A standalone, non-franchised pizza shop. The pizzas are quite unique. You won't see combination toppings like these at other places. Most of the other reviews I've read criticize the pricing and reluctantly I would have to agree. Great quality pies with lots of toppings but no other pizza place out there is charging almost $50 for one XL pie. 5 star pizza but 2 star pricing which brings my overall rating down to 4 stars. So far I've tried: Sweet italian Honey pork Gordon's favorite Will obviously return but this place is more for special occasions or potlucks imo. read more

LAZY stand out in the cold to order a simple pep and cheese large but actually pretty small pizza is 40 dollars lol Costco down the road sells the same pizza and bigger for 24 bucks. I know its a small place but you don't even have an entry point. I feel like a panhandler begging for food. Not even that its also not safe to be handling money through a window out in the open. 30 may have been reasonable but I wont be coming back. And nothing special either. The Costco one actually tastes a tad better. Whats the point. read more

Slice of Fire Pizza never disappoints! We've been here twice now, and both times the pizza was incredible. The Meat Lovers pizza was packed with flavor, and the second time we tried the Bacon and Mushroom -- absolutely delicious! The crust is perfect, and the toppings are always fresh. Great atmosphere, friendly service, and quick turnaround. Highly recommend if you're in the area! read more

Good pizza, expensive prices. I was very surprised when I picked up this pizza with bread sticks. Having been to this location when it first started, it has now reduced its size and only has a take out window. There is literally a window that opens up big enough to a cashier. It serves as an area to pay for the food and to take the pizza. We ordered the pesto chicken pizza and cheesy garlic bread. The pesto chicken was very much filled with toppings and tasted delicious. The pizza dough was cooked to perfection. It was crispy and light. The cheesy bread sticks were phenomenal. I really enjoyed the bread sticks. In fact, I liked it more than the pizza. The bread sticks paired with the garlic sauce were magical. You are truly missing out if you don't try this combination. Overall, this place is somewhere I'd visit once every long while. The food is excellent but rather on the pricy side. If I wasn't on the east side and anywhere closer to Yonge, I'd easily go to the famous pizzerias near the west like makers or north of Brooklyn. I believe this business would attract more customers if it wasn't so pricy! read more

Good pizzas here but on a higher price point. Fresh ingredients are used. A distinctly delicious pizza when compared to the chain pizza companies. Update: Ordered a medium Hawaiian yesterday, $38! So be prepared for the higher price point. read more

Dear Slice of Fire, I am writing to express my sincere appreciation for your exceptional service during my recent order for a client event. I was so grateful that you and your staff helped me bring the order to my car. The food was delicious, and the presentation was also on par. My clients enjoyed it. Thank you again for your kindness and for providing such high-quality food and service. PS. You also saved me from getting a parking ticket by helping me bring my order to my car. Sincerely, Donna :) read more

Saw this place popping up on IG frequently and decided to check it out when I was hungry during lunch! I called to order ahead n received great service! I was given a complimentary drink with the order too!! The meat lover pizza we ordered was fully loaded! Every bite was full of meat and tasty! Would love to check out other pizza in the future from there!! read more

I ordered Peppe on Fire pizza and it was a decent pizza but I don't think it was worth $38. The medium size came with 6 slices. It was nice that it came with a small ranch dip, hot sauce, and Italian seasoning packet. It took less than 20mins for the pizza to be made. I don't think I'll return. read more

slice of fire is great and definitely a must try in Markham- however, the pricing is extremely high compared to other pizza restaurants, as they range from $30-$50. This is a family run restaurant though, and the staff are all very kind and deliver quick service. The restaurant itself is located on Main St Markham, and it doesn't offer any seating inside, you order at the door and they give it to you. It's a very cute and chic restaurant and the food is 10/10! read more

I live so close to this place and never tried I'm not sure why I never tried this place the only negative I would say about this place, is it is not worth it, the reason I'm giving four stars is for the taste 8 slices for almost 40 dollars is a gigantic rip off, I just called them and my order is set, 72 hour fermented dough, the service was quick I just called and when I came my order was ready, it's not a sit down restaurant so in terms of ambiance it's a small take out place, the cheddar sauce is quite good and the brisket melts in your mouth and complements the pizza well, the ambiance it's a small place more like you order and pick up your pizza, the dough melts in your mouth and the brisket so tender and the cheddar sauce is creamy and so good, read more

We use to really love slice, especially their pepperoni pizza!! But since they made the change on the pepperoni, it does not taste the same anymore. Quite disappointing and sad that their quality has since gone down from when we went 3 years ago. read more

Love this pizza joint. They really make a good pizza! Toppings are interesting, elevated from the norm. Love the pepperoni they use too. You know when the pep makes the cup shape it's going to be a good slice. I don't even like olives but on their pizza I feel like it's goes so well. Anyways would love to grab more pizza here but I'd be broke if I went all the time. So it has a special place in my heart but definitely a treat pizza. It's a cute little joint, so if you're in the area try it out! read more

Finally tried out this spot on National Take Out day and ordered a medium Honey Pork Belly pizza and added some creamy garlic dip ($30 total). Staff were nice enough to give me extra garlic dip sauce. My pizza was ready in 20 minutes and it was on time too. The pizza was loaded with ingredients which was great, but it was super hard to keep the pizza upright especially when the dough/crust wasn't thick enough to hold everything. Flavours were OK, wasn't the biggest fan of it. I was hoping it would have tasted better especially for the price point of this pizza. They do have some unique pizzas that you can't find anywhere else, so that's a plus. Overall, staff and efficiency/time were great, but flavours and taste were OK for me. read more

If I lived closer, I'd probably be a regular! So definitely worth considering if you like pizza and are in the area. Although pricier than other places, they are generous with the amount of toppings and not as greasy. Gordon's Favourite is for bacon lovers (also my favourite of the two we ordered), and Sweet Italian is for those that prefer beef sausage and/or olives. Unfortunately, Mozzasticks are not the best choice unless you live a minute away from Main Street. Protip, call to order. Online order takes you through Ubereats which has higher prices. Also it's a little door/counter that they serve you through, so expect to wait outside, on the sidewalk. read more

This is one of the more specialty places to have pizza in Markham. It's located on Main St. Markham, and mainly a pick up spot. I recommend ordering the Hawaiian, as it's loaded with pineapple for those who love pineapple on pizza! Other than the large portion of toppings, I didn't find the pizza quality to be that much better for the price. They also offer different flavours such as Nutella, which would be nice to try out! read more

Slice of Fire is an amazing takeout pizza joint serving innovative and bold flavours of pies. These guys make premium pizza pies at a premium price. Nutella on pizza? They make several varieties of it, including a bomb coffee Nutella pizza. They also sell incredible croissants, pastries , twists, and cheesy bread. We tried the Barbecue chicken pizza which had grilled chicken, sliced red onions, sweet peppers, fresh mushrooms, tomato sauce, mozzarella cheese, & a generous drizzle of Kansas-style smoked barbecue sauce. The crust was thinner and crispy with enough depth to the crust to have a pleasing chew with each bite. Prices start at ~$18 for a medium cheese pizza and up to $37+ for their XL premium pulled pork pizza. Worth every penny! read more

Delicious. Fresh. Generous. Can't believe it's our first time trying their pizza, given how close we live. We ordered a medium Honey Pork pizza and a medium cheesy garlic bread. Very generous portions. Also appreciate their complimentary creamy garlic dip on the side. If only they offer small size pizzas as well, that would be even better. Most of my favourite pizza spots are downtown but this is absolutely the best pizza you can get in the GTA... at least that I've tried. Yes I said it, you can get good pizza in the 'burbs!! The owners are sweethearts and their pizzas are incredible. They are pricy but there is a reason for it - they are giant and they are topped VERY generously. Every bite will have a piece of each of the toppings and they are extremely high quality. The meats are top tier - no cheap fake bacon crumbles or mystery meat pepperoni here. Only the fancy toppings, and tons of them! The pesto margherita is my go to for a vegetarian option and it is light yet soooo flavourful. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone and it's worth the trip to Markham if you're not nearby. I've been probably 5 times or so and I'll definitely be returning. read more

I think I just found my new favourite pizza spot in Markham I took a scroll down to Main Street Markham only to find the best pizza in town. (This place is way to under hyped) A few items I got were... * The Honey Pork (The most popular one) * Philly Cheese Steak * Apple turnover * Maple pecan My personal favourite was the Honey Pork! Don't at me but I love pineapples on my pizza ! I got extra pineapples and they were extremely generous with the amount they put - they even stuffed it in the dough The Philly cheesesteak pizza had the perfect amount of flavour on it and the desserts were baked perfectly as well! Also thank you Pinar for your hospitality! Looking forward to eating more of your pizzas read more

We got meat lovers and the pesto margarita After heating it up at home as it went cold in the car, the verdict is in. Meat lover is similar in taste to the Pizzanova, though the toppings seem to be a bit more. The pesto one tasted good though if you preferred meaty toppings, you should go for meat lovers. It tasted definitely less salty due to absence of pepperoni nor any ground beef. Nothing special. All in all, it was an "ok" choice. Would it make it our go-to place? Perhaps not. As we are not regular pizza eaters. We would go for more of the rice meal options like Papa Chang's (16th Ave and Markham road in Markham or any Jimmy The Greek fast foods. As for Pizza, I'd prefer the Score Pizza in Newmarket or the La Fontana in Kitchener (made from scratch dough etc) Lastly, do check the price as it may be a bit over your expectations compared to the competition. . Medium pizza, good for 2-3 people or 1-2 for hungry Jacks at around $30 Apple Turnover pie - not sweet so that's what we prefer though the bottom was burned. Scraped them off. Not sure if this was intended or not. read more

NOT YOUR AVERAGE PIZZA PLACE Absolutely love this place. I get pizza from here at least once a week. It's a little on the pricey side but I believe it's totally worth the extra $$ especially since it's to topping heavy. They also give free sauce with their pizzas. The owners are really nice as well. Pick up time is as stated, rarely ever delayed and if you order earlier in the day, they can get the pizza done in 10-20 minutes. Came here for dinner tonight. Was pleasantly surprised how good it is. It eats really heavy too, was full really quick. We wanted left overs (2 adults one 3 yr old) so ordered 2 mediums. $40. One margarita with pesto and one beef and mushroom. The beef and mushroom was pretty good. It is loaded with toppings. Crust is done really well. Flavour is good , a little to many onions for my liking but overall a good pizza. The margarita pesto is really good. Something I would go back for again. Price was very fair but taste was amazing. The staff is really friendly and helpful with picking pizzas and even gave a complimentary cinnamon bun type dessert . Will definitely be going back read more

This pizza was definitely different then ones I have tried before but it was pretty good. The crust/ bread was like a very crispy and chewy thick crust pizza. Personally I felt that it was a bit expensive but other then that the flavors were pretty good. We got 3 medium pizzas and they were fairly small like just a little bit bigger then a personal pizza. However they are a bit dense so it was pretty filling. read more

Got the peppe on fire, bacon mushroom, and emerald pizzas to go and they were so good! I especially liked the peppe on fire pizza; the pepperoni was super crispy and cupped up perfectly which reminded me of a NY pepperoni slice. I don't usually get vegetarian pizzas but the emerald was surprisingly good too! Flavorful and fresh and was a good contrast to the heaviness of the other pizzas. I loved the crust for all the pizzas as well, they were crispy but not too burnt or hard. read more

LOVE this place! My friend recommended this place and she was not wrong. Fresh large pizzas with tons of quality ingredients. Hands down way better than Pizza Hut. Our go to pizzas are Honey Pork Belly and Meat Lovers. Honey Pork Belly has pull pork, onions, peppers and pineapple, topped with honey garlic sauce. Okay don't come at me for the pineapple. I like pineapple on pizza. The honey garlic sauce is perfect. There is also the garlic dip that they include with each pizza. Parking may be tough on some days but they do have a parking lot underground. I've never parked in it though. read more

Ok, so I normally HATE pineapple on my pizza, like, with a passion. But I have to say, their Honey Pork Belly Pizza was so so good! The sweetness of the pineapple chunks paired extremely well with the honey garlic sauce and the marinated pulled pork. Those little sweet Peruvian peppers were delightful as well! (Did I mention that I hate peppers too? ) This pizza changed my life, lol. Highly recommend giving this a try! Note: I ordered an XL. Don't ask me why. It was ginormous. I had it for lunch and then I had it again for dinner. I almost had to eat it for breakfast the next day too, but good thing we persevered and finished it! This place is sizzlin'! I'd heard rave reviews about this place and decided to forgo my usual pizza place to try this rather new spot. We got the medium Margherita pizza and I will admit that at first, I thought this pizza was going to leave me hungry. Happy to report that I was more than satisfied after splitting it with one person. Any more people though, and I'd definitely go for the XL. This place is a little on the fancy-pants side, so you should expect to pay a bit more ($15 tx incl. for the medium, $5 per slice). The quality is very good, the pizza was delicious and fresh, so I think the price is justified. You also get 1 x ranch dip and hot sauce, so there's a bit of added value right there! It's in a really nice, easily accessible spot right on Main St. in Markham, there's space inside to eat in if you choose. I'm definitely going to be coming back to try their more exciting pies...I can't wait! read more

Hot, fresh, delicious. Got the medium peppe on fire. Added jalapenos to make it spicy. Very nice! Added two cans of pop and you're looking at $29. The pizza was perfectly cooked. I appreciate the wonderful soft / slightly crispy crust. They put a lot of pepperoni's so you will have one for every bite! There is no dining, just a pick up window. You can call ahead to take out. Usually takes 20-30min. Quick, easy. They also deliver on Uber. read more

I really wanted to love this place because I've heard great things about it so I guess I went in with high expectations. I ordered the medium honey pork belly pizza and the total after tax was $28. For that price, the pizza was not worth the price tag. The dough was good, but I felt that the toppings and flavour was lacking. My husband and friend were also not impressed with the pizza. Things I loved: easy pay/pickup at the window. The lady was nice and even offered another extra sauce on the side. The sauce was great! read more

A tasty slice of pizza for sure. The owners are really nice. I would definitely come back here for my slice of pizza. It's a small place, but a cute place to stay and eat. Although the pizza is a bit on the greasy side, but who's counting calories when you want a good slice of pizza right? Most people seem to get take out here or grab a slice after gym. read more

This was our first time trying this pizzeria, and the dough, crust and sauce was perfect. The crust was light, airy and crunchy, the sauce had a bold tomato flavour, and the dough at the base of the pizza was just right without modifications! We saw online that they did half pizzas one flavour and the other with another flavour. Unfortunately they don't do that anymore unless you want half of what ever pizza you order and the other to be cheese pizza. This was very disappointing, being vegetarian, and having the half pizza option would be great for dinning with my non vegetarian friends. I really hope this changes and they do the half pizzas again. The pizza was loaded with toppings, I was very impressed that they didn't skimp out on ingredients and the top was over loaded, just the way I like it. This pizza that we ordered the Ephesus pizza was a little bland for me, I think more sun dried tomato's on the pizza might have helped Boost the flavour profile, and maybe some basil or something... but everything else about this pizza I absolutely loved! The service was really nice, they gave us some chocolates for dessert and answered all our questions. We really enjoyed this experience. Would totally recommend this joint for your next pizza in Markham. read more

Slice of Fire - Ephesus - medium $23, vegetarian. Perfect crust, and dough! - Pizza Near Me - Markham, Ontario

The pizza scene in Markham is pretty much nonexistent. It's just a sea of lazy, unoriginal, and overpriced options. Slice of Fire is supposed to be different, right? With their artisan options and pricing that rivals places in Toronto they have to be better, right? No. Not at all. I'm not going to talk about the customer service because that isn't even a thing anymore. Everyone is either overworked or struggling so if they can't be cordial I totally get it. I'll still tip and wish you the best. Anyway, I'm not sure why people like this place. I have to assume people in Markham never leave the area and have no idea what a good pizza is. Probably grew up on Pizza Pizza and think the stuffed crust from Pizza Hut is "fun". And you know that's totally cool because those places aren't charging $18 for a medium cheese pizza. Slice of Fire is and I don't know where they get the balls. The pizza actually looks great when you open the box. A little greasy but I have to admit it tricked me pretty good. I knew from the first grab of the crust to take a slice that the pizza would be terrible. It was like pinching a foam pillow. No resistance whatsoever. It only got worse from there when I picked it up and saw just how ridiculously thick the crust was. The crust is so thick that even with a very good bake on the underside it didn't cook all the way through. Someone should drive by on garbage day and tell me if there are a bunch of empty Costco frozen pizza boxes. It wouldn't surprise me at all. If you're looking for a crispy slice of pizza do not come here. read more
