Interesting experience overall. Food: there was a hair in my food, they replaced the food pretty quickly though and were very apologetic. They did not remove the food automatically from the bill which was surprising but after I asked, they removed it from my entire bill. The food itself was AMAZING tho! Service: this was mediocre, expected more from a high scale restaurant. Especially because it was honestly pretty expensive! We were never offered parm/ pepper for our pastas but most other tables were. Ambiance: really nice overall! Nice dinnertime vibes
Went for dinner here and got grilled octopus as well as pasta (forgot the name). It was soo good! I don't really eat pasta that much but this place really made me love it. The grilled octopus too was cooked really well. Overall the vibes were good. They seat you and also hang your coat up if you'd like. I went during Valentine's Day and they had some specials going on which was cool.

I've visited a few times for brunch, lunch and dinner in the three years we've lived in the neighbourhood and overall I enjoy Capra's. Service is friendly and professional but can sometimes be a bit slow so would say visit when not in a rush. I like that brunch resos can be made online (may not matter to some but I appreciate it lol). The food I've tried has been delicious. I've enjoyed their hipster avocado toast and beef salad. Most recently I enjoyed a fish feature with a ceasar for lunch with my stepdad. Will return again someday soon!
Capra's Kitchen offers a solid, if unremarkable, Italian dining experience. It's one of those places that doesn't necessarily do anything wrong but also doesn't quite stand out in the crowded field of Italian eateries. The highlight of our meal was definitely the Beet Salad, which was nothing short of fantastic. A perfect balance of earthy sweetness from the beets, paired with the tang of cheese and fresh greens--it was recommended to us, and I'm glad we took the advice. It easily earns a 10/10. As great as it was, I was looking forward to the mains, but we weren't that impressed. We had the Calabrese Pizza and the Beef and Spinach Cannelloni. Both were fine, but neither left a lasting impression. The pizza was topped with standard ingredients--nothing too exciting--and the flavors were decent but felt a little one-note. They did make it spicy and put some spicy sauce on it for me, but it didn't really do the trick. The cannelloni was hearty but lacked any boldness; the beef filling didn't have the depth of flavor I was hoping for, and the spinach didn't add anything particularly exciting. We were fairly full but not quite impressed with the food, so we opted out of dessert. This place was recommended by a friend. The vibes were great and service was impeccable. But considering this is one of Massimo Capra's restaurants, we expected better tasting food. Overall, Capra's Kitchen is a good option if you're in the area and craving a straightforward Italian meal, but it doesn't quite deliver the wow factor that would make it a standout destination. If I'm in the mood for Italian again, I wouldn't rush back. There's definitely better Italian options out there that I'd rather try.
Came to celebrate a birthday after a day of non-stop eating, so we decided to share a bunch of items between four people. We started with the bag of bread and the buffala mozzarella, followed by the funghi pizza and gramigna & pistachio pasta. Our bag of bread came in a dish, which was unexpected as the menu specifically said bag..... did they run out of bags? Anyhow, the spicy tomato spread was good with the four types of bread in the dish. The buffala was an excellent choice to have with the bread, as it brought some fresh and creamy flavors. Funghi pizza was perfect to share between four people, a good amount of mushrooms but not as umami as I would expect. The star of the meal was the pasta, which perfectly made curly bucatini in a pistachio pesto. Absolutely delicious and worth coming back for. Expect downtown Toronto prices for the meal, but the atmosphere and service are excellent.
Capra's is our regular 'go-to' place for weekend brunch. We've been coming here since it opened (and even before it officially became Capra's Kitchen). The food has been excellent and of consistent quality. Over the years we've tried a variety of menu items. Favourites include Hipster Toast, Eggs Massimo, and Porchetta Benny. Prices are reasonable and service is usually attentive, but of course we have our favourite service staff. Due to COVID and impact on the restaurant industry some of the service staff are newer. We do miss the original 'upscale' dinner menu when Capra's first opened, as menu items have become more 'family oriented.' Tagliatelle Bolognese has been standing favourite. There have been some recent menu additions, so will have to try them soon. Oh, and did I mention that Mississauga's own celebrity chef Massimo Capra is frequently seen behind the scenes? He and his wife Rosa have always been friendly and down to earth. Not surprising, the 3 Chefs: The Kitchen Men (Massimo, Michael Bonacini, and Jason Parsons) is also one of my favourite cookbooks. Reservations are recommended.
We went to Capra's Kitchen for Mother's Day brunch - three generations of family from a 15-year old niece to an 82-year old gram. Capra's Kitchen did not disappoint. The food is delicious. The service is friendly and attentive. The ambiance is cheerful and bustling if a bit noisy. Gram had trouble hearing at the table. The bar produces some tasty cocktails. Gram and I started off the meal with mimosas. Highlights of the meal were the complimentary amuse bouche (see attached pictures); the Mother's Day special main, lobster's benny (with a generous layer of lobster); the shrimp linguine (their in-house made pasta is amazing); the ricotta pancakes (so pillowy soft); and the reason why I keep coming back, the affogato with a shot of Bailey's (such a simple dessert but so to-die-for). We all had a wonderful time and I know we will be back again to celebrate more family events.

I was very disappointed because I waited a long time to eat here. The place looks fairly nice, but the food is a miss. I like Mortadella as much as anyone, but loading it on your charcuterie?? The pizza was bland, and both the Tagliatelle and Malfalde were as well. The other odd thing is they grate cheese on it before they bring it to your table, so you have no choice. Theres way better Italian places not too far from Capras.
OVERALL: -Food was fine, but nothing special and the portions were not great for these prices. -Spacious outdoor seating -Was great for what we needed, but I wouldn't come back for the food. ARRIVAL: -We were in town on tour for a couple nights. We found this place was decently rated on yelp and on Google maps. It was one of the few places that was open and near us with outdoor seating that wasn't a chain restaurant or something like that. -Parking is behind the string of businesses that the restaurant is next to. The GPS took us to a residential street behind the parking lot at first so we got a little lost before we found it. FOOD/DRINK: -I had the tagliatelle bolognese and my colleague had the capra pizza -The tagliatelle itself was great because it was made fresh in-house and you could tell. The dish overall was bland and a little dry for my taste. -The Capra pizza also tasted like it used good quality ingredients. The toppings made for a good combination. It was still only ok. The crust was a little thick for this style of pizza. SERVICE: -Really solid service! Our server was very courteous and helpful l. He explained parts of the menu and gave useful recommendations.
Good food and nice staffs!! Very good first impression of this place, I hope to come again for dinner in the future.
Wonderful time at Capra's Kitchen! The space is beautifully maintained, bright and airy with high ceilings. There is a lot of care taken into the bar arrangement, as it is visually stunning as well as containing amazing offerings especially in the wine category. Food wise, everything was so clean tasting and with generous portions. Pasta is made in-house and you can tell. It's fresh, perfectly cooked, and looks beautiful. Staff were so welcoming and we were treated like family. Can't wait to come back! read more
Good for a Mississauga Italian restaurant. Capra's is clearly dedicated towards making Italian food the right way. In the back there is a dedicated pasta making station while the front has pizza and charcuterie stations as well. Service was nice and friendly. Exactly what it should be for a casual dining restaurant. Food was good but not spectacular. Risotto special featuring shrimp and mushrooms had a nice flavour but the risotto was undercooked and too hard. Malfadie Alla norcina was excellent and heavy. Creamy truffle taste coupled with sausage was the best dish of the day. Spicy pepperoni pizza was the best of the two pizzas. Clearly fresh and good flavour. Pizza dough was nice and thin. Pizza Bianca was a miss for us. The soft texture of the potato on top of the pizza was very strange to us and made the entire pizza feel weird. Overall, a repeatable solid Mississauga Italian place. Ambiance was lively and welcoming. Service was professional but impersonal and flat -- no personality, no real interaction other than just taking orders like a robot. Food was a bit disappointing. We shared the artichoke appetizer and I didn't expect it to be deep fried. Extremely salty. My friend had the pan seared pickerel filet and the fish was good but what it was served with was not as advertised. I had the chicken piccata and I didn't know what it was and the description on the menu only said: lemon, capers, mashed potatoes. I didn't expect it to be drowned in that thick lemony sauce. If the service had been a bit friendlier I would have asked questions. It would have made a difference. Not sure I recommend this place, unless you're really into heavy, oily, salty foods. read more

Food was delightful. Hard to not order more. Looks so appetizing too. Must go back. Service fantastic - Michael Monk was our server- very friendly, funny and attentive. Great recommendations. Very personable. Ambiance is a great energy of a local non franchisee business - casual or formal to have a nice meal and sit back and relax or a date spot also read more

Loved this place! We came as a group of 9 for work and it was beautifully decorated. There's an industrial meets modern meets rustic vibe inside, nothing like I've ever seen! I did park illegally (as the other reviews advised not to do) and didn't even realize until I left as the plaza next to it is not for the restaurant. Parking is behind the place itself, not facing Lakeshore Rd W. We ordered burrata and panzanella for the table to start, and everyone either ordered pasta or pizza. As a lactose intolerant person () it's pretty hard for me at Italian restaurants but the waitress was so accommodating and let me know I could choose anything and they could adjust it. I opted for a vegan mushroom risotto which was delicious. My coworkers got pizzas and tagliatelle, some of the dishes had more meat than others but it wasn't a huge issue! Prices were pretty moderate for the portion sizes but it was definitely genuine Italian cuisine. read more

Went with a group of 10! I had the Ricotta and Fichi with added flat bread for a dollar as an appetizer. I ordered the tagliatelle al ragu pasta. I found the ricotta and fichi was really good but the addition of the flat bread made it better to have! The ragu pasta was not as saucy as I hoped for and the portion was small. I would not recommend or I would order more apps to be filled. The atmosphere was really nice and got really packed inside. Our server was kind and attentive. read more

5 stars across the board for Capra's kitchen. When you walk in you are greeted by a lovely waiter/waitress who takes you to your seat. The waiter/waitresses don't rush you and always have a smile. There are a range of drink options from Alcoholic to non- Alcoholic. As well as many different appetizers and entrees. My personal favourite is the tagliatelle bolognese. I get it almost every single time me and my family go and it is always super delicious and very flavoursome. I have also tried many other dishes and they are also a ten out of ten. The lighting inside is very nice not too bright but not too dark. There is also outdoor seating in the summertime. All in all Capra's kitchen is certainly a very nice, clean, and elegant restaurant. read more
This place was wonderful. Service was quick, the patio was well laid out and spacious. The inside was really neatly decorated. The menu made it hard to pick. So many delicious Italian dishes. We decided on the chicken with creamy polenta and caper (wonderful! The skin was so perfect), the branzino which was cooked perfectly and the tagliatelle with bolognese (pasta was homemade and perfect too) I can't wait to go back and try more of the menu. Best brunch in Mississauga? Possibly! Their porchetta eggs benny is something special I tell ya--skip the hipster toast, the fried chicken, the pancakes, AND GET THE EGGS BENNY. The hollaindaise sauce is monneeeeyyyy and that shaved porchetta?? I can't even. If you want to experience the magic for yourself, make a reservation It was packed!! The service was okay at best... but are people here for the guy pouring the water or for ~ p e r f e c t I y ~ poached eggs? I'll let you decide. read more

I love everything about Capra's. Recently I hosted a private event for 40 guests in their party room, which is gorgeous. The food was OMG: DELICIOUS! And I can't say enough about the service. My guests had an incredible time. I highly recommend Capra's for lunch, dinner, or a private event. read more

Much better than most of the restaurants in the trendier Port Credit! Atmosphere is really nice, includes a nice patio, but based on the servers/patrons, it's more casual dining. For lunch, dishes were ~$20, but fair portions. They also have a brunch menu which looked good! Waiter was enthusiastic when I inquired about their Lambrusco. I also overheard him making personal recommendations to other diners and I love this. Solid option for a nicer Italian meal! read more
Came here for brunch with 5 friends Food (4/5): amazing gnocchi, super pillowly and tender, went amazing with the sauce. I also had the French toast, which was delicious. Quite sweet but the toast is very light so it's not too heavy. A shame the bread isn't complimentary here, but definitely worth buying a basket as it's delicious and is brought out warm. The bread basket also included these delicious parmesan crisps. I tried the eggs Benedict, shashuska and risotto my friends ordered, they were okay but nothing special (I'd say 3/5 for these). Price (3.5/5): a little pricey for what it is but reasonable for a nice brunch Service (4/5): amazing service , super friendly and attentive staff. Ambiance (4/5): the interior was very nice without being stifling. The plate decor on one of the walls was a really nice touch and the bright lighting was perfect for brunch read more

Service and ambiance were great! Good spot for weekend brunch! The fried chicken was amazing, it was so juicy and the seasoning on the breading was SO on point! The potatoes that came with the Eggs Massimo were very delicious and my friend ate up his Hipster Toast so fast because it was so good! read more
This was my third visit. We arrived with no reservation so we were sat on the patio which was good until it cooled off. Luckily this coincided with us finishing our starters and a table coming up inside. Our waiter, Jason was attentive and knowledgeable. He was friendly and recognized that we enjoyed an informal style of dining. We shared some great starters, octopus carpaccio and prosciutto cotton were superb. The labneh was divine as was the grilled calamari. Our mains included lamb loin, chicken supreme and a beautiful roasted whole fish, followed by semifreddo and a chocolate charcuterie board. Wine, beer and water were all served. Massimo was in the kitchen and all was perfect. read more
