Crave was listed in our Airbnb host's recommended breakfast spots noted as "the best breakfast sandwich you will ever have". I'm happy to say that it did not disappoint! I arrived earlier and there was a short line. There was about a ~10 minute wait for the order to be completed. I ordered the Northshore, lemon blueberry scone, and cold brew. I'd never seen maple aioli on anything before so I was intrigued. I devoured the sandwich within a few short minutes. It was absolutely delicious. The lemon blueberry scone was perfect - not dry and the lemon flavor / glaze was amazing. I was only in town for a day, but I would 100% go back and have Crave as my first breakfast option if I'm ever back in the area. read more

Crave was recommended to us during our stay in Beverley and I'm really glad that we stopped in. I had the bacon, egg and cheese breakfast sandwich and a coffee. I really enjoyed the sandwich. The bacon was as thick and crispy and I found the sandwich to be very filling. There was a line but the wait was not long and our order was ready under 10 minutes. There is some seating inside but we took our orders to go. We will definitely return is we are in the area again! read more

Food? Absolutely amazing, arguably one of the best sandwiches I've ever had and this is coming from someone who grew up in nyc !. Service? Absolutely amazing, the person was very attentive and didn't mess up our order and even brought us our food and remembered who's food was who's and gave us our food individually. 10/10 would give 20 stars if I could. read more

Crave - Bacon egg and cheese sandwich - Bakeries Near Me - Beverly, Massachusetts

I was visiting beautiful downtown Beverly and searching for a spot with great coffee and (fingers crossed) some gluten-free pastries. I found Crave through the Find Me Gluten-Free app, and the high ratings definitely lived up to the hype! It was just a quick, easy drive, and the bakery was easy to spot. Inside, it's super cute, clean, and welcoming. The menu was surprisingly full of gluten-free options--from breakfast sandwiches to coffee drinks--and their pastry case had about 8-10 different gluten-free and/or dairy-free goodies. I went with the blueberry lemon scone and WOW. It was unreal. Moist and cake-like (not dry and crumbly like many GF scones), with a light glaze and a perfect lemony-sweet flavor. I literally almost cried--it was that good. I savored every bite and was honestly glad I don't live closer, or I'd be there every single day. I also grabbed a cold brew, which they brew in-house and serve on tap. It was strong, smooth, and delicious--just how I like it. Whether you're gluten-free by choice or necessity, Crave is a must-visit. Friendly staff, delicious options, and a cozy vibe--what more could you want? Do yourself a favor and stop in. You won't be disappointed! read more

Crave - Gluten Free Blueberry Lemon Scone - Bakeries Near Me - Beverly, Massachusetts

We did not have a good experience. First, the online ordering system leaves a lot to be desired. We were in the middle of placing an order and they shut down their online system for 15 minutes. So we waited. Two egg sandwiches, one croissant, a coffee with an espresso shot, a hot latte and a chai tea latte. Nothing unusual. Their system said the order would be ready two minutes after it was placed. That's just silly, so we waited 10 minutes before heading over. We arrived and picked up our bag with all the items listed on the receipt and headed back. Turns out, two items were missing that we had already paid for. We now headed back once again to Crave. We thought that maybe we forgot a bag, but no, they just failed to add two items and let us leave. "We tried to call you but your line was busy," was the answer, but that's simply not true. I wasn't on the phone and I have a cell phone -- busy signals do not apply. There was no record of an incoming call either. The attitude of staff was not apologetic whatsoever. A simple, "We're so sorry" would have sufficed. One of the items we had ordered was now out of stock. In fact, one staff member said, "You're the third customer today who didn't get their cinammon croissant," which only revealed the failure of their ordering process. With limited options, we chose the Nutella croissant as a substitute. Returned home and finally ate. One sandwich was delicious (bacon-egg-cheese on a ciabatta roll) but the other had sriracha instead of ketchup as requested -- made a big difference in taste which we did not like. The replacement pastry we were forced to choose tasted very stale and not so much of Nutella. Coffee with a shot and the latte didn't taste particularly strong. Iced chai latte was fine, but nothing to write home about. Not worth $54 -- including a tip for staff that we wished we could rescind. Would NOT return, especially not with all the breakfast options in Beverly. Hard pass. read more

They need more options for food that are vegetarian. The cold brew wasn't as strong as I would have liked, tasted like flavored water.

Well the problem was I needed 10 sandwiches for the in laws and something that would travel well and some unique drinks. Of course I could be the good son in law getting something from the pinkity drinkity place but that food sucks!! In order to become the favorite son in law I go to crave, online order pesto blts, north shores, BEC's on croissants and iced and hot biscoff drinks and one whack looking green drink and bam...i rise to the top of the family food chain. Extra thanks to Ken the owner who boxed and carried out the sandwiches to us so I wouldnt get a parking ticket and the rest of the staff who made me feel like my order was the only order that mattered. If i can satisfy my MIL with great food and service then I will keep going back!! read more

Crave is great. If you are looking for a place to go in, getting waited on and sit for a couple of hours this isn't for you. However, if you are looking for fabulous baked goods, a tasty breakfast sandwich, or a good cup of coffee, then this is a great place to stop by. I go there mostly when I am looking to pick up things to go. I recently brought some blueberry muffins for a friend who had covid. They were very appreciative. All food has a homemade taste, and the people who work here are so sweet and nice. Definitely worth a trip. read more

I have just ordered for the second time, the first time no complaints, today though I ordered a sandwich and added bacon but bacon was not on the sandwich I received. That's $2 I spent for bacon I didnt get and ordering myself breakfast to begin with is a splurge so really wish I hadn't LOST the $2, shouldn't have bothered tipping. read more

My daughter took me here last weekend. It's not a big place. But the coffee and the food was phenomenal. I would certainly go back.

I usually make a stop here at least once on my trips up. Their breakfast sandwiches always have a good flavor profile. Their drinks aren't anything special, maybe a bit sub par when compared to the delicious sandwiches. If you go on a busy day, double check your order (I've had bacon missing on one of their premade sandwiches :( ). There is some seating in side but I wouldn't consider it a food place to do work, but if you're just conversing with people then that place should accommodate. read more

The name says it all. Once you come here, you will Crave them! They have freshly baked in-house croissants of many different flavors, and I stick to the same order--egg & cheese on a buttery croissant. I love their Breakfast Sandwiches. I wish they had more options without meat, maybe add tomato and spinach, but it's not a deal-breaker. They have delicious teas and lattes. My favorites are the Dirty Earl Grey and Dirty Chai Lattes. They also have a ton of different unique cupcakes if that's your thing. I tried them once and it was very good, but I don't eat cupcakes anymore. If sweets are your thing, they won't disappoint in that area, either. Ambience: 5/5 Food: 5/5 Service 5/5 Crave: 5/5 read more

Popped in on a Tuesday morning and ordered the Northshore sandwich and an iced with simple syrup. Wait was about five minutes for my sandwich. The maple aioli on the sandwich was *chefs kiss*. I've never had a bfast sandwich like this before and it's all I've been craving since I returned from vacation, really living up to their name. The iced tea was fresh and staff was friendly. Their desserts looked yummy but I was so full after my sandwich so I didn't have the chance to try anything. Next time! read more

I could have sworn I reviewed Crave already. Shame on me for taking this long considering I've loved this place for months. While I wouldn't call myself a croissant connoisseur, Crave has the best croissants I've ever had. They have some great sweet flavors, like almond, Nutella, and raspberry and mascarpone cheese. Savory croissant flavors include ham and Swiss cheese. They also have rotating seasonal flavors, like pumpkin spice and birthday cake. The plain butter croissants are excellent on their own or used in a breakfast sandwich. I've only had the North Shore, which I highly recommend, and I want to try their others as well. I love their coffee and iced tea too. My favorite drink is the Dirty Chai, which is a chai latte with espresso. Delicious hot or iced. Customer service is always excellent. The interior is small but cozy. If you go early in the day you may not be able to find a seat. If you are fortunate enough to have the time and a place to sit, this is a nice place to relax and enjoy your food and beverage. If you're just here to pick up, the City of Beverly offers free street parking for 20 minutes, and there's plenty of parking space on Rantoul Street. read more

Crave - Croissant selection as of 1/3/20 - Bakeries Near Me - Beverly, Massachusetts

Great breakfast sandwich. Service was good when I went, but it was an off time. Very clean and modern decor

Crave is an awesome breakfast/lunch spot. I had the Whole Hog sandwich: Sausage, bacon, prosciutto, over-medium eggs, Cheddar cheese & spicy herb ketchup, served on a toasted brioche bun and the tator tots with a matcha latte. The sandwich was great, though could use some more sauce (I added some hot sauce on the side which helped). It seemed like the restaurant was slammed with online orders - I am not sure how things are organized but there was a bit of a wait while the online orders were cranking out. Tator tots were amazing and the sauce that came with it would be AWSESOME on sandwiches. read more

Phenomenal! Stopped in with my family looking for a bite. This place absolutely delivered. Funny enough, they were out of a number of items, which must be due to popular demand. I got the steak and egg sandwich, and while they were out of the cream sauce, the sandwich was still INCREDIBLE. We also got the tots and the Classic, both of which were delicious. Highly recommend. read more

Crave really lives up to its name. I crave these breakfast sandwiches and have to keep myself from getting one every weekend! Their gluten free herb and cheese bread is amazing. Even if you don't have to eat gluten free, try this bread. It's absolutely delicious! My favorite sandwich is the Northshore: eggs, maple bacon, maple aioli, cheddar cheese. All of their sandwiches are 100% customizable, so I always get this on the aforementioned GF bread. My husband loves the Crave sandwich and adds prosciutto. The Boursin cheese/pepper jelly combo on this sandwich is great. We usually grab a couple of cupcakes to go. Cupcakes rotate seasonally and we haven't had a bad cupcake yet. They're all gluten free, but these aren't your typical GF baked goods. They're moist, fluffy, and full of flavor. I bet you can't even tell that they're GF. Drinks are also fantastic. If you're a fan of chai tea lattes, try theirs. If you need an extra pick me up, order a dirty chai. Crave gets busy on the weekends, so order ahead on their website. We love to grab breakfast and eat it by the water on nice days. This is worth a trip out of your way! read more

Crave is one of my top cafe and coffee loves, of all time. The new store location is pristine, bright, and clean. The cold brew is brewed to perfection: chocolatey and smooth. The food is insanely good and many, many gluten-free options. The owner makes sure the quality of the food and drink is always perfect, and the baristas are some of the coolest people I've met. So seriously, if you're a local, you already know how good this place is. If you're new around here or visiting, definitely go here! It's worth the wait, the drive, the cravings. read more

This place seems like it would be an overrated hipster spot (this was my first impression before going there) but I was with someone who was Gluten free and Crave offered some GF options, so here we went. I grabbed the Northshore breakfast sandwich and it was delish. I now go there somewhat often and I often make my own sandwich -- Brioche bun, ham, egg, avocado, Boursin cheese and aioli = . Their coffe is also delicious. Employees are always super friendly and the online order and pickup process smooth. They do go a bit heavy on their sauces so make sure you're either a more graceful eater than I am or that you're wearing something you don't like, because the odds of those sauces meeting your shirt are high at times. Definitely recommend this place for the cool hipsters and the mediocre people such as myself. read more

My sister recommended that I visit Crave, and I'm glad she did. This cute little cafe is super popular, with lines forming before the doors even open on the weekends. You will be waiting--my order took longer than it did for me to drive there are back, and I live in the neighboring city, so...yeah. It's small, so you if you don't get there early, you likely won't be able to get a seat. However, the staff is incredibly friendly. I loved my nitro cold brew and the caramel latte was amazing. I appreciate that I can get an egg-free breakfast sandwich (fluffy pita with bacon, avocado, cheddar, and pepper jelly), and it was delicious. I also got two cupcakes, and those were the only bad thing. They were dry with no flavor. I also asked if one had cream cheese frosting, and was told no, but it did. So definitely skip the cupcakes. I know others really like them, but we threw them out, that's how bad they were. It's a fantastic place for coffee and a breakfast sandwich, my two favorite things, so I highly recommend going to Crave. read more

HOOOOLLYYYYYY EGG SANDWICH ! A local recommended this spot and man i am so happy they did. Luckily it was right down the road from where we stayed! The egg sandwiches are one of the beat ice ever had! I got the hog or something. It was GIANTTTT. Had to weigh at least a pound. They also offer some pastries, coffee, hot chocolate. I had to get a specialty croissant and the hot chocolate, nutella latte with homemade marshmallow. The hot chocolate couldve been a lil thicker, and the nutella latter couldve had more nutella. But overall, everything was perfect ! read more

The Northshore breakfast sandwich is purely addicting and has become my occasional goto. However, I do feel that they get their counter staff from the RMV reject pile. If I'm paying $18 for a really good breakfast sandwich and a very average cold brew, I do not think it's too much to ask for a smile and to be thanked for my business.
