This is my favorite place to grab a quick coffee or pastry before heading to the beach! This adorable little shop has some delicious food, just make sure to get here early before the crowds. They have some very cute seats indoors to eat at (if there's space available), or it serves as the perfect pit stop on the way to the beach. My favorite is the iced mocha, but it's hard to go wrong here!

Generally, this could be a 4 star spot, but the service was unreasonably slow. I stopped in with a friend for a coffee and sandwich and it took a good 30 minutes, which seemed like a very long time for a casual café type place. Wait time aside, the menu had tons of fun options and the food itself tasted great. We especially enjoyed the outdoor seating area. Definitely a local neighborhood spot. Maybe I'm just spoiled by faster service in Boston, but if you don't mind waiting around, this could be a solid place.

We went before the beach and got smoothies for breakfast and sandwiches to go for lunch. The smoothies were delicious! The sandwich I got (turkey pesto) was just ok in my opinion. My friend liked her sandwich though. The lady who took our order was kind, and there is a public bathroom. The food did take a very long time to come out, but I would definitely go back!

Second time coming here. Went with the same singing beach sandwich that was great. Friendly staff. Layout inside could be a little better but still happy with the experience.

Very happy with this place, everyone was nice. The coffee lattes were relishes and the reboost smoothie was excellent.

This is a delightful breakfast/coffee spot in the heart of town. The prices were reasonable, too! I ordered the ham, egg, and cheese on a plain (locally made) bagel and a large iced black tea. The food was delicious and exactly what I'd wanted. Also, every staff member was super friendly and helpful. If I had to guess I would say it's a family-owned business as they clearly care a lot about customer experience. It was also cute to see lots of customers greeted by name - clearly, the locals like this place too! After eating my sandwich I stayed for a couple of hours to work on my computer. They have great free wifi and a nice big bathroom as well. Before leaving I bought a can of kombucha and a cinnamon chip scone to have at the beach - both were EXCELLENT! I will definitely come back here next time I'm in town.

What I found was an oasis of superb coffee, remarkable food, great service, and a fine dining experience (even for someone just off a motorcycle.) My large Cappuccino was hot, tasty, and seemingly bottomless. Expertly crafted and delivered. My Egg White Green Omelet was unlike any other omelet I have consumed. Loaded with vegetables and just enough cheese, it was warm throughout and (like my coffee) expertly crafted. I noticed a steady stream of customers coming in for drinks and breakfast items. I can see why. My meal was very modestly priced given the quality, quantity, preparation, and service. There was enjoyable music playing, and the dining space (and restroom) is very tastefully decorated and spotless. And, well, I won't keep you in suspense but that first bite of the salted honey butter and jam biscuit was transcendental. It was a little crumbly but so chewy and moist, and the jam and honey butter combo was incredible. Indescribable. They have so many pastry options, as well as breakfast sandwiches, but I really had eyes only for the biscuits. Also tried the cheddar scallion biscuit - amazing. I'm running out of adjectives to describe how good these were. The key for super flaky, tender biscuits is using very, very cold butter and not mixing the dough too much. It was cool to watch people baking in the back kitchen. Got the quiche as well. Tasty, with a nice mix of egg and veggies and cheese, with a well-made crust, but next time I would just get more biscuits. Lots of free parking spots in front and nearby. Their menu is centered around the almighty biscuit - biscuits/scones are one of my favorite ways to inhale carbs but they can run on the too bread-y side of the spectrum. These were fantastic: delicate crumb, beautiful golden color, and sturdy enough to hold in all the sandwich fillings. I went with the classic breakfast egg sandwich (scrambled egg, cheese, and arugula) and added sausage. This was one of those rare situations where the bread vehicle outshined the fillings. The egg, while nice and fluffy (and tasted like real egg instead of the diluted mix I've had elsewhere), could have used some more seasoning and was begging for a healthy dollop of ketchup or hot sauce. The only thing that came through strongly was the salt crystals on the top of the biscuit. Tried a bite of my husband's chicken salad on a cheddar/onion biscuit and had the same reaction - the biscuit overpowered everything else. Not that I'm complaining. The bakery is on a side street off the busier, more touristy Rogers Street. I had this idea too late but next time I'm in Gloucester, I'd take a biscuit sandwich to the beach area along Western Ave. The cafe itself is very, very cute, with little nooks and crannies everywhere for seating and even a comfy looking couch. Bathroom was clean. We found a parking lot one street over in the other direction.
