As any one can imagine, this is a major decision and want to make sure you get the best company hired to do the job because you want it done correctly, the first time. I reached out to about 8 different companies. Several of these were recommended to me by friends and family. I decided on three different companies. I scheduled appointments for them to come out and do a walkthrough/estimates/inspections. One never showed up (No showed TWICE). The other two companies did. From the beginning, Matt put me, and especially my mother, at ease about the process, the products they used, the other things we needed to consider in the overall plan of house repairs, improvements, etc. Customer Service is a big part of any company. Loved that I could text or call. Either method I decided to use was promptly answered. They offered a very explicit and thorough walk through of the timeline, what needed to be done, what to expect, etc. THIS was huge. I love checking off a to do list and this was super helpful to keep me and my family focused on what needed to be done. Alex (Alejandro) and team were super helpful on Friday morning when they showed up to put up the tent. Alex answered all of my questions and even relocated one of our Ring cameras so we could keep an eye on our home while we were away. THIS was special and put us at ease that we didn't need to be hanging out in our backyard for hours into the night or camped out in the back yard to feel like we were keeping our property safe. They also did what they could to keep some of our oldest rose bushes around our home alive. They moved the tent behind the bushes where they could to still keep a good seal around the property. I just want to say that they did warn us that any vegetation//bushes/plants, etc. would probably die in the process if they were under/inside the fumigation tent. We worked with Matt about two years ago when we bought our house (with the recommendation from our realtor) for termite inspection and crawl space clean out. That experience was great. We brought Matthew out to provide a second opinion on the termite report we received when we bought the house. Matthew reviewed the report, did his own inspection, and then found an affected area in the attic that was not discovered by the initial inspector. He was able to treat the affected areas that day for a very reasonable price. He and his co-worker were very careful about wearing booties in the house and put down plastice under the areas they treated so they didn't make a mess on the floor. My wife just had the kitchen completely remodeled. She opened the cupboard under the cooktop & saw rat droppings in that cupboard. After a more investigating, she found that the rats had chewed the wood around the downdraft to under the house. This became an urgent, must be fixed item. We obtained a couple of different quotes. Matt came out and looked at the job and was able to set up his crew to arrive two days later. We decided to go with ZBest to not only trap the rats, but also completely blocked off all access to the crawlspace under the house. That day they set traps and did the work to block off all of the access points. An appointment was made to come back to check the traps a week later. Four days later we started realizing they had caught a rat because it smelled terribly. Reached out to Matt and he had somebody here that afternoon to remove the dead rat. It was the only one that was trapped. They must've gotten him the first day. His people showed up right on time on the day allocated to clean all of the trash and re-check all of the access points and traps. To start off this review I would like to say that if there were more stars I would rate Matt and his team higher. We had some serious bed bug issues at our local residential non-profit. We asked our then current pest control provider for a bid and it blew us out of the water. We were distraught that it would cost us so much especially as a non-profit. We always get several quotes so we started searching for others bids. We eventually were given a referral for Matt at Z Best Pest and I called him and got an immediate response. After going through all the information to make an informed decision Matt told me the price and I almost jumped for joy. Matt came in significantly cheaper than the competition. Some may think that you get what you pay for so it would be poor service. That is the farthest from the truth in this case. There were some initial hiccups in trying to schedule the tenting, but that is normal and that was mostly the fault of our schedule. Once everything was set up and all the information was nailed down it went so smoothly and felt like a dream. I cannot say enough great things about Matt and Z Best Pest Solutions. Thank you so much! After struggling with an ant infestation inside my house for more then a year, I found Z Best Pest Solutions on Nextdoor with ratings of 5 stars. After the first treatment a year ago I haven't seen ANY ants inside my house. The one time I saw a colony of ants outside my house, I called and Matthew showed up that day and eradicated the visible colony traveling on my fence. I had a great experience with Matt. We found some termites in one of our bedrooms and were frantically looking for someone to help on a Sunday afternoon. After calling a few terminators and getting dismissed or ignored, we got in contact with Matt and he picked up the phone right away. I was concerned with getting talked into doing unnecessary procedures, but Matt was very thorough and checked the entire house, including our attic. He let us know that he only found termites in the bedroom, but also informed us that they could potentially be in the walls. He gave us the option of fumigating the entire house. We decided to do just the room for now to avoid having to move out of the house, but will definitely ask Matt to come back when we're ready. I was disappointed for a high quote Matt and his colleague provided regarding my call for carpenter ants on 07/29/2022. Instead of dealing with the problem I called about, he wanted $875 to rat proof my home, which already has a rodent service. And he said it with a wink, which was offensive. He was suggested to us by Angie's. To his credit, they did detect a gap between the eave and the roof. The original service came and fixed the problem for $175.
