I am SO impressed and delighted by Union Café! It's right off the bus stop and a perfect place for a refreshing drink (all the coffees, smoothies and bubble drinks), beautiful pastries, sandwiches and breakfast foods. The owners were working the counter and super friendly and welcoming. The space had three marble top counters and was clean. I ordered an iced caramel machiato and it is truly hitting the spot. It is so delicious and creamy that I was immediately inspired to write this review! I see that Union Café has catering too! I would say that Union Café is perfect for a to-go order, a place to meet a friend, or (like me) a pleasant spot for a drink while reading a book or writing a letter.

My mom and I have made sure to stop by this local cafe to support family owned businesses. Every time we are greeted by the amiable owners who mention how they are expanding the items on their menu. In addition to their delicious breakfast wraps and muffins from gingerbread house, they will be offering Richardson's ice cream from Middleton as well as sandwiches made on their newly installed oven. A little pricey but considering everything is purchased locally or made in house, I'd say it's worth it. Indoor seating area is small but there are a few additional tables outside as the weather warms up. I will definitely be returning to try more meals from here.

Ten outta Ten! Came in with my wife today before the beach. Grabbed a couple ice coffees and a couple sandwiches. The drinks and food were so good it made our morning, but Charbel "Charlie" and the staff made it perfect. Shame I'm far away or I would be coming here every weekend! Absolute gem. read more

The service is great. Cute little cafe with 3 small tables to sit if you wish. A lot of drink options. My second time going an i will be back again. You can tell they take pride in their business. Very smiley towards the customers, i got the shaved steak breakfast sandwich with onions an it was on one of softest bagels I've ever had. I'll give the sandwich an 8.5 out of 10. All it needed was a little more sauce an it be perfection! read more

Union Cafe is newly opened in downtown Lynn. We stopped by today for coffee and pastries. My iced caramel latte was good and my stepmom liked hers, too. My dad enjoyed his black coffee. We got the almond and pistachio croissants and once warmed, both were delicious. They carry Gingerbread Construction Co. muffins, which I'll definitely be back for, and Richardson's ice cream, which my dad will be back for. I'm excited for this new cafe. read more

***ALERT-WARNING TO ALL CUSTOMERS/PATRONS OF UNION CAFE, UNION ST-CENTRAL SQ. LYNN, MA*** First and foremost, I want to apologize for not being able to post this sooner. Incident occurred AUGUST 11th. MY BIRTHDAY ! I have visited this establishment, Union Cafe, Union St., central Sq. Lynn, many, many times for breakfast. Have taken my mom several times for breakfast. I usually get the same, the #2, posted in the picture, always "no bacon please ". ALWAYS. Also, 2- Espressos, one for now and the other when I get my Breakfast sandwich, no bacon . And usually leave with the "Green" smoothie. I have have tried their grilled paninis posted and other smoothies. Have always been satisfied; reason for my return patronage. This particular day, The owner was at the POS cash register, not the usual ladies, I interact with for ordering. This particular day, August 11th (My Birthday) for some reason, I was ordering not as quickly as my prior visits. I noticed the owner was charging me an extra $1.00 for my usually #2, no bacon. I asked him, why is he charging me $8.99 instead of the posted price of $7.99? He said, because I want Avocado . I said, yessss, it's part of the ingredients listed on Your Breakfast Sandwich board! He continues, if I want avocado, it's an extra $1.00. So I ask him, how is a customer supposed to know if they want to pay the extra money for an ingredient listed on #2, on Your sandwich board. He said we always ask if a person wants avocado. NOOOOOO, because I've come here plenty of times, and have never been asked if I want to be charged extra for listed items. Then of course, now he's getting rude and defensive because he is in the wrong. He was like well do you want it or not. I said well I'm here and I came here to eat. He charged me the extra money, MIND YOU HE DIDNT DEDUCT FOR MY "NO BACON "! Again, who knows how many times, they have done this to me and Other customers. And who knows what other items are they charging extra for items already listed as part of the Posted Items! And icing that day, I asked for a "Mango" smoothie, yea right. Thanks for the Mango Slush! Let the ladies make the SMOOTHIES! I haven't been back since! And it's to bad, because I really loved my #2, no bacon. Now their food is amazing! Not criticizing the food. read more

It's often debated locally, "who has the best steak and cheese?" I can now say, undoubtedly, it's the Union Cafe's shaved ribeye steak and cheese. I ordered mine with mayo and hot peppers on toasted ciabatta bread. The steak is juicy and melts in your mouth. The ciabatta is soft and makes for an easy bite. The owners are extremely welcoming and nice. Can't wait to go back and try some more sandwiches! read more

I'm here visiting from CA and there are a few cafes and coffee shops in my neighborhood, but I stumbled across Union Cafe and I've been hooked ever since. Each morning I take a stroll and end up in this paradise of sweet treats and delicious coffee. After a few visits I decided to try out the pancake breakfast. Chefs kiss! Their food menu is extensive enough to dine in for breakfast or lunch, and if you want a fluffy sweet dessert you can stop by before they close in the evening. The staff are so cool. Friendly, attentive and all around cool people. This is my coffee shop of choice when I'm in town. read more

Attempted to go here this morning... At 7:30 and there is no one in sight. On their door it says they open at 7 AM on Sundays on their yelp it says they're open at 7 AM on Sundays. Was excited to try it but because of this, won't be back. Update I just called at 8 AM to figure out the real time they open. A solid spot for a breakfast sammie and hot coffee. It's right off the train and on my way to work. The breakfast sandwiches are affordable and ready fast. The coffee is hot and affordably priced. The pastries are tasty too. I've gotten some of their lunch options and they do the trick but I prefer their breakfast options. Customer service is great too. read more

The food was all good except the hash-brown; Thats my favorite style and it seemed damp with oil. The staff was great they have excellent chemistry, there was one guy who made sure everyone was taken care of. Egg and cheese the way you like it doesn't miss. Try it. read more

We happened by last Sunday and were puckish so we popped in and had the turkey panini and a ham and cheese croissant, with cappuccinos and the owner gave us a cookie for dessert. Everything was really delicious! If you are downtown, and anywhere near the commuter station in Lynn, most definitely stop and try this place. The prices were really good and the sandwiches and the coffee and deserts were outstanding. read more

There was a "surprise" course where you don't know what you'll get. I'm adventurous so went with that. What I didn't know was it just means she'll throw together whatever is leftover in the pot from yesterday and heat it up for you. The food was 90% awful, not fresh, reheated leftovers. Then we were leaving, no desert thanks. She insisted we have desert, cannolis. We tho if he they were comp lol, but when the bill came...there is no bill! She just gives you the total lol. Pretty sure we paid for desert and the awful food. I don't know how this is an over 4 stars.

I just had the most delicious salad from Union Cafe! The staff was so friendly. The small gesture of coming out from behind the counter to hand you your food and drink is such a nice way to connect with customers. Thanks, Union Cafe! Can't wait to come back. read more
