Papa John's has always been a great name since i was young, however the pizza isn't what it once used to be. The service and people working there were really fun to talk to, very nice, and made it worth 3 stars, but the FOOD.. it wasn't really that good. The sauce was bland. The toppings were ok. The pizza is good, not spectacular, but better than average. What makes it a four is that they put a lot of toppings on the walk in pizza deal and the pizza comes with free garlic sauce which is definitely a plus! The garlic sauce is really garlicky, more watery than creamy, yet the garlic taste was quite concentrated, it was great! The customer service is also nice, friendly and speedy. The crust is all right, but I prefer pizza hut's crust. I didn't see any free toppings such as garlic, which is a con. To add spices such as crushed peppers or Italian seasoning costs extra, unlike other pizza places. They also don't have quick pizza slices to take on the go. Been coming here as a regular since they opened. I never really tried Papa John's before but this location is so good. Usually when we want to have pizza now we will always order from this place. I didn't realize they were open so late on Saturdays. Yesterday we ended up getting a pizza before they closed (10 mins before) which I really appreciate as other pizza places won't allow you to order so close to closing. This is a long overdue review but I promised the franchisee I would give him a review if I liked the pizza...and I did! I ordered two pizzas, cheesy garlic bread/pizza, wings and the pull apart cinnamon desert. The dough/crust was really tasty. Pies were well garnished and cooked well. Same for the cheesy garlic pizza. Wings weren't really the way I like them. They were still a little flabby but well sauced and my family liked them anyway. The cinnamon desert was delicious! We're a family of 5 and there was plenty to go around. For someone who has always wanted to try this pizza chain, I was quite happy :) It was a bit pricey but still reasonable! read more

The pizza really gives Pizza Nova a run for its money. The sauce is not too salty and they load the pie up with pepperoni. The dough is chewy and although the texture isn't entirely of my liking, I did enjoy the taste; especially when using the special garlic dipping sauce. There is a hint of garlic flavour, slightly watered down but leaves a creamy/buttery aftertaste which I thought was excellent. The only con is pizza overall is quite greasy; comparable to Pizza Hut. You might want a thick napkin handy. I highly recommend this place for people who are bored with Canadian pizza chains and just want to try something new. UPDATE: I still come here regularly but the Customer Service has sharply gone down since my first visit. Staff have a lot of problems multitasking and keeping track of customers. A real hit and miss. Most recently one staff member served someone who ordered before me when I was sat down and patiently waiting in clear sight. Very embarassing and I hope they straighten up their staff. I'm sorry Pizza Hut but Papa John's is definitely without a doubt my favourite pizza now! The fact that this is close to my house is very dangerous, but I'm so happy it's super convenient! My usual orders and you gotta try: John's favourite thin crust well done and pepperoni pizza regular doneness and regular crust. Omg! Heaven! The pepperoni pizza is one of the most satisfying pepperoni Za's ever! The cheese is hot and stringy, the pepperoni are crunchy around the edges, the crust is soft, chewy and pillowy. Not oily like some other pizza joints. The John's favourite, is one of my all time favourite pizza topping! You really can't go wrong with pepperoni, sausage and a 6 cheese blend! I've tried it on regular crust and it's great but thin crust- well done is a new discovery that I just can't get enough of! It's like a flaky tasty biscuity crust without falling apart. I want to start off by saying this was one of my top two pizza places, it's close to my house and great food. The only problem is if the open sign is on and it is before the time that your supposed to close you should serve customers. Unfortunately that is not the case with this location. If you come 10 minutes before they are supposed to close you are out of luck. I also work at a fast food place and if I were to close the store early I would be in trouble for turning away business. I just hope the owner knows he is loosing business (not only this time but a regular customer who spends a decent amount of money there who will not be returning any longer) because their employees are lazy. This is unacceptable from a customer point of view. I would suggest the owner change the hours of operation because they are incorrect! read more

Have tried 2,3 times this year with the baseball deals. Good value for those deals and I think they also have special promos every so often. I like the pizza, and I like there is another option in the area. Will definitely return, and maybe try some other items in the future. read more

If this is the best from a US chain then Pizza Nova have nothing to fear. We took a chance and strayed from our usual PN to try the new PJ in our neighbourhood. Bad choice! Look I know we all have different tastes but I don't know how anyone can compare this pizza to Pizza Nova. We ordered thin crust well done like we always do but this one was comparable to a store bought frozen Dr. Oetker pizza. Nothing against those who like this pizza but it isn't for me. read more

I went with my son to eglinton ave. mississauga loc., I have had pizza from there five times and really liked the product. This time my son paid for an extra large with his debit card, they said 15 to 20 minutes I returned in 22 minutes and they had no record of the order, when I said it was paid for by debit again they said they had no record of it so I went out to my car and my son gave me the debit receipt, I returned to the store and they stared at the receipt for a bit the said they would have one ready in 10 minutes, I was upset because no one offered an apology, when they handed me the pizza I said any discount for the inconvenience and he said oh and wrote on a card 10% off next purchase- still no apology. good pizza but terrible service This was at 5:49 on monday august 20th read more

First time I saw a Papa John's in Canada. Was excited. Ordered takeout of a large pizza. Was told it would be ready in 15 minutes. Went 100 meters away to fuel up at Husky. Came back. They tried to give me a medium pizza. I said I ordered a large. They said that the previous customer must have taken my large. Was told to wait another 10 minutes for them to make another pizza. Waited. Pizza was mediocre. I guess I will have to stick to Papa John's in the States only. read more

This pizza place is near my place, good for late night bites. The crust is genuinely tasty and comes with a free dip that comes in handy. I got 'The Works' with sausage, bacon, green peppers, onions, pepperoni and cheese which was overall pretty good, they could have added more cheese though. The wings were tasty but absolutely drenched in BBQ sauce. Overall would recommend checking it out if you live nearby. read more

This place does not live up to the name of Papa John's pizza. We have ordered 3 times from them sets of 3 pizzas for pickup. Every time, the pizzas were overcooked even though we have asked for them to be lightly cooked. The sauce was salty and extra cheese was lacking.( even though we have paid for it) We have sent the complaint to Papa John's Canada and The Lady manager called us to apologize for the two incidents and offer another set of 3 pizzas for free. Well, when we ordered again the 3 free pizzas, what do you think it happen? Exactly the same thing. All 3 pizzas were burned, no extra cheese and same attitude problems from the employees. Ordered a bbq pizza online. Arrived at the store to pick it up. Some guy not sure if he was the owner or manager asks the cashier if the pizza was made with bbq sauce or marinara. Cashier repsonds marinara. This owner/manager proceeds to tell me it was my mistake as I hadn't chose bbq sauce when ordering online. I explained that it didn't give me the option and if not bbq sauce what would make this a bbq chicken pizza. He says that can put bbq sauce on top of the pizza if I want. Again he blames me and says I didn't chose bbq sauce and asks me to look at his screen. I'm annoyed and he sees that and offers to make me a new pizza, I'm hungry and don't feel like waiting another 15 mins or more and just take the pizza and leave. I get home and go back to the online ordering options and when I chose bbq chicken I'm not given the option to chose marinara. I call him back and explain this and suddenly he admits it's some issue with ordering online. Clearly they'd made a mistake and instead of simply attempting to correct it by making a new pizza he proceeds to blame me. He offers to make it right and I ask what are you offering and he says 20% off next order. Are you kidding me, lol. I turn down his offer and he sheepishly offers a free pizza.
