Bacon egg and cheese on a French roll
    John O.

I like to stop in to get some of the pastry snacks. The Coxinha is really good. They also have a baked pastry with chicken and cream cheese, I don't think it's the same thing, but that's my favorite here. Oh, and the cheese rolls. Little balls of bread with a tangy hard cheese, softened after being baked. Absolutely wonderful! Grabbing a breakfast sandwich was what I needed, bacon egg and cheese on a French roll. Simple, basic, and with their fresh-made French rolls, very good. I like stopping in here. It's a Brazilian bakery so the Portuguese tongue is alive and well with not just the people who work here, but customers as well. There's Brazilian products here, and newspapers in Portuguese. The staff are bilingual and very pleasant people. I like coming here. I usually order food to go, but today I stopped and sat down to eat. No coffee today though, had to go home after working the graveyard shift.

Super cute Brazilian pastry shop, and helpful staff that's friendly and helpful. Stopped in for a quick bite to eat for coxinha and a fresh fruit smoothie. Has seating available for in the cafe sitting and easy parking lot.

Peabody Bread Co is absolutely fantastic! The restaurant has a very friendly, family-run, authentic vibe and the food is amazing. We got the Super Chicken sandwich, which (no exaggeration) was the best sandwich I've ever had; Very fresh, delicious ingredients. We also got the beef pastel and cheese coxinah which were both yummy comfort foods! Ended the meal with a few small chocolate pastries. I wish I got the specific name of the pastry but I did post a picture of it. 6 of them for $1.83!!! And they were heavenly! Pastry puffs filled with light chocolate mouse and topped with chocolate. The entire menu is extremely reasonably priced. Like unbeatable prices. Not sure why there isn't a line out the door. Definitely give this restaurant a try!!!

Awesome Brazilian food with a large pastry section. They were really nice, as I had no idea what anything was. The coxinha was really really filling, had chicken, cheese and sour cream inside - a meal unto itself for $2.50. Small place but really nice and clean. The staff is super friendly and helpful - they fully explain what you're eating if you don't know what some items are. I stop here every time I come to the north shore. This place makes it totally worth the hour trip.

Slow service, but staff are nice. An interesting new experience if you've never tried Portuguese specialties.

So we made sure to try it out for dinner. We didn't make reservations and you need to. So we sat at the bar. The bartender- Sean was friendly! He made our last dinner night in Salem great. My daughter and I ordered a salad with salmon. We wanted something light and fresh and this hit the spot. The salad was perfectly dressed and salmon perfectly cooked and crispy skin on! I wasn't a fan of the sangria but I'm not a drinker, but he made my daughter a virgin cactus margarita and she loved it. We sat with 2 others at the bar and they were a pleasure to talk to as well. Definitely recommend!! We will be back next year!

It was a stupid burger, stacked 7 inches high with a wooden stake in it to keep the idiot burger from toppling. They do not serve fries here, you get just a sprinkle of potato chips- literally 15 tiny chips. $23, by the way. The burger was cooked well done and the meat had no flavor, the special sauce sucked and the tomato and arugula was sloppy. The patties were regular burgers, not smash burgers. The server told be to smash the entire burger down to make it a smashburger- WTF??? It all fell apart as soon as I took the wooden stick out as I knew it would. I had two bites and that was it. I let the server know I didn't like it and she was personally offended and told me "everyone loves our smash burger." Just bring me the check and leave me alone. Completely ridiculous!!!!! It was clean, so two stars. Find anyplace else to eat and you will do great.

Over the next 20 minutes (without service or even a "come to the bar to order even though you're sitting at a table") we watched as three more couples walked in, met by the bartender (who passed by us to accomplish ) brought to a table, and then served. When the second bartender came out from around the bar, we perked up, only to find them addressing yet another couple that arrived after us. We got zero drinks, we got zero acknowledgment. For a bar that says "all souls welcome", we certainly did not feel it.
