Two of us came in after a show to get a very late dinner. Went on the reviews for this one. Ordered two 11" pizzas; a Canadian and a Spicy Ham and Pineapple. Both with a very thin crust. We managed to eat half of them and packed the rest up for a snack the next morning. Hot and good customer service. Would recommend them.

We were starving after being out. We checked pizza ratings since pizza on every corner. This spot had high ratings. We walked in and sat immediately. We ordered a pepperoni pizza and added bacon. It was made to order and was served hot. It was so good. I think they are open til 1am. The service was good as well!

Cute spot - great food. We stopped in for a late lunch and it was just what we needed. We ordered house salad and the JZ Hawaiian pizza.

grabbed 2 qtro carne pizzas - 1 reg dough thin crust and 1 keto dough thin crust. toppings were generous, sauce was delicious, the reg dough crust is good. keto crust was alright also, loved the crispy bacon. its a little steep in pricing for 2 small pizzas (8pcs/pizza). appreciate the food jzs pizza team! woukd love to stop by again if we are in the area!

This Gem of a place is a must try! It's not a quickly forgotten pizza place, the cuisine is amazing, robust, fresh, and updated. I tried the apple pecan salad, Quattro carne pizza... OH Man! It was amazing. I would bring a date here for a late night bite anytime. Great music, game on big screens, nice people sitting up at the bar. Great service! Attentive, quick, and delicious food - if you are downtown and pondering for a place, I encourage you to try it out.

This is my second time here. The first time I wasn't even aware Yelp had a coupon here (spend $25 for $50 - essentially 50% off!). Both times my food was very delicious. So far I've tried the Jambalaya pasta and the lasagna, as well as a couple different pizzas. They're all incredible! This restaurant is located pretty centrally to the theatre so it's great for a pre-show (or post-show) meal. They also offer both chilli flakes and chilli oil to top your food, which is the perfect pairing. With the Yelp coupon the food here is an AMAZING deal (most pizzas/pastas are around $20 or less so you can get a dish for $10 essentially). I definitely recommend anyone check this place out and take advantage of this awesome deal while it lasts. This is define one of the better Italian places I've tried in the city.

Looking for a quick place to grab lunch in between movies during TIFF, we found Jz's. The very small restaurant had two of the six tables occupied and an empty bar when we arrived on a Sunday in the early afternoon. We split the Canadian pizza, which was topped with cured pork pepperoni, applewood smoked bacon, mushrooms, and mozzarella cheese. The 11 inch pizzas are cut in to 8 slices and are enough to share if you aren't too hungry. The pizza didn't take long to bake. The crust was crispy on the edges but the middle of the pizza was a little soggy, which isn't ideal. We checked out the daily specials and on Sundays, they offer half off of desserts. We ordered their raspberry greek yogurt cheesecake and three layer old fashioned chocolate cake, both of which were really good. Prices here are very reasonable and the service was great.

Our server was not attentive what so ever, he took quite a while to even take our order and at one point we had to wave him down. It was quite disappointing to know that this was how we were treated coming out for dinner. Now when it comes to the food, also nothing special. I ordered the Steak & Prawns but it definitely lacked flavours. Where I know the server was not being attentive was when I had asked for medium well and it came out medium rare. The prawns were garlicky and flavourful but the steak was definitely underwhelming. We also ordered the Nachos with Chicken (chicken was extremely bland), Calamari (nothing special), Parm fries (probably best thing I had), and the Trio Dip (which was alright). Overall was a mid experience and not sure I would come back, after the way we were treated. 5.5/10 Recommend!

Beertown occupies a commanding footprint in Toronto's Financial District -- a sprawling,…read moreenergetically lit gastropub that announces itself with a theatre of gleaming taps and an open, convivial floor plan designed unapologetically for the after-work crowd. It is, in many respects, exactly what it intends to be: a loud, generous, unpretentious haven for those emerging from Bay Street offices or rallying before a Scotiabank Arena event. The beer programme is the undisputed centerpiece. The selection is vast and thoughtfully curated, spanning local GTA craft offerings alongside storied European imports such as Erdinger and La Trappe. Flights arrive on paddles with coasters identifying each pour -- a charming detail that rewards the curious drinker. One could spend an entire evening simply navigating the rotating taps, and many regulars do precisely that. The kitchen delivers pub fare that, while familiar in concept. Service is warm and attentive on its best evenings, with staff who clearly understand the rhythm of a busy house. However, during peak hours the pace can stretch thin, and a lapse in table attention can surface. The noise level is considerable -- an unavoidable consequence of the venue's scale and popularity. Those seeking quiet conversation will find it a challenge; those seeking energy and the communal hum of a city unwinding will feel entirely at home. For the corporate denizen of the Financial District, or the sports fan looking for a spirited pre-game gathering point, Beertown is a reliable and genuinely enjoyable destination. The beer alone is worth the visit.

I'm not sure if it was our server's break but a couple of other servers came to check on us but couldn't (wouldn't?) take our order until our actual server arrived a while later, which was maybe 20 minutes or so. Not deterred, as we were hungry and thirsty - we ordered the giant beer paddles for our table to share and also a few apps. The beer arrived warm quite a while later and also only had the breweries names on the coasters, not the actual name of the beer so we guessed on a few. The apps were not memorable and were only warmish - so was not blown away. Too bad as the location nearer to me in Oakville was much better in terms of food and service. Even though my office is steps away, I wouldn't rush back.

Ambiance - 4/5: similar to most sports bar, it's dim and loud with a lot of sports games on tv. They had a lot of reservations so the tables were split off for our small reservation. It felt a little tight. There seems to be 2 levels of seating. Service - 3.75/5: we got there early but they were nice enough to seat us early. The host sweetly pulled out my seat for me. It took us awhile to decide what to order but the server was patient with us. He checked in on us a few times. Maybe because the tables are tight, servers kept knocking into my chair seving other patrons and my seat is all the way into the table. Food - 3.5/5: I appreciate that the menu gives little historical moments that happened over the years. we ordered: Spinach dip - comes with chips and pita. Some of the chips were heavily seasoned. The pita is soft but doesnt really absorb much of the spinach dip. The dip itself is light in flavor. I prefer the chips over the pita Steak frites - we ordered medium rare and they got the cook right. The steak knife is very bendy. It should have been a AAA striploin but for some reason it felt tough and was hard to cut through. The charcoal grill marks made the exterior too burnt, giving it a bitterness to the steak. It came with an arugula salad and a very genorous portion of fries. Everything was seasoned well. The arugula salad and the chimmichuri on the steak had a tartness to it which added some brightness to the dish. I typically don't use ketchup but I needed it to help me with the fries. I could not finish the fries Sundae - there's probably only 1 scoop worth of vanilla ice cream. It comes in a cup with whipped cream and berries. Overall: 3.75/5 - If we come back, I might try other food items.
