Tried 3 different slices here. Dough looks thick but is crispy and airy when you take a bite which is nice. Flavour punch just wasn't there for me and tasted a bland. May try a "made to order" pizza next time.

Kept hearing that this was the best pizza in Scarborough so decided to give it a try. Price $25-$30 per pizza Items ordered: -Spicy Pepperoni with Hot Honey -Ham Mushroom Brie with Bacon (extra add on) -Ranch Dipping Sauce Food Quality (Menu, Taste, Portion size) - 5/5 I've been hunting for something that tastes like Badiali and I think I found it! The dough was amazing, great combination of being soft while the bottom/crust are crispy. They don't skimp out on the toppings. The pepperoni was exactly how I like it, new york style. Both pizzas were great that I couldn't pick a favourite. The Spicy Pepperoni is pretty spicy so maybe take off some of the jalapeños if that helps. They have a wide menu, including slices and sandwiches but those run out so go earlier in the day. It is pretty pricy compared to pizza chains but on par with all those downtown pizza places. The dipping sauce was okay, I think you'd be better off getting dipping sauce from another place. Atmosphere - N/A Classic old fashion pizza place. Has some seating but mainly for pick up. Service - 5/5 Everyone there is so nice and helpful. Very welcoming when you walk in. Will I go again? Yes, need to try the others! It's very comparable to Badiali. It's a bit pricey compared to the chains but in the same range as all those downtown pizza places. Lash's Recommendations -Spicy Pepperoni with Hot Honey -Ham Mushroom Brie with Bacon (extra add on)

You should avoid the Internet for many reasons, not the least of which is that it dangles reviews of places like this in front of your nose, compelling you to make the big journey to Scarborough without a car to get a pizza there. This is a small pizzeria in a small strip mall. Inside is a very clean and functional take out space, There is a counter you might be able to stand up at, and in good weather there are three small tables outside, but if you're going there in winter, either have a car or buy a house nearby. There is one man (Mark, I imagine) who has a passion for pizzas, and it's recommended you order ahead of time and reserve a pizza. If you're travelling a huge distance, then this is a good idea. You can also add in a customization to your order online. I got there at the appointed time, and had to wait for a bit. The man behind the counter was friendly and efficient. I had time to take a little look around, and they offer some Italian groceries and what looked like maybe eggplant parmigiana in the fridge. The pizza came out and oh my goodness. I rushed outside to eat a slice at peak freshness and no, *you* burned your mouth a bit inhaling it. What flavour! Hot and sweet and salty and a slightly charred dough all combined to make a delicious bunch of bites! Even after I got it home and it had cooled down, I still happily devoured the whole thing. There is a good selection of pies with frankly upscale ingredients and upscale prices. But for excellent quality pizza, I don't mind paying extra. This will be an occasional treat for me, but it will be a very satisfying treat.

I'd heard this place had the best pizza in Scarborough, so I had to give it a try. While the pizza was good, I wouldn't say it's the best. I tried the pepperoni and mushrooms with truffle cream, as well as a veggie pizza with pineapple. For the price, I was expecting a bit more. That said, the service was great, the staff was friendly, and the pizzas were made fresh to order for my pick-up time. Overall, it was a nice little pizzeria.

One of my friends has been raving about Mark's pizza, so I just had to give it a try. I'm a sucker for a really good pepperoni slice and an even bigger sucker for honey on pizza, so I tried number five "Pepperoni with Jalapeño and Hot Honey" and it was absolutely delicious. Service was very fast and friendly. It's a takeout spot, so there isn't anywhere to sit and eat, but there is a little area to sit while you're waiting to pick up your order. I also ordered the ranch sauce. However, I accidentally dropped it on the way into my house so I won't be able to review it but it looked pretty large and it costed two dollars.

Forgot the exact ingrédients but something spicy with bacon and carmelized onion. Delish!

Been here a couple of times and each visit has been an absolute pleasure! I had to drop in to grab the sandwiches when I saw the weekly menu come through my email and boy, was I glad I did. I took the eggplant parm sandwich and my hubby ordered the mortadella. Both sandwiches were ginormous so we cut them into halves and we got to enjoy both sandwich halves. Mind you, even the halved sandwiches were too big to finish for lunch so I ended up saving some for late afternoon snack. The pizza slices we picked up for my daughter was also very good. Mark sells the most divine green olives which can be found in their fridge in a take home container. These olives are stuff of my dreams. Buttery, salty and delicious with a late night snack with a good salametti. I will definitely keep eating Mark's food as long as he is around!

I've been meaning to stop in here for a long time + finally made it today and my advice? Don't wait on Marks Pizza -- absolutely delicious. I took home 4 different slices for us to try: spicy pepperoni, cheese, white mushroom pizza + pepperoni and jalapeños. If I'm being honest ... the pepperoni + jalapeños slice was one of the BEST slices I've ever enjoyed (and I've tried lots of pizza!). The sauce was perfect, crust is crispy and tastes like pizza crusts should and the toppings were fresh and abundant. A hidden gem that deserves its flowers! (Also took home tiramisu because it's right thing to do). Your next pizza night or craving delicious takeout, make it Marks. Thank me later.

Favourite pie in the Scarborough area as of late, no hyperbole intended. Their pies are 16" and we ordered the "Cheese" pie at $25 [comes with basil, garnished with parm (not sure if Parmesan or Parm-Reg) and olive oil]. Asked for extra cheese and nearly well-done. The tomato sauce was easily the best factor in the pie. Very dynamic, pleasantly-seasoned, & potent tomato flavours in the sauce, without being too acidic or sour, with tangy hints. This wonderful tomato sauce was coupled with a nicely rich and savoury mozzarella, which created a superb "umami" (or deeply savoury) flavour, which was enjoyed by all. Reminiscent to adding a touch of anchovies to a dish. The outside inch was nicely crispy. But the rest of the pie could have been crispier. The dough was "good" (light amount of air pockets, and robust without being sweet) but could have had more air pockets/bubbles. Compared to 'Lamanna's Bakery' (where apparently, you have to order a pie 24 hours in advance, with slices available for immediate purchase), the dough's of each are both "fine" yet slightly different (Lamanna's had a tiny smokier flavour which I preferred, Mark's more neutral) but 'Mark's Pizzas' has easily the superior tomato sauce (Lamanna's was very plain, practically bland), and better mozz cheese flavour. I would reccomend not adding extra cheese to your pie, since it takes away from the excellent tomato sauce flavour, and arguably makes the pie less crispy since the heavy cheese would block heat from making the dough crispier. Seems they are adding and/or modifying pies weekly, so seemingly new flavour profiles available on the regular. Definitely a "recommended" if in the east Scarborough area, and would also reccomend visiting Lamanna's Bakery (for slices for immediate consumption (11am-5pm when open) or to pick up a pie 24 hours after ordering one, as per policy) and 'Mark's Pizzas' (as of this writing: Wed.-Sat. 3:00pm/3:30pm/4:00pm to 7:30pm-8:30pm, lunch Thurs.-Fri. 11:30pm-1:30pm ), as they are also less than 3km apart on the same road. At the moment, 'Mark's Pizzas' offers slices: Thursday and Friday 11:30am-1:30pm and soon Saturdays too.

Been here a few times and this is probably the best pizza in the Scarborough area. I always order the pies in advance and the pizza is at its best eaten right away and fresh. Service is great and the workers are very accommodating. There was a time when it was later in the evening the ones working there set up tables for myself and my gf to be able to eat outside. Pepperoni on the pizza is a lot, has a bit of spiciness to it and their cheese is top notch. Tomato sauce is tasty and the dough is soft and crunchy at the same time. Just got into pizzas this year and this is a spot that I will always go for pizza in Scarbz. Recommend Marks and will go here again.

Half cheese pizza and half #6 B - Chiles, Fresh Garlic, Basil And Hot Honey minus the pepperoni

Loveeeeeeees the pizza! Absolutly delicous ! I had half cheese and half #6 B - With Chiles, Fresh Garlic, Basil And Hot Honey minus the pepperoni. This is by far one of the best pizzas I have ever had! So much flavour and freshness I can't e even explain it! Highly recommend this place . The only reason I would Give it a 4 star is ..it needs more vegetarian options! I tried my pizza without the pepperoni and it was amazing ! But I would Love to see more veggie pizzas on their menu !

Insane pizza slices with only the finest ingredients go get some ‼

This place gets a solid 4.5/5 for its authentic southern Italian food and very friendly & attentive…read moreservice. It has a very homey, old-school Italian American restaurant ambience - the opposite of the stylish, hipster or touristy restaurant vibe. Apparently this restaurants gets a lot of regulars, and I could see why. As soon as you walk in, you feel like you're transported back to the 1960s with the red-and-white checkered tablecloths, red chairs, old-style wax candles, brick walls, and a large black-and-white photo of an Italian family on the wall (perhaps the founder or owner's?). I could see this place being a movie set for films that need an old, classic Italian American restaurant as a setting. In addition to the décor, I love the 1960s music being played in the background. Size-wise, the inside of the restaurant isn't that big so it feels very cozy. It can get very busy and crowded after 5 pm, as most people seem to come here for dinner. We came during lunch hour and we were the only patrons there. The southern Italian touches are very apparent in most of their dishes - with heavy reliance on olive oil, tomato-based sauces (especially in the fish and seafood dishes), fresh seafood, herbs, peppers, and vegetables such as eggplant. This is in contrast to northern Italian cuisine that is characterized by rich, creamy dishes using butter, lard, and cheeses, and puts more emphasis on rice, polenta, and meat-heavy dishes (where as seafood is more prevalent in the south). Dishes that we tried: 1) Baccala (Pan-Seared Black Cod) - This was the BEST and my favourite dish here. The black cod had a crispy exterior and flaky interior, and came with roasted mini potatoes and mixed vegetables (zucchini, red bell pepper, Brussels sprouts, eggplant) roasted with garlic -- such a well-rounded and wholesome dish. The roasted mini potatoes were so flavourful, and the vegetables had a nice char. I asked for the puttanesca sauce on the side, as the fish was already flavourful on its own without the sauce. But the sauce was better than I expected - it contained actual whole chunks of cherry tomatoes and olives. 2) Steamed Mixed Fish & Seafood in Tomato Sauce - This dish wasn't on the website menu, but it was on the printed menu in the restaurant. It reminded me of cioppino (Italian-American mixed seafood stew with tomato sauce, herbs, and spices). It came presented as wrapped inside aluminum tin foil, which the server then opened in front of us on the table with steam coming out. The fish was salmon, and seafood consisted of mussels and shrimps. This dish was just alright. For almost $50, there wasn't much seafood. 3) Pizza Funghi - I liked the very thin and crispy crust, and the sliced roasted mushrooms as toppings, but I wasn't a fan of the "truffled honey" they added on top of the pizza. I didn't taste any truffle, and the honey made it very sweet. Not a fan of sweet pizza. 4) SIDES: Rapini, Brussels Sprouts, Mushrooms - They got bonus points for being able to customize the sides. They didn't have asparagus that day, so they substituted it for steamed Brussels sprouts with garlic instead - which was heavenly. The Brussels sprouts weren't overcooked at all, and they were generous with the garlic (anything with extra garlic gets extra thumbs up from me). The rapini came out chopped with a side of lemon wedge. Mushrooms weren't on the menu as a side, but we asked and they were able to make a simple side of just mushrooms. Overall the vegetables got 9/10. The chef was very friendly as he came out and talked to us. The server was extremely attentive. Great service overall.

Nice local Italian restaurant that is enjoyed by us locals as well as those who come down for shows…read moreat the St Lawrence ctr for the arts and the Meridian Hall as well as sports fan here for games. They have a great stock of wines and an impressive drink list that we don't get to enjoy as we can't handle drinks these days. We do enjoy the food and the friendly service immensely tho. Lots of options for shareable apps; excellent options on pizzas and pastas; and I am always impressed with their mains (as someone that has to limit carbs, options can be limited at some Italian restos). They are also understanding of reasonable diet requests. They have gluten-free options as well. It is more of a "quiet" restaurant in terms of the clientele chatter, at least for the times I was there, so I can hear the music they play ("oldies"!!!!)
