Most of the other reviews I've read criticize the pricing and reluctantly I would have to agree. Good pizza, expensive prices. I was very surprised when I picked up this pizza with bread sticks. Having been to this location when it first started, it has now reduced its size and only has a take out window. There is literally a window that opens up big enough to a cashier. It serves as an area to pay for the food and to take the pizza. We ordered the pesto chicken pizza and cheesy garlic bread. The pesto chicken was very much filled with toppings and tasted delicious. The pizza dough was cooked to perfection. It was crispy and light. The cheesy bread sticks were phenomenal. I really enjoyed the bread sticks. In fact, I liked it more than the pizza. The bread sticks paired with the garlic sauce were magical. You are truly missing out if you don't try this combination. Overall, this place is somewhere I'd visit once every long while. The food is excellent but rather on the pricy side. If I wasn't on the east side and anywhere closer to Yonge, I'd easily go to the famous pizzerias near the west like makers or north of Brooklyn. slice of fire is great and definitely a must try in Markham- however, the pricing is extremely high compared to other pizza restaurants, as they range from $30-$50. This is a family run restaurant though, and the staff are all very kind and deliver quick service. The restaurant itself is located on Main St Markham, and it doesn't offer any seating inside, you order at the door and they give it to you. I ordered Peppe on Fire pizza and it was a decent pizza but I don't think it was worth $38. The medium size came with 6 slices. It was nice that it came with a small ranch dip, hot sauce, and Italian seasoning packet. It took less than 20mins for the pizza to be made. I don't think I'll return. read more

Most of my favourite pizza spots are downtown but this is absolutely the best pizza you can get in the GTA... at least that I've tried. Yes I said it, you can get good pizza in the 'burbs!! The owners are sweethearts and their pizzas are incredible. They are pricy but there is a reason for it - they are giant and they are topped VERY generously. Every bite will have a piece of each of the toppings and they are extremely high quality. The meats are top tier - no cheap fake bacon crumbles or mystery meat pepperoni here. Only the fancy toppings, and tons of them! The pesto margherita is my go to for a vegetarian option and it is light yet soooo flavourful. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone and it's worth the trip to Markham if you're not nearby. I've been probably 5 times or so and I'll definitely be returning. read more

I think I just found my new favourite pizza spot in Markham I took a scroll down to Main Street Markham only to find the best pizza in town. (This place is way to under hyped) A few items I got were... * The Honey Pork (The most popular one) * Philly Cheese Steak * Apple turnover * Maple pecan My personal favourite was the Honey Pork! Meat lover is similar in taste to the Pizzanova, though the toppings seem to be a bit more. The pesto one tasted good though if you preferred meaty toppings, you should go for meat lovers. I especially liked the peppe on fire pizza; the pepperoni was super crispy and cupped up perfectly which reminded me of a NY pepperoni slice. I don't usually get vegetarian pizzas but the emerald was surprisingly good too! Flavorful and fresh and was a good contrast to the heaviness of the other pizzas. Probably grew up on Pizza Pizza and think the stuffed crust from Pizza Hut is "fun". And you know that's totally cool because those places aren't charging $18 for a medium cheese pizza. Slice of Fire is and I don't know where they get the balls. The pizza actually looks great when you open the box. A little greasy but I have to admit it tricked me pretty good. I knew from the first grab of the crust to take a slice that the pizza would be terrible. It was like pinching a foam pillow. No resistance whatsoever. It only got worse from there when I picked it up and saw just how ridiculously thick the crust was. The crust is so thick that even with a very good bake on the underside it didn't cook all the way through. Someone should drive by on garbage day and tell me if there are a bunch of empty Costco frozen pizza boxes. It wouldn't surprise me at all.
