I like to stop in to get some of the pastry snacks. The Coxinha is really good. They also have a baked pastry with chicken and cream cheese, I don't think it's the same thing, but that's my favorite here. Oh, and the cheese rolls. Little balls of bread with a tangy hard cheese, softened after being baked. Absolutely wonderful! Grabbing a breakfast sandwich was what I needed, bacon egg and cheese on a French roll. Simple, basic, and with their fresh-made French rolls, very good. I like stopping in here. It's a Brazilian bakery so the Portuguese tongue is alive and well with not just the people who work here, but customers as well. There's Brazilian products here, and newspapers in Portuguese. The staff are bilingual and very pleasant people. I like coming here. I usually order food to go, but today I stopped and sat down to eat. No coffee today though, had to go home after working the graveyard shift. read more

Caprese sandwich was ok, fresh bread, lettuce and tomato but unfortunately it was not your typical mozzarella caprese- they used shredded mozzarella cheese that looked like it came right out of a bag! read more

This is not my favorite Brazilian bakery. Being a Brazilian I know when it's a good bakery. People who works there are not friendly at all and the food is way to expensive and always cold. You have to go at the right time, other than that you will get cold and old food. Açaí bowls extremely expensive for the size and what they offer. Everett bakery or Somerville cities offer much bigger bowls with a lot more choices. Also they never update their menu. read more

Peabody Bread Co is absolutely fantastic! The restaurant has a very friendly, family-run, authentic vibe and the food is amazing. We got the Super Chicken sandwich, which (no exaggeration) was the best sandwich I've ever had; Very fresh, delicious ingredients. We also got the beef pastel and cheese coxinah which were both yummy comfort foods! Ended the meal with a few small chocolate pastries. I wish I got the specific name of the pastry but I did post a picture of it. 6 of them for $1.83!!! And they were heavenly! Pastry puffs filled with light chocolate mouse and topped with chocolate. The entire menu is extremely reasonably priced. Like unbeatable prices. Not sure why there isn't a line out the door. Definitely give this restaurant a try!!! read more

I was passing through during lunch time, and not being from the area was just looking for a quick meal. I blew right past McDonald's (which was my initial destination) and went to turn around in the next parking lot - which happened to be this bakery. I decided to park and go in - this was one of the best mistakes I have ever made! I got the chicken pastry (sorry, I can't remember the name) for $3. I wish I had gotten 10 of them to take with me. Peabody Bread...Interesting and cool Brazilian bakery...I like to hitting this place up on occasion, again like most of my food reviews, its usually a post surf spot when I'm already hungry... I wish I could speak Portuguese...It would be easier to order...I sometimes feel like when I walk in and start speaking English glass breaks and all heads turn towards me, however that does not stop. Prices are fair, and the Coxinha is very good...My wife and one each and have that with coffee and a little flan. The Flan is excellent as well. There is a ham & cheese triangle empanada that they serve that is pretty good but just a touch salty (my apologies, I don't know the actual name of it...If I feel particularly dehydrated after a warm surf I will pick one up. Beware coming in and out of that parking lot...It's a tight sloping driveway that offers some parking, I have been almost hit more than once and some people do come flying in there. None the less, don't let something that minor stop you. If you look for a Brazilian style bakery or just something a little different then check it out. read more

Awesome Brazilian food with a large pastry section. They were really nice, as I had no idea what anything was. The coxinha was really really filling, had chicken, cheese and sour cream inside - a meal unto itself for $2.50. Small place but really nice and clean. The staff is super friendly and helpful - they fully explain what you're eating if you don't know what some items are. I stop here every time I come to the north shore. Nice little Brazilian bakery in downtown Peabody. Just went there this morning and the place had a steady stream of patrons coming in and out--mostly picking up coffee, breakfast sandwiches, and pastries. I got a ham, egg, and cheese sandwich on their fresh baked Brazilian-style French Roll (Pão Francês Caseiro). I also picked up a Chicken & Cheese Coxinha, which was actually really filling despite looking like a snack. I still need to taste their macaroons and sweet pastries! read more

My husband and I found this place completely by chance while driving around the area. I was extremely excited to have found a Brazilian bakery in the area as I had been looking for one since we moved from Cambridge to the North Shore. In our excitement, we ended up buying a lot of stuff and I am so glad we did because now we know where to go to satisfy our Brazilian snacks cravings: Peabody Bread Co. The place is clean and quiet with a welcoming atmosphere, and the staff is nice and friendly, making you feel very comfortable. I've been going here with my dad, who is half Brazilian, for 9 years since they opened and it is the best local Brazilian/Portuguese bakery in the area. It's a long trek to get to Everett or Chelsea for the bigger Brazilian bakeries so this one is wonderful. The staff is always so nice and speak both Portuguese and English (and I believe Spanish as well). The food is delicious and well priced and they have a wide variety of food in their menu. I've never had an issue with anything here at this bakery and I'll never stop going here! read more

We went to this place after seeing it in Northshore dish. OMG it was awesome. An amazing place. Walking in the staff was so friendly and helpful we knew what almost nothing was and they helped us pick out tasty and amazing things. It is an adorable little cafe type place with so many delicious looking pastries and snacks in the case it is so hard to choose. Tres leches was delicious, moist and not to sweet. Cheese rolls-OMG good these are the best little snack ever. Chicken and cream cheese thing and beef thing- sooooooooo tasty Alfajor type little mini cookies and guava cookies-delicious little one bite snack melts in your mouth. Yuca starch snacks-hard to explain but so tasty. Crunchy little number that melts on your tongue. The best thing to do is just to go here and try a little of everything!!! read more

There was one woman behind the counter who spoke English and she was a huge help. Very patient and told me her favorite cakes. She set me up with two delicious layer cakes I don't know what they were. One had coconut and the other was chocolate. Both really gooey and incredibly tasty. She also asked if I could wait around for a couple extra seconds and gave me a bag which contained three hot, little fried balls of cheesy salty-sweet goodness. Great service. Great food. You can not miss the bakery because there is a Brasilian and Portuguese flag waving around outside the store. The employees are super nice and the food is delicious. The rolls of bread, pão de queijo and fruit drinks are probably the most popular items they sell. It is the best! read more
