This place carries a beautifully curated collection of trendy upscale brands, with an emphasis on French designers. Whether you're looking for a staple for your capsule wardrobe or a statement piece for the season, Dress has you covered with basics from A.P.C. to funky prints from Saloni. It's also one of the few places on Charles St you can just get a wearable, simple piece of high quality that's still young and fresh. It's pricey, so you likely won't be picking up a ton of casual stuff here, but you might luck out on the 50% off rack. Even if the clothes are out of todays's budget, you should still go to check out the gorgeous selection of perfumes and candles. I'm so glad I found this hidden gem!

I can't win... or I can't lose? The vibe is similar to good in that you walk in and immediately want to buy EVERYTHING (and your wallet is like hey maybe no?), but it's a very different style. Where good was minimalist and only sold the Hamptons palette of white/gray/navy, Ouimillie takes a much more bold approach. Their clothing is so unique that at first, I thought it was all vintage. But no! It's a carefully curated collection of French, German, and Danish designers. From dip dyed tshirt dresses to sleek white blazers to cool girl jeans, they've got a little bit of everything. Prices are in line with what'd you expect from a boutique in Beacon Hill selling obscure designer brands, in the neighborhood of $200/blouse. Expensive? Yes. But not out of line with comps and their stuff is all really unique. They also have a gorgeous collection of home goods (I want all the gold ceramic bowls!), the cutest tiny leather purses in all colors and finishes, and a ton of jewelry. And candles. Of course there's candles.

It's a well curated selection, and you can reallllly tell that each product is selected with care. That being said, the prices are high but I'm a quality over quantity person. Great for browsing too if you're in the area on a weekend. They don't get many pieces in the same style, so if you wait on it there's a big change you won't get your hands on it (I learned the hard way!).

The racks are filled with stand-out pieces that are beautiful quality and timeless fits. I went in wanting to buy some designer glasses and another customer was already running around the store trying to get someone to open the cases to try on some glasses. Once she found help for us, I asked if I could try a couple on too. I was told by the sales associate that only one person at a time can be helped. Fine. I waited for another 10 minutes for the other client to choose which glasses she would buy. The sales associate then told me she had to go help them at the register and needed to find the cases for the glasses too. Another 15 minutes went by. At that point I just left. They're clearly not interested in making a sale. Such a shame because before this lock up situation, I used to buy all my glasses from this location. Looks like I'll need to find another store.
