Tough place to park! Tiny little joint, but when I looked into her eyes that was it for me. It was between the tuna sub, and the turkey sub, she recommended both but the turkey this time, and it was not only a deal, but it was delightful. The bread was unusual, soft and yellow, the lettuce delicate, with just the right amount of fixings. They could do with more napkins available, bathroom was fine. Looking for a thinner slice than this place is great! Only ever had the pizza but it has always been great. Its got a heavier amount of cheese compared to other thinner pizzas.In 10 years I cannot think of any problem I have ever had with Prides. These guys scored a Touchdown helping us. Need to have some 25 pizzas delivered to a Friday night football game. Unsure how many pizzas I would need. Victoria who answered the phone could not have been more helpful. We determined the amount needed and the time and place for delivery. Needed to be hot for the end of the game. The delivery guy called me a few minutes before arriving to confirm delivery location, parking area by the football field. The driver helped carry the boxes down to the tables we had set up and ran back to his car to get us napkins. Nice attention to detail. What a shame that customer service is no longer valued by people in the industry. Would it kill you to answer the phone and be polite or even welcoming? When I call and say, hello I would like to make an order for pickup.. "yeah, what do you want", or even better put the phone down without saying anything and wait for someone else to pick up. For those of you who actually care about how you are treated, boycott this place until they get a better person answering the phones. The food is usual pizza food; Nothing special. I used to be a big fan and frequent customer at this location but they have considerably declined in the past 2 years. Between a consistent drop in food quality and the constantly advertised inaccurate information hosted on their website about hours and prices, I've not only stopped eating at Prides but have actively told friends and family that I previously recommended to the restaurant that they aren't worth giving money to. If you are looking for a culinary experience that is genuinely disappointing from onset to end than I recommend Prides to you. Between employees who sound miserable on the phone, inconsistent meal quality, long delivery times, inaccurate menus, and falsely labelled hours you will find the experience to be incomparable to anywhere else. As a long term patron Prides in the past was somewhere I was not only happy to eat, but to give my patronage. Now, due to all these changes; I wish I'd just gone hungry and donated the money to a local charity. There's one woman in particular here that usually answers the phones and it probably the rudest person I've ever met. I understand she deals with college students regularly, but no respect is given to the customers who literally keep this place in business. The food is ok, nothing to write home about. Recently, I was told my food would be an hour and after calling twice, (and being told my food was coming) was told two hours later that my order was never put in. The woman's response was "yeah sorry". Nothing was done to mend the situation. Honestly, the only good thing about this place is that they're open until 2:00 AM. When I picked up my food, she barely made eye contact and was overall rude. Will not be returning because the customer service was horrid. The pizza was pretty good. very thin crust. sauce was very acidic. I ordered the triple decker chicken club. The chicken was nice and moist, but it needed more moisture like cheese or mayo in the rest of the sandwich. The three layers of bread made it a little dry. Boyfriend ordered the steak bomb, which smelled great, but tasted bland. Didn't notice any cheese in it. Overpriced as well. I'd rather order from Little Italy's for a much better pizza and get my sandwiches/subs from Bill & Bob's. Really great little deli. I've gone here a bunch of times and it never disappoints. Last time I was there I got a meatball sub; really great. It was such a simple sub I didn't expect anything too great but they really delivered. Very flavorful. I've never ordered one, but my friends have - you gotta try the Pizzilla. Excellent thin crust cheese pizza. The crust was perfectly proportional to the pizza; height and depth wise. The cheese had that glisten, not too cooked and appropriately melted. Flavor hit with classic italian seasoning, not too powerful but enough to satiate the taste buds. Lastly, the texture is near perfect, to the point where it goes down so smoothly you don't even realize you just downed a medium pizza all by yourself. I always thought Pride's had OK food... got lukewarm fries once. But, today, I went down there to pick-up a bite and the owner was outside yelling at a car full of girls. From what I can tell, the girls weren't even being nasty or rude. But the owner (I've seen him behind the counter a few times) was waddling around the parking lot like some strung-out Grimace, dropping 'f-bombs' and threatening the girls with the police. As a father, I was thinking about saying something. But before I could get out of my truck, the girls drove off and the manager went back inside. I just ended up driving off without getting anything because I didn't want to give a guy like that my business. And I'll tell you one thing; if any guy had spoke to my daughter like that, I would have dropped him like a bag of dogsh*t. And this isn't the first time I've seen issues with staff... There's this older chick there who acts like she doing me a favor every time she takes my order. Don't know about you; but I don't need all that drama. The food is definitely not worth it and it is definitely not a place for the family... And that's why I'm posting this, honestly. Wow! What a disaster. Just called 5 minutes ago and the girl that answered the phone must have been inebriated. I first ordered a chicken finger and fries to which she responded "the pizza"? Wait, what? Umm no chicken fingers and fries?. Then I told her I wanted the eggplant wrap. I said I think it's called the melanzana. To which she responded " the eggplant parm" ? Again I said no it's under the wraps. She told me to look up the menu online and call back. Again just wow! Ps I did look it up and it's listed as the melanzana which is what I asked for. My experience at Pride's was quite contrary to many of the reviews I have seen on this board. The service is polite, and the food is delicious. I could tell when I was eating one of their steak bomb subs that Pride's takes extra care to provide higher quality meats than most other places I've been to in the area. Their pizzas are creative, and also made with fresh ingredients. Tonight was my first time ordering from prides deli. A lot of people have raved to me about the prides buffalo chicken pizza and I decided tonight to try it. The pizza is delicious but it was cold when it was delivered. The temperature did not bother me because of the type of pizza that I ordered I prefer cold but if it had been cheese pizza I would have needed to pop it in the oven. I come from a small town in Connecticut which was littered with small family owned pizza shops. When I moved to the North Shore, I found plenty of roast beef, but not one place that sells a decent meatball sub. When the Deli up the street from my work came under new ownership, I decided to give it a test, The pizza was great! But the ultimate test was the meatball sub. To my surprise I got meatballs that were actually made there, not small wimpy meatballs that most places buy. The bread was crisped slightly in the oven and the cheese was warm and melty. Finally!! Waste of time. No courtesy for customers. On their website and menu it says delivers to manchester magnolia beverly . Call 830 on a friday and told they do not deliver to magnolia. Girl on phone was absolutly a bitch and basically said we dont deliver there and hung up. Why does your fucking menu/website say you deliver to magnolia when the young bitch at the phone wont even elaborate on something customers who look you up expect a delivery to a specific area. While most pizzerias in the area seem to buy pre-made dough, and cardboard cheese substitute, Prides Deli uses fresh ingredients, and has a pretty innovative menu. My favorite pizzas from them have been the basic cheese and artichoke pizza. I have also had the interesting "Taco" pizza, and Buffalo chicken pizza (pretty spicy stuff). The guys there are friendly, and they deliver. read more
