Probably the best late night pizza spot in the city. Worth the wait in line and huge portions. Would recommend!

The pizza here is pretty bad. I have had way better pizza before. So first off the crust is not crispy but instead it was chewey. The pizza itself looked flat. It was not even cheesy at all. Flavor was bland. I just know that if the pizza was left till next day, I don't think it would even taste good. I am definitely not a fan of their pizza.

Pie review: One of the best 2.5-3.0-star pizzas in the city. Sitting a few doors down from a 'Pizza Pizza,' both on West Queen West (which is a stretch of Queen street popular for social-oriented businesses). What makes this place's pizza stick out, is it is consistently busy with walk-in customers from the locality, which makes the pizza worker's skilled faster and provides fresher ingredients (including dough). Ordered 18" plain with extra cheese, nearly well-done, thin-crust ($19.75 for 18" + $2.50 for extra toppings, before tip). Asked for half tomato and half pesto for base sauce. The dough "airiness" was nothing memorable, nor was the flavour ("not bad"), but held up very impressively well for an almost-well-done baking (no dryness or black spots). The edges were cooked wonderfully (very nice crispiness) but the inner two-thirds weren't equally crispy. Still, most slices didn't flop down. Would highly recommend asking for a well-done pie as their dough handles it superbly well. Tomato sauce had traces of off-putting pronounced sweetness that was interlaced with a very light tomato savouriness. The pesto-base I would not recommend since it evaporated and left salty residual flavour to the cheese. The highlight was the cheese which had bounce to it like a fresh cheese curd and had a nice slight 'umami' tinge to it. They also offer garlic/herb-oil for free as a topping (I applied it to the edge only), which was nice. They do a 26" for $55 (and I believe this is the pie they serve their slices off of), and slices are not displayed on the front counter (instead on display on a table behind the counter). They close 4 AM Fridays and Saturdays for the late-night socializing crowds. All other days they close midnight. Overall, decently good pizza for pies in the area, which is being increasingly gentrified. Other location is 1598 Bloor St. W. outside Dundas West station.

Was a bit underwhelmed to be honest. Pretty good pizza, not bad, but not memorable to the point I'd recommend it when friends say they're in the mood for pizza. Even the prices, not cheap, not overly expensive, but very reasonable for the quality of the pizza. There was more crust then I'm used to for pizzas but maybe thats their style. The chicken pesto pizza we ordered was more cheesey then pesto-flavored, and the portions were definitely generous, however if you're looking for a never-forget pizza, for me this wasn't it.

Hands down the best pizza in Toronto. I've been coming here since I was a kid, and King Slice has NEVER disappointed me. The slices are BIG, the dough is delicious, the sauce is delightful, and the garlic oil is to die for. The service at both locations is stellar, and the ambiance is relaxed and friendly. King Slice is a Toronto staple, and whether you live here or you're just visiting, you gotta try a piece of this pie.

I've only ever come here very late after a night out but the fact that they stay open so late is amazing. There are long lines late at night but it's expected. Their slices really are the biggest i've seen in the city and well worth the price. After a night out, it definitely hits the spot. The only thing I would say is do not get the sandwiches, the one we got did not look or taste good - stick to the pizza.

This is the absolute best slices of pizza I've ever heard. The service is quick and steady. One minute you're in line and the next you're not. They have a pretty efficient system that people can just fall in line. This is my second time visiting on this trip! When I return to Canada, I will def be visiting again! The low lights make it a vibe for lunch or after hours. Top tier x2

One of my favourite pizza spots in the city! No frills, just good pizza at good prices. Their slices are huge, so I love to bring a friend, grab a $5 slice which when split in two is plenty for two people, then go across the street to the park and enjoy. Their pizza is overall very good, but the one thing that sets them apart is their herby garlic oil which they brush over the crust and pizza - it takes the pizza to a whole new level. Overall, would definitely recommend this spot if you're in the area and craving a slice of za!

QUALITY & QUANTITY PIZZA. For $5 you get 2 giant slices as seen in the photo! Arrabbiata was delicious! It had a nice spicy kick to hit due to the jalapeños. Would definitely order it again. Aside from the king slices the staff was very friendly & the store was packed at 1am. It's the perfect late night snack since they're open till 4:30am on Fridays!! This is definitely a place to visit if visiting Toronto!

After see a recommendation on TOBlog I knew I had to try. Being from Niagara Falls we lake slices and quality pizza. When I want pizza it's south bound to Buffalo. So I thought TO has slices and they must have some quality pizza. King Slice didn't disappoint. At 6.40 a slice I thought a little steep but the slice is huge and has Uber quality ingredients. The crust is nice NY style thin and chewy. The sauce is a sweet marinara that doesn't overpower the rest of the ingredients and the cup and char pepperoni comes standard not like some places that up charge. It's a fairly busy place, so a bit of a line .. no more than 10 min. I added a garlic sauce topping the just sent the flavor to the moon. Bravo King Slice you make an outstanding pizza. Highly recommended!

Decent slice, at 8,25 for pepperoni. Thin greasy, not terribly crispy at all. What more can I say?

This place gets a solid 4.5/5 for its authentic southern Italian food and very friendly & attentive…read moreservice. It has a very homey, old-school Italian American restaurant ambience - the opposite of the stylish, hipster or touristy restaurant vibe. Apparently this restaurants gets a lot of regulars, and I could see why. As soon as you walk in, you feel like you're transported back to the 1960s with the red-and-white checkered tablecloths, red chairs, old-style wax candles, brick walls, and a large black-and-white photo of an Italian family on the wall (perhaps the founder or owner's?). I could see this place being a movie set for films that need an old, classic Italian American restaurant as a setting. In addition to the décor, I love the 1960s music being played in the background. Size-wise, the inside of the restaurant isn't that big so it feels very cozy. It can get very busy and crowded after 5 pm, as most people seem to come here for dinner. We came during lunch hour and we were the only patrons there. The southern Italian touches are very apparent in most of their dishes - with heavy reliance on olive oil, tomato-based sauces (especially in the fish and seafood dishes), fresh seafood, herbs, peppers, and vegetables such as eggplant. This is in contrast to northern Italian cuisine that is characterized by rich, creamy dishes using butter, lard, and cheeses, and puts more emphasis on rice, polenta, and meat-heavy dishes (where as seafood is more prevalent in the south). Dishes that we tried: 1) Baccala (Pan-Seared Black Cod) - This was the BEST and my favourite dish here. The black cod had a crispy exterior and flaky interior, and came with roasted mini potatoes and mixed vegetables (zucchini, red bell pepper, Brussels sprouts, eggplant) roasted with garlic -- such a well-rounded and wholesome dish. The roasted mini potatoes were so flavourful, and the vegetables had a nice char. I asked for the puttanesca sauce on the side, as the fish was already flavourful on its own without the sauce. But the sauce was better than I expected - it contained actual whole chunks of cherry tomatoes and olives. 2) Steamed Mixed Fish & Seafood in Tomato Sauce - This dish wasn't on the website menu, but it was on the printed menu in the restaurant. It reminded me of cioppino (Italian-American mixed seafood stew with tomato sauce, herbs, and spices). It came presented as wrapped inside aluminum tin foil, which the server then opened in front of us on the table with steam coming out. The fish was salmon, and seafood consisted of mussels and shrimps. This dish was just alright. For almost $50, there wasn't much seafood. 3) Pizza Funghi - I liked the very thin and crispy crust, and the sliced roasted mushrooms as toppings, but I wasn't a fan of the "truffled honey" they added on top of the pizza. I didn't taste any truffle, and the honey made it very sweet. Not a fan of sweet pizza. 4) SIDES: Rapini, Brussels Sprouts, Mushrooms - They got bonus points for being able to customize the sides. They didn't have asparagus that day, so they substituted it for steamed Brussels sprouts with garlic instead - which was heavenly. The Brussels sprouts weren't overcooked at all, and they were generous with the garlic (anything with extra garlic gets extra thumbs up from me). The rapini came out chopped with a side of lemon wedge. Mushrooms weren't on the menu as a side, but we asked and they were able to make a simple side of just mushrooms. Overall the vegetables got 9/10. The chef was very friendly as he came out and talked to us. The server was extremely attentive. Great service overall.

Nice local Italian restaurant that is enjoyed by us locals as well as those who come down for shows…read moreat the St Lawrence ctr for the arts and the Meridian Hall as well as sports fan here for games. They have a great stock of wines and an impressive drink list that we don't get to enjoy as we can't handle drinks these days. We do enjoy the food and the friendly service immensely tho. Lots of options for shareable apps; excellent options on pizzas and pastas; and I am always impressed with their mains (as someone that has to limit carbs, options can be limited at some Italian restos). They are also understanding of reasonable diet requests. They have gluten-free options as well. It is more of a "quiet" restaurant in terms of the clientele chatter, at least for the times I was there, so I can hear the music they play ("oldies"!!!!)
