    Pesto Fettuccine with Broccoli
    Em B.

I have only been here once, so far. I ordered the Pesto Fettuccini with Broccoli, and zoodles made with zucchini, which came to $22. My favorite food is zucchini anything, and pesto to boot? *chefs kiss* It was alright, a little small though. It included sundried tomatoes, but I would have liked some steamed or raw tomatoes as well for a flavor boost. I've had the same dish with a bigger portion at a raw juice bar for $10. I do love that they are organic and have many options on their menu, but the prices are higher than I expected, even as someone who purchases organic groceries. I'd like to try some of their other menu options eventually.

This place is a celebrated neighborhood institution that I hope will never leave us. Their beautiful organic food and staff is always a delight, their hearty dinner bowls for $12.50 are the best bargain in the North Shore for a healthy meal any day of the week. Their personal pizzas and raw pie desserts are delicious, no matter how you slice it. See what I did there ~ ? ^__^

Organic Garden is one of only a handful of raw-vegan restaurants remaining in the US. I feel like there were a lot more back in the 2008-2012 timeframe, but many have closed. I didn't eat of the main dishes here, but I got a range of desserts. The almond chocolate chunk cookie ($3.75) was great: chewy, soft, and with an excellent almond flavor from actual almond flour. The almond butter sandwich ($4) was also pretty good and rich. I thought the blueberry cheesecake ($8.50) was tasty and not too sweet. Lastly, the tiramisu ($10) wasn't bad but didn't blow me away. The flavors felt too subdued to me; if you've had the tiramisu at Cafe Gratitude in Los Angeles, this one pales in comparison. All told, stop by Organic Garden for a dessert or meal.

This place is AWESOME! Everything is vegan. The menu is huge. I ordered 4 different items and was pleased with every single one. I highly recommend this cafe!

I visited Organic Garden Cafe on a sunday afternoon for lunch with my cousins. One of them insisted on it because of her dietary restrictions, and I'm pleased to say it was the right choice. First, their expansive drink menu is wonderful. You can have anything from a nice glass of organic wine, to a matcha latte, to a wheatgrass shot. The service is also excellent. Everyone who helped us was a sweet as can be. For lunch we ordered the Thai Bowl, the Sprout About Salad, and the Pure Pad Thai. Everything was excellent, but the star was the Pad Thai. Wow! For raw pad thai, it was pretty darn close to the "real" thing. The flavors were delicious. I got a couple of desserts before I left as well. I would recommend the vegan carrot cake. So good! Overall, I had a perfect experience and I would certainly come back. It can get a little bit pricey but for organic, clean and fresh healthy food, its worth it!

So so glad we found this little spot! We saw great reviews and popped in last month after leaving Salem. The corn chowder was phenomenal and the portions for everything we ordered were very decent sized. Definitely recommend stopping by here for fresh vegan options, or even just to grab an iced coffee!

It's in a great location in downtown Beverly with a large parking lot behind it, so parking was easy. Unfortunately, the food didn't live up to expectations. We ordered two appetizers: the calamari and the mushroom arancini. The calamari was the strangest version I've ever had, mixed with jalapeños, arugula, tomatoes, and marinara sauce placed underneath. The combination didn't really work, and I wasn't a fan of the sauce being on the bottom instead of on the side. The arancini was better, but still odd. It was served over some kind of Alfredo sauce, which again felt unnecessary. It seems like this place really likes putting sauce on the bottom of dishes, and it didn't enhance the food. The real highlight of the night was the drinks. We both ordered espresso martinis, and they were honestly the best espresso martinis I've ever had. There were several other cocktails that looked great as well, so we'll definitely be back to try more drinks. Overall, the food was underwhelming and didn't meet my expectations. I wouldn't come back for the food, as their takes on classic dishes just didn't work for me. That said, if you're looking for great cocktails, Soma is absolutely worth it, especially for the espresso martinis. Get dinner elsewhere in Beverly and stop by Soma for drinks!

I was looking for vegan-friendly options near my hotel, and this spot was conveniently close by. The menu had so much to choose from: bowls, handhelds, drinks, desserts, and more. I don't usually order iced coffees or teas, but the Blueberry Cloud Matcha sounded too interesting to pass up. It came out beautifully layered, with whipped foam on top, matcha in the middle, and blueberry syrup at the bottom. I noticed some people using straws, but I drank it without one, and it was delicious. The foam blended into everything perfectly while still keeping those pretty layers. My bowl came out soon after and was just as nicely presented. I especially loved the whipped sweet potato, which was such delicate touch. The bowl was also very filling, with lots of fresh, hearty ingredients, so I couldn't quite finish it--but it was satisfying and delicious. I visited late in the afternoon, around 3pm on a sunny Friday, and the cafe was still packed. There was plenty of seating, including cozy corners and brighter areas near the windows. Overall, it felt peaceful, relaxed, and very much like a community hub. If you're visiting Salem and looking for a vegan-friendly spot, this is definitely worth checking out.

Not only was the food filling, but flavor was so prominent in this dish. There were also a lot of textures at play from creamy to crunchy and all in between. (They clearly saw me there; we made eye contact and the one guy wasn't even doing anything.) After about 10 to 15 minutes of waiting with no service, we were about to leave when a server finally came to our table. Since they were obviously busy and weren't keeping up with the crowd that night, we tried to order two drinks each so they could save a little of their time and we could relax without worrying about if a server was going to take our order again before the end of the week. The server very sharply said that he was NOT going to give us two drinks at a time, CERTAINLY not with drinks of this high alcohol content. We ordered one drink each, cashed out and bounced. The cocktail I got was fine; I could make a slightly worse version at home at a fraction of the price (or even two at once!). We we were told later by a friendlier Salemite at a bar with a better vibe that there is a Massachusetts state law that prohibits having two drinks at once at a bar. Fair enough. Had our server told us that, unfortunately, he wasn't allowed to give us two drinks at once -- instead of making us feel like idiots/degenerates for daring to ask -- we probably would have dropped a lot of vacation money there that night. Oh well; we had a great time at the other places we went.

The oysters were great, well-dressed, clean, and delicious. The potatoes were absolutely fantastic. The chicken however... saying it was magical isn't exactly right but I have never had such a perfectly cooked chicken in my life. I did not know you could get such a crispy skin with such clear grill lines while keeping the white meat so utterly moist and delicious.
