowledge and his willingness to help. Turns out that I did not have termites after all and Don was very honest about it. He not only told me that I did not have termites, but also told me what was eating the wood. He gave some very good advise on how to get the area fixed and what to watch out for. I couldn't have asked for better customer service. 5 STARS. read more

Best in the Area, Hands down Honest with their estimate. Not trying to milk you for every penny. They saved us $1500!!!!!!!!!! Here's our story: Purchased a new home. The Section one damage report said subterranean and drywood termites. 3 out of the 4 took a quick look around and said the house needs extensive extermination and quoted me for subterranean and drywood termites. Then comes Prime Exterminators, the inspector came in and looked around for almost 20 mintues even went into the crawl space underneath the house. He told us these are old dry subterranean tracks and that we only need one type of extermination. He even took us around the home to show us. Loved their service. From beginning to end they were great. Don't use anyone else. They are the best in the area. read more

Was very happy with the preliminary inspection from Don. Not only did he do a thorough inspection but also educated us on many options and how to prevent future termites like closing gaps, making sure there is no exposed wood (ie cover with paint), look for leaks under house since termites like wet dirt, not dry, etc etc etc. Very informative. And also told us what we can buy to treat areas for preventative measures. This company will not try to upsell you services that you don't need. Very honest. 5 STARS! read more

We had had several other inspectors at our property, but when Pat came thru he found issues that the other groups had overlooked. He was very honest about all the options available, and clearly explained the tradeoffs. Even though we initially didn't want to tent, he convinced us it was the right way to go. Based on all that was found during the repairs, it was definitely the correct decision. Pat was very reliable, professional and highly focused on making the customer happy. As with any situation there are always issues that come up - in all cases Pat went the extra mile and made sure that he covered those issues and that we were happy. For example, there was a cracked roof tile we noticed a couple weeks after the job was done - he had it taken care of. Pat's tenting group was also very careful about our bushes and shrubs and at our request came out before the tenting to make sure there would be no problems with how we prepared the house. Everything was in great shape after they completed the fumigation. On top of that he had the best price. I would definitely use Prime Exterminators again. Bob Miller Fremont, CA read more

Called a very pleasant and professional employee. Met with the sales rep and he was there before I arrive. The fumigation was done, and during this time the company kept in constant contact with me. Great job. read more

Recently found evidence of termites in my garage and called Prime Exterminators based on great Yelp reviews and wasn't disappointed. They were fast, efficient, and pretty much did exactly what was needed with a minimum of fuss or bother. A few emails to get the job set up, read and sign a form, schedule an appointment. Guys were scheduled to tent my garage between 8 AM and 10 AM on a Saturday, they arrived at 8:00 AM sharp and completed the whole tenting process in less than two hours and I still had my Saturday intact! I was traveling that week, they came back and took the tent down and cleaned up the following Tuesday so that when I came home later that week it was all done and everything was in good shape. Very easy, delivered what they promised when they promised it. Rare in today's world. read more

After dissatisfaction with two free termite inspections, we elected to pay for a full inspection of our property. It was money well spent. Dan, the inspector, spent nearly three hours going in, around, and under the house. He provided a wealth of information on termite infestation and discovered evidence of drywood termites in addition to the subterranean termites that had been previously discovered and dealt with. We had the house fumigated to deal with the drywood infestation and were very satisfied with the service provided by the subcontractors. I highly recommend Prime Exterminators to neighbors and friends dealing with infestation problems. read more

I had a new call from the owner, Pat, and he carefully explained to me the details and costs of tenting my house. I realize now that there had simply been a misunderstanding previously. Pat came out today and did a thorough inspection and unfortunately found that my house has multiple termite infestations including underneath part of the house. Therefore I must have the entire house tented to get rid of them. I will contract Prime to do this. read more

Don came out to inspect a spot on our house that showed evidence of termite damage. He concluded that it was damage from an old infestation, and took the time to search around and find a notice showing that it had been treated by another company before we bought the house. He concluded that no further treatment was needed, and did not charge us anything! Appreciate the honesty, and he was friendly and pleasant and showed up on time. read more

I highly recommend Pattrick, He explains stuff, and gives you suggestions on how to improve and maintain things. He is honest and quite knowledgeable. You can try it yourself as well. He didn't charge us anything since our inspection and termite treatment was done 3 years before. And he did provided us with the preliminary report free of charge of the exterior which he inspected for us. We will call him, when our next inspection is due. read more

Great professionalism! It is hard to gage how good someone really is, since these are services we don't use often. But the fact that the inspector came with shoe covers impressed me and subtly conveyed the message that they care about my house. My neighbor introduce me to Prime Exterminator last month and thank goodness I listen to her. Patrick did the house inspection for us and he was very knowledgeable and very sincerer. The fumigation was done by Mega Fume and they arrived earlier than I expect and they did excellent job during the tent set up and removal. Everything was done just the way they promise. I would recommend Prime Exterminator to my neighbors from now on. They price is very reasonable and low compare to other big franchise and their work are above my expectation. read more

I see why they have 5 out of 5 stars! I thought these guys might be faking their reviews, but I can assure you they're not. I called them out and a fellow named Don showed up, on time. He looked at my house and told me I had beetles, not termites and that the beetles wouldn't do any wood damage and would die naturally within a few days. No need to fumigate! Could have easily lied to me and I'd have believed it or he could have charged me a service fee for taking an hour of his time, but he did NOT! Totally awesome fella and took some time to educate me on termites and beetles. I have his card and I will 100% call him back if I have any wood damaging infestations! read more

Prime exterminators did a good job in Q4 2010, before we moved in. They also assured 3 years warranty. Recently as another vendor mis-lead on termite inspection. I did the termite inspection today, all in all , extremely pleasant experience. 1. Mary is very diligent on coordinating all the inspectors and agents since I need the inspection done in 2 days. 2. Don did an excellent good job on termite inspections. He did not miss any single spots. At the end, he explained to me everything he found and also educated me on some termite basics. 3. Patrick is very patient on answering my questions and concerns before the inspection. He got 25+ years experience on termite ! All in all, I think they did a very thorough job and very patient at answering questions ( I am an engineer and have lots of questions ) and educating people. I am very happy with their work. Definitely will recommend them to anybody who is buying an old house. read more

I had termite damage in the walkway to my front door, so I decided to have an inspection done. I am very happy with the results I obtained with Prime Exterminators. All contact with the office manager (Mary) was accurate, timely and courteous. The inspector (Don) came to the house exactly when stated he would, and he performed a very through inspection. Don even found a black widow nest near my front door with egg sacks that were almost ready to hatch. He would have gladly taken care of it if I had some insect spray. Since I didn't, he gave me very detailed instructions on how to deal with the nest. I repaired the walkway but the termite tracks entered a structural member that enters the house wall, so Don came back out (again exactly when scheduled) to review the evidence and decide on a course of action. Because of some other evidence, we decided on a fumigation. The instructions on how to prepare for the fumigation were very explicit and helpful. Mary answered all of my additional questions with the kindness and professionalism that I greatly appreciate. Mega Fume did the fumigation, and again everything was done exactly the way it was explained, and exactly on time. The Mega Fume workers were very courteous and they treated my home with great care. Mary kept me posted on the fumigation status so I knew when I could return to the property and I knew that everything was taken care of properly. The only blip was that I didn't know there was a credit card fee, but Mary gave me the option of paying by check instead. This is understandable. I am extremely happy with the results, and I would highly recommend Prime to anyone. read more

We have termites so called a couple of services. We stumbled on Don at Prime Exterminators. He is one of the inspectors. Prime Exterminators charges nothing to come out and inspect. All other companies had a minimum of $125.00 to come out. It didn't take Don 15 minutes to look, inspect and tell us the problem. Although he recommended tenting for a house more than ten years, which our house is, he gave us several other tips to hold off the termites until we can get it tented. I wouldn't even consider another company now, simply because Don was so knowledgeable and even more than that, just plain honest. What a great company. I would like to add, Don called us one half hour before coming, telling us he was going to be at our house. What a great service. read more

Have you noticed as you read the exterminator reviews that most of the high ratings for a otherwise poorly rated company are coming from real estate agents, and the positive reviews are usually about how fast the company responded but not really about the quality of work? I realized as I read them that I, as the home owner, has very different priority than SOME of the agents (I had a great agent). Just something to think about... I Just finished using Prime for some termite issue. The entire engagement was great. While I haven't seen anyone mention her, Mary, their office manager has been beyond great to work with. She was pretty much my point of contact throughout this process and she was patient, responsive and informative. I only wish every business I deal with had a "Mary" who can help you through the process. They are very reasonably priced and offered a lot of suggestions to help me save $$$ in the longer term. I can't speak to whether they are successful in killing the termite just yet since they just finished the work, but based on the carcasses on the ground, their warranty, and how I was treated, I would highly recommend Prime Exterminators. But don't take my word for it. Look around all the other exterminator reviews and you'll find that the ratings are generally poor. Prime has consistently high ratings and I'm glad I followed Yelps review and turned to these guys for my needs. If you got termite issues, especially if you've never had the issue before, Prime is who you should call. read more

I had 3 different termite companies to come inspect for termites so I can compare quote. The first two told me that there is evidence of termite and the infestation is likely active, then Don from Prime came. He was friendly and knowledgeable, he told us there is no active termite because he was very sure the "evidence" the other two found is old. He went on and explained that the fact there is no spider webs shows that the soil was treated by a chemical (I forgot the name) used 20 or 30 years ago, it lasts forever and it will keep most of the insects out. Don saved me a thousand dollars (since that's what the other two companies quoted me) and I would like to thank him for his honest opinion and his professionalism. Would recommend this company to anyone. read more

By far the most professional and helpful extermination company I have ever worked with. Everything was explained and all questions were answered fully before moving on. I had termite poop on my living room. I drilled their hole and put some chemical in (left over can from before) then I called Prime Exterminators. I was impressed with Don Sellers as he was honest and not trying to just sell his business. He did a limited inspection. He gave very valuable information about dry wood, subterranean, and formosan termites, what their colony cycles are, where do they live, and what types of treatment works best. This information was extremely helpful for a new home owner. It's good what to realistically expect about termites. I definitely trust their opinion on when to do something vs. not. They definitely have your best interest at heart. I will definitely be very comfortable using their service again! read more
