Awesome breakfast spot serving quality food. We stopped in for a late breakfast and the place was pretty packed but luckily we didn't have to wait for a table. Although it did take a while for our server to come over and throughout the service, she was still very nice. Only stressed us out cause we had to get to work. I ordered the eggs Benedict, my boyfriend got an omelet, and we split plain pancakes. Lot of food but everything was delicious. My boyfriend liked that you could get homestyle baked beans as a side too. It's simple inside but they've definitely renovated since I came here last. I would like to begin by saying that we have been loyal customers of this restaurant for many years. Throughout that time, we have never had any complaints or issues and have often spoken highly of both the food and customer service. Unfortunately, our experience on Mother's Day was deeply concerning. My boyfriend and I visited for breakfast and ordered the banana bread. At no point on the menu was it indicated that the item contained nuts. My boyfriend has a tree nut allergy and unknowingly consumed walnuts in the banana bread. Shortly after returning home, he suffered a severe anaphylactic reaction that required emergency medical attention. We ultimately had to call an ambulance and spend the day in the emergency room. Following this incident, we contacted the restaurant multiple times to explain what had happened. Our primary goal was to bring awareness to the issue so that the menu could be updated and future customers with food allergies would be properly informed. We were repeatedly told that someone would follow up with us, but no one did. When we were finally able to speak with a manager weeks later, my boyfriend was told that he "should have assumed there were nuts" in the banana bread. We found this response both dismissive and disappointing given the severity of the situation. We were then informed that the matter would be discussed with upper management, including the possibility of refunding our meal, and that someone would contact us again. Unfortunately, after missing a return call, we promptly reached out via text message and provided several times when we would be available to speak. Although the manager acknowledged our message, we never received any further communication. We are extremely disappointed by how this situation was handled, particularly given that it involved a life-threatening allergic reaction. What began as an effort to raise awareness and prevent a similar incident from happening to someone else was met with a lack of follow-through and accountability. As a result, despite being longtime customers, we have made the decision not to dine here again. read more

Went for breakfast and had my usually. Corn beef hash with two eggs, bagel grilled and French fries instead of home fries. YUMMMY. The cons: this is not an inexpensive place for breakfast. Coffee, while refillable, is $4. Our breakfast was just over $50 for two. They upcharge for the bagel, add for cream cheese making it almost $20 for one before the $4 coffee or iced tea. With that I will keep coming back as they have the best corn beef hash around. This visit the place was super cute decorated with tons of balloons for Valentine's Day which gave the place a really cute vibe. Service is hit or miss here depending on the waitress and how busy they are. Sometimes your flagging someone down for coffee refills others they are on it. It's definitely inconsistent. read more

We had a very good breakfast here. Saturday morning on a holiday weekend, but still got a table and was seated promptly. Our server was friendly and efficient and made sure to check on us to top up coffees etc. As for the food - we started with the sweet potato pancakes. The plate arrived nearly overflowing with three gigantic pancakes slightly dusted with powdered sugar. They reminded us of fall and were quite tasty. The other dishes we ordered included an egg plate, an omelette, and some a la carte fruit. Everything was hot and delicious. We especially liked the dark rye toast and would recommend it as an accompaniment to your entree. The restaurant had plenty of comfortable booth/table seating and was very clean. I used to go to iron town every Sunday, since change of ownership, the prices are now astronomical. For example, I went with two adult adults and two children and it cost $88 not including tip. Historically this has been my go-to breakfast places 3 or 4 times a month. It was the great menu with lots to choose from. The amazing amazing staff always bringing smiles and sass recognizing repeat customers and just putting that extra care into their service . I know the ownership has changed a couple years ago and things slowly started disappearing . I was there New Year's Day and no Christmas decorations which I had started to notice that they no longer decorated for holidays. I'm not sure why that stopped but that was part of the charm of the establishment. This time I noticed thay many of my favorite options were gone. I was told that this still could order them but that's kind of a pain do you ask for something special you don't see on the menu. It could have been the day of the week but some of my favorite waiters and waitresses weren't there. All these changes have definitely altered the patrons. Families Union old , groups of ladies that have known each other since high school and men that I spent a lifetime going there weren't present. Lots of hipsters lots of young loud groups of girls . Just a quick review, Yelp did not disappoint with this business' review. The staff was excellent and welcoming and the food was delicious. We ordered the breakfast Panini, cinnamon roll waffle, egg and cheese breakfast sandwich on a croissant and the eggs Benny. The food came out quick, the waitress checked in plenty and also kept my coffee topped off and fresh. The only reason I didn't give five stars was the price. $91 dollars for breakfast, including a 20% tip. With that said I will go again. read more

Well worth the wait! This place never fails. The waiting is reasonable for how busy this place gets. Our waitress was on top of us right away and getting our orders right in but never felt rushed. Came here for brunch on a Sunday morning around 10 am. There was already a few groups waiting by the time we put our names down but only waited about 15-20 before we got seated. Our waitress was very sweet and prompt. My friends ordered the Nutella banana French toast, chocolate chip pancakes, banana pancakes, philly eggs Benedict, side orders of corn beef hash, and I had the black smith eggs Benedict. Pancakes were on the thinner side served with a side of butter and sprinkle of powdered sugar on top. The eggs Benedict were served on very large English muffins and the traditional hollandaise sauce. I liked the black smith Benedict since the tomato was a simple balance for the salty bacon but did not seem to be grilled as described on the menu. The home fries were kept basic with salt as the main seasoning. I believe they were boiled as they were cooked but not every potato had a seared side. The presentation was great and served all at once. Portions are generous especially given the price. Overall great experience and would love to come again. read more

The food was fantastic, but the service was some of the worst I've had. Our server, Hooper, completely ignored us the entire time, save for the two or three words while we ordered. We had to get our drinks from an entirely different person, who actually did take care of us. When we could actually see him on the floor, Hooper was either sweeping up nothing or parroting hustle culture instagram reels at his coworkers. All of this does not represent the restaurant, in my opinion, and certainly not the incredibly skilled and fast back of house crew - as an ex server and ex line cook, thank you all for the meal - but front of house is who set the stage for their excellence, and they need to hold themselves to a higher standard. Food came out quickly but just tasted like reheated food (bacon, corn beef hash and home fries). My husband commented the eggs on his Benedict seemed small. My omelette was okay. The home fries were burned a lot in places but not crunchy at all. Burned and soggy. My husband said the corned beef hash had no flavor. You shouldn't have to salt corned beef. I would try it again. Iron Town has been always our first place to go for breakfast. However, I have noticed some things that I want to suggest to the cooks: The beef marinade - please make it just salt and pepper. That thing of getting stake with a flavor of candy is not good. BBQ or whatsoever is meh. The potatoes. Please peel them and then boil them. The skin makes the texture very rough and unpleasant to the stomach. Sometimes they are cooked very well, and it doesn't feel but it seems that sometimes the people at the kitchen are in a rush and I have had potatoes that are still hard. In relation to a comment, I read in prior to mines and the person that takes the names and puts them in a list. I want to say it nicely because I am planning to continue going but yes... last Saturday I told you that my party wasn't all present and you let me in, but I didn't like that you looked uneasy and grabbed my coffee from Dunkin Donuts without asking permission to grab it. You said that there was something at the door that tells that people cant bring outside beverages but you took my coffee first and you told me after it the policy. I understood the policy and it is not different from other places, but you didn't let me hand my coffee to you. Actually, you snatched it and that is not polite.
