Risotto special featuring shrimp and mushrooms had a nice flavour but the risotto was undercooked and too hard. Malfadie Alla norcina was excellent and heavy. Creamy truffle taste coupled with sausage was the best dish of the day. Spicy pepperoni pizza was the best of the two pizzas. Clearly fresh and good flavour. Pizza dough was nice and thin. Pizza Bianca was a miss for us. The soft texture of the potato on top of the pizza was very strange to us and made the entire pizza feel weird. Overall, a repeatable solid Mississauga Italian place. The octopus was absolutely phenomenal: perfectly cooked, butter-tender, and honestly one of the best I've had anywhere in the city. The highlight, though, is the gluten-free pizza. We ordered the Capricciosa, and if no one told you it was gluten-free, you'd never know. The crust is crisp yet chewy, and tastes like a traditional pizza, definitely not a compromise. It's easily one of the best gluten-free pizzas in Toronto. Oretta Midtown continues to be a neighborhood gem. Highly recommend, whether you're gluten-free or not!

I like how every sign is in Italian here! Inside it's absolutely gorgeous, putting other cafes nearby lto shame. The colours, the design and some Retro furniture too. Simply magnificent! They serve up the very good Lavazza coffee, which is popular lately and seen around the west end. Friendly service here too. It's fun to sit and watch the cooks in the open kitchen behind the order counter. The other side has floor to ceiling windows looking out over a small courtyard within the condo buildings. The upstairs is an elegant restaurant + bar with serious food, nice cocktails, and excellent service. Here I review the restaurant. First of all, the ambiance is fantastic. It's open concept with big windows. It's airy, with gorgeous art deco furnitures. It's a fantastic place for a first date, or a special occasion. Second, the service is top-notch. From the welcome staff to the knowledgable, and super friendly wait staff. Third, the food is delicious. The salmon Crudo was excellent. The veggie pizza was excellent. The prime rib Sunday roast special was fantastic (especially the wonderful Yorkshire budding). The marinara sauce for the pasta was some of the best in recent memory. However, there were two glaring slip-up from the kitchen. The oyster mushrooms for the oyster mushroom salad were cooked to death in a strange batter. It was inedible, but was quickly replaced by the server. Also, one of the pastas was so al-dente, it was almost raw. These are indeed major mess-ups. Still, I will stick with my 5-star review, hoping that management will take this feedback into consideration.

Went on a weekday for a work social and people were dressed casual to smart casual. Food: The food was a little disappointing, and was more of a modern interpretation of classic Italian food. The bruschetta had a bit too much tomato, and it was diced very finely and was on the watery side rather than the sweet or acidic side. The grilled calamari was interesting with the char, but the red bell pepper on the side tasted on the acidic/sour side, and could use more sweetness. The linguini was cooked well but didn't have the al dente texture of freshly made pasta and again, the tomato sauce tasted too watery and lacked the sweetness and tartness and there was no white wine taste. Service: The server was friendly and generally out of the way, but had trouble understanding us at times. There were a couple of us who were vegetarian and he had trouble hearing, and suggested pizzas with meat on them to the vegetarians, and so we had to repeat ourselves several times for him to understand. We chose the Calamari Fritti as Appetizer, The Fun Guy pizza as main, and Tiramisu as dessert. Deep fried calamari was small size with some zucchini, and spicy mayo sauce on the side. The pizza was great taste, not too salty, and I loved it because it was creamy, however, I felt that's vegetarian pizza, and a bit overcooked. A lot of it was burnt. The Tiramisu was in the cup, my little girl has nuts allergy, so the server gave us a cup of mango ice cream on the house. They were getting busy around 1pm. And I believe it was more people than other times at night. Lunchtime was the best time for us.

The steak also came with the side of potatoes that were sautéed very well. The steak was a little bit over seasoned, but it was still juicy nonetheless. We ordered the hot rod pizza as we wanted some spice. It wasn't too spicy so most non spicy eaters can tolerate it. Instead of traditional tiramisu, we got the coconut cream cake for dessert and that one had the flavours explode in your mouth. **Other** There was actually a fight that escalated into some yelling and hostility between a party in the restaurant, and the staff handled that perfectly and professionally. They resolved it without conflict. All the patrons there gave them a round of applause after the unruly party left because of how well the staff handled the situation and de-escalate it.
