Jackie M.

I've posted two photos The one on the left is the pizza I ordered last night. The one on the right is what I ordered last year. No cheese on the pizza on the left. I've ordered twice in the past four months I will not order again. So cheap with the cheese..... not impressed

Cold drink/hot girl pizza
Julie H.

Heard amazing things about this place and finally gave it a try. I tried the cold drink/hot girl pizza which basically consists of pepperoni, jalapeño, oregano and honey with tomato based sauce. The toppings compliment each other and it was sweet and spicy at the same time. The crust was super good, it was soft, crispy and chewy. I ordered the 13" size and it was just enough for two people. Definitely one of the better pizza places in Leslieville. Bonus: Greenwood Park is across the street so you can order take out and eat your pizza there.

Pepperoncini Sauce ($3)

Pros: + Delivered hot and fresh + High quality ingredients + Tasted amazing + Store, staff, presentation, etc. are all awesome + Expensive, but I would say it warrants the price as a nice treat Cons: - I can honestly say that this is the hottest girl I've ever been with since this was a 5/5 pie. Finally got around to trying Blondie's - a place I've wanted to check out for months! We ordered the 16" 'Cold Drink, Hot Girl' Pizza ($27) and man oh man... this was amazing. The jalapeño's were just right - not too many, not too little. The cupped pepperonies had a nice crunch and weren't too spicy. Some places have spicy pepperoni that just rots your gut out after 3 or 4 slices. There was also honey drizzled on top that complimented the heat nicely. The pie wasn't burnt or undercooked, but if you prefer well done, then it might be best to request that specification. The Pepperoncini Sauce ($3) had a great zip and creaminess. It really helped balance out the heat from the jalapeño's. I think I prefer Pizzeria Badialli's Pepperoncini Sauce since I like the chunkiness of theirs, but this was mouth watering as well. $3 is kind of like the most I could pay and it's a bit tough to make one serving stretch for a whole 16" pie - might need two sauces. Instead of the Pepperoncini Sauce, I may try their Black Pepper Sauce next time. We got this delivered and it came fast and was fresh. The locations look cool and the staff seemed very friendly. Many have commented on the presentation of the cool pink and white box and I love it as well. Sadly, I forgot to take a pic as I was too hungry!! Overall, Blondies is a straight 5/5 for me. It's a wonderful pie and one that I cannot wait to try again. I would highly recommend this spot to anyone!

Striking packaging that remind some of ten Rollin' Stones signature tongue sticking out. Due to covid everywhere is closed, but there's two Blondies location. I stopped by the Dundas St East location and there's no menu in the store. Everything is online. You can certainly order and do a pick up or order for delivery. I honestly didn't find anything too outstanding, or amazing. But pretty good if you're just hankering for something decent.

Ice cream twist (vanilla and horchata)
Greg F.

Came here yesterday for soft serve ice cream and it was really delicious! I ordered a twist (vanilla + horchata) and it was surprised at how good it was. I've never had horchata ice cream before so it was definitely nice to try something new. The ice cream tasted kinda like egg nog or chai, and the texture was soft but not too liquidy. I would definitely recommend the ice cream from here. I noticed this place was pretty busy with pizza orders and the pizza smelled really good. Next time I would definitely want to try a pizza from here and get the ice cream again too haha

Ordered: -13" Regina, The Mean One - ($17.00) -13" Cold Drink/Hot Girl - ($17.00) -Small Buttermilk Ranch Dipping Sauce ($3.00) Thoughts: Regina, the Mean One: chicken sausage, zucchini, asiago, green garlic. This is a white base pizza where the combinations work so well, especially with the green garlic. Cold Drink/Hot Girl: ezzo pepperoni, oregano, jalapeno, honey. This is a red base pizza, and has more flavor and heat than the other one. The dipping sauce was creamy and good, but so tiny and not worth the steep price. The previous time I had Blondies, the crust on both pizzas we ordered was extremely chewy, but I figured that was because we didn't eat the pizza as soon as we got it. This time, we ate the pizza right away, and the crust was just as chewy, so I guess that's how it's supposed to be. Because of that, I'm giving 3 stars, instead of 4. It also looks like the dough is first lightly fried, then baked.

Small Epoch pizza
Eddyc C.

I decided to try this place after walking past it so many times. I ordered a small Epoch pizza. When I opened the box it smelled real good. The pizza had a real nice taste to it however for me it was a bit over cooked. Parts of the crust were burnt. Maybe they should have rotated the pizza halfway through the cooking. They should slice the pizza into 6 slices rather then only 4 slices. Overall it wasn't bad but it was a bit over priced for a thin crust pizza. Another bad thing about this place is they don't accept cash !! Now what kind of business doesn't accept cash??!!

I want to give this place 5 stars bc the pizza is super yummy. But the price is steep to justify. BUT if you want to treat yourself to some quality zza I would recommend it. Wife and I devoured a large on our own.

These golden eyes pizza 13"
Ranji B.

As soon you walk into Blondies, you can't help but notice the hipster pink and polka dots of the pizza joint. Blondies offers delicious fresh made take out pizza. The menu is split between tomato (red) and alfredo (blonde) pizzas. You can also make your own. Their pizzas are pretty thin, and well done with a crispy crust. The 13" is ideal for 2 people if you're not too hungry, otherwise it's better to go 16". Prices are a little higher as the ingredients are not the traditional ones from your local pizza shop. I had the Golden Eyes pizza which features proscuitto, melted mozzarella, and banana peppers. Pretty tasty with a nice hint of spice. My only caveat would be to eat the pizza quickly as the thin base gets cold and hard faster than a normal pizza. Overall, pretty decent pizza joint in the east end that is worth stopping by if you're in the area.

Toppings are vast! Which is a plus! The crust was tough. And undercooked. Not worth the hype! Just an overpriced pizza pizza.

If for soft serve then it has no flavour. Texture is creamy though. Service was nice.

St. Lawrence, Downtown Core

This place gets a solid 4.5/5 for its authentic southern Italian food and very friendly & attentive…read moreservice. It has a very homey, old-school Italian American restaurant ambience - the opposite of the stylish, hipster or touristy restaurant vibe. Apparently this restaurants gets a lot of regulars, and I could see why. As soon as you walk in, you feel like you're transported back to the 1960s with the red-and-white checkered tablecloths, red chairs, old-style wax candles, brick walls, and a large black-and-white photo of an Italian family on the wall (perhaps the founder or owner's?). I could see this place being a movie set for films that need an old, classic Italian American restaurant as a setting. In addition to the décor, I love the 1960s music being played in the background. Size-wise, the inside of the restaurant isn't that big so it feels very cozy. It can get very busy and crowded after 5 pm, as most people seem to come here for dinner. We came during lunch hour and we were the only patrons there. The southern Italian touches are very apparent in most of their dishes - with heavy reliance on olive oil, tomato-based sauces (especially in the fish and seafood dishes), fresh seafood, herbs, peppers, and vegetables such as eggplant. This is in contrast to northern Italian cuisine that is characterized by rich, creamy dishes using butter, lard, and cheeses, and puts more emphasis on rice, polenta, and meat-heavy dishes (where as seafood is more prevalent in the south). Dishes that we tried: 1) Baccala (Pan-Seared Black Cod) - This was the BEST and my favourite dish here. The black cod had a crispy exterior and flaky interior, and came with roasted mini potatoes and mixed vegetables (zucchini, red bell pepper, Brussels sprouts, eggplant) roasted with garlic -- such a well-rounded and wholesome dish. The roasted mini potatoes were so flavourful, and the vegetables had a nice char. I asked for the puttanesca sauce on the side, as the fish was already flavourful on its own without the sauce. But the sauce was better than I expected - it contained actual whole chunks of cherry tomatoes and olives. 2) Steamed Mixed Fish & Seafood in Tomato Sauce - This dish wasn't on the website menu, but it was on the printed menu in the restaurant. It reminded me of cioppino (Italian-American mixed seafood stew with tomato sauce, herbs, and spices). It came presented as wrapped inside aluminum tin foil, which the server then opened in front of us on the table with steam coming out. The fish was salmon, and seafood consisted of mussels and shrimps. This dish was just alright. For almost $50, there wasn't much seafood. 3) Pizza Funghi - I liked the very thin and crispy crust, and the sliced roasted mushrooms as toppings, but I wasn't a fan of the "truffled honey" they added on top of the pizza. I didn't taste any truffle, and the honey made it very sweet. Not a fan of sweet pizza. 4) SIDES: Rapini, Brussels Sprouts, Mushrooms - They got bonus points for being able to customize the sides. They didn't have asparagus that day, so they substituted it for steamed Brussels sprouts with garlic instead - which was heavenly. The Brussels sprouts weren't overcooked at all, and they were generous with the garlic (anything with extra garlic gets extra thumbs up from me). The rapini came out chopped with a side of lemon wedge. Mushrooms weren't on the menu as a side, but we asked and they were able to make a simple side of just mushrooms. Overall the vegetables got 9/10. The chef was very friendly as he came out and talked to us. The server was extremely attentive. Great service overall.

Nice local Italian restaurant that is enjoyed by us locals as well as those who come down for shows…read moreat the St Lawrence ctr for the arts and the Meridian Hall as well as sports fan here for games. They have a great stock of wines and an impressive drink list that we don't get to enjoy as we can't handle drinks these days. We do enjoy the food and the friendly service immensely tho. Lots of options for shareable apps; excellent options on pizzas and pastas; and I am always impressed with their mains (as someone that has to limit carbs, options can be limited at some Italian restos). They are also understanding of reasonable diet requests. They have gluten-free options as well. It is more of a "quiet" restaurant in terms of the clientele chatter, at least for the times I was there, so I can hear the music they play ("oldies"!!!!)
