Had another delicious cookie from here last night. I god the Christmas tree cake cookie which was DELICIOUS. It had little Debbie trees balled up in the middle. So good. One thing to note is they only have 3 flavors each week, personally I have been able to enjoy one each time but if you're not as adventurous with flavors make sure to call and check what that weeks flavors are. I was a little disappointed because we decided to get a 12 pack to bring to a gathering the next day and they wouldn't let us choose how many of each kind we wanted, it had to be 4 of each flavor. During our October visit to Salem we discovered Goodnight Fatty and had to try it! We went there after the annual Halloween parade and the streets were still packed with people, music, and costumes! The line was out into the street but it was our last night in town so we were not about to miss out. We got through the line pretty quickly and since we were too far back at first to see the menu, I looked online so we could figure out what to order before we got to the front. I found Goodnight Fatty while researching different places for our trip to Salem. I saw that they were only open on the weekends (at least I thought), but was excited to see that they happened to be open on the Thursday that we were there. We popped in for a quick sweet treat before going to the Salem Witch Museum. I loved the red food truck out front with the skeletons on top that welcomes you inside. The inside was a neon space extravagance that I was obsessed with. The flavors of the day were Addams Fatty, Rice Krispies and Kit Kat. We ordered the Addams Fatty and Kit Kat as well as a Swirl Soft Serve which was Dark Chocolate and Vanilla. Both of the cookies were so soft and sweet, but the real winner was the Soft Serve - the dark chocolate was beyond good. It was rich without being overly sweet. OMG - I am drooling again just thinking about it. Staff were friendly and I enjoyed watching them prepare the cookies while we were waiting for our order. As you as you arrive you notice what looks like an ice cream truck/ can with skeletons inside and outside lol sounds weird but makes this location stand out! The inside is small, but full of energy and good vibes. Although small inside, There are seats outside the restaurant. There are dancing skeletons on the wall of the counter and a giant astronaut on the wall. You will definitely remember how this place looks like. There was a long line but it moved really fast. The staff were very nice and friendly and made you feel welcomed. The inside is small, but There wasn't a big menu, so we only ordered two cookies. The fruity pebbles one was my favorite. Each week is a new "flight"--three surprise flavors.My favorites always included ones with a cream cheese frosting center. I brought my boyfriend here for the first time and the flavors were just okay. I realized over the years the flavors become quite similar but vary in small ways. Depending on what the flights are, really makes it a hit or miss for me. This time it was a churro, kit kat, and key lime pie--not my fav flight... I think taking the shuttle downtown on late nights before class the next morning added to the experience. They bake the cookies to order but only have three mini ovens (which seem to cook about 18 cookies at a time) and in-person orders were also competing with take out orders. I heard one worker say they needed 30 boxes ready by 7pm! We waited about 35 minutes for the cookies, which were delicious but not worth the wait (or the price). This place is one of those that sneaks up on you with how good it is. I went here with a group of friends because the place that we wanted to go was closed unexpectedly. My cousin shared Goodnight Fatty with us and let's just say, I am glad I don't live around the corner because it would be a problem - the cookies are amazing!! Regardless of whether you live in Salem or not, it is worth making your way over for a sweet treat. I unfortunately don't have any pictures because they are too good and we always dig right in, so you'll have to take my word for it. They have fun and unique flavors that they rotate around. They only make three flavors each time and you will find out what they are when you order or show up - you can catch an announcement on their socials too. I don't think you can really get a flavor you don't like, maybe one you wouldn't have thought of or tried otherwise but that is what is kind of cool about it. While it's a unique style, it's actually nice to not have the paradox of too many choices, and you know they are fresh and made for that night. They can get pretty busy so don't be surprised if there is a line, but they do move pretty quickly. I believe they have delivery as an option as well.
