I would not recommend Coasterra Pest Control…read more I used a large corporate pest control company for years with no issues and switched to Coasterra because they represented themselves as a local family-owned business, which I later learned was not true. They also require customers to sign a one-year contract, which I soon learned why after becoming dissatisfied with their service. Their spider treatment simply does not work. I rarely had spider issues in the past, but with Coasterra I was finding numerous spiders just a few weeks after every treatment. I repeatedly had to call and request return visits, which should not be necessary when paying for regular pest control. It was a constant inconvenience to take time off work and keep my dog inside for several hours while waiting for these return treatments. During one visit, technician Rigo entered my backyard without notifying me. My small dog was still outside, and I was very concerned that he could have been exposed to the chemicals being sprayed. On another occasion, I walked the technician around my property and showed him exactly where I was seeing spiders. I then went inside, only to notice that he had left within minutes. There is no way the service was completed thoroughly in that amount of time. At another appointment, technician Mike did not have the proper equipment to reach the higher eaves and remove webs near my roofline, even after I pointed out those problem areas. Because of these ongoing issues and my dissatisfaction with the treatments and results, I attempted to cancel the service just four months into the contract. I was told I would still be responsible for paying for the entire year. As a result, I ended up purchasing my own products to spray for spiders- something I had never needed to do before. Toward the end of the contract, the service became even worse. I was finding spiders within a week of treatments. I scheduled a callback with Christina, took the morning off from work, and no one showed up. When I called, she told me that Matt, the manager, said I would have to pay for the visit even though callbacks were supposed to be included as part of my contract. I was still within my service agreement and felt misled, especially since the callback was only necessary because I continued to find spiders after their treatments. This company does not stand behind its promises, the customer service is unprofessional, and the treatments have been completely ineffective for me. After a full year of service, I still have spiders around my home. I would strongly caution anyone considering signing a yearly contract with this company.

Hired Adams Pest & Termite control on 7/1 to help take care of an indoor ant problem. He quickly identified the issue and had several preventative measures and recommendations as well. We really appreciated that and felt confident choosing them. After the inspection, we scheduled an exterior treatment since it would still help with our bug issue. Before scheduling, we specifically asked multiple times whether we needed to be home, and we were assured that we did not. We provided clear instructions on how to access the back half of our house. Unfortunately, they never showed up--not once, but twice. We had to reach out three separate times, and despite that, no one came or communicated with us. We even kept our dogs locked up all day waiting because we expected the treatment to be done. We're disappointed because the technician made such a great first impression, but the lack of follow-through and communication has been frustrating. Reliability is just as important as good customer service, and unfortunately, that was missing from our experience.

We live by the Fullerton water stations and they sit right behind our home. Any every time they work in the that field the rodents run, this last start of construction lasted a few weeks. So we now have rodents in our home- We have been in this home for over 25 years and only 3 times had an issue with rodents, years apart mind you. This is the first in just over 10 years we have had an issue. I had tried on my own to catch them but finally gave up and called for help. I have NEVER ever been told to cut all the trees down and have nothing near the home at a minimum distance of 16 feet. I have NEVER been told to get rid of all our animals. I have NEVER been told to get rid of our cars- classic cars by the way that are probably worth more than this guy makes in a year. I have NEVER EVER been called Hoarder or even remotely compared to one. Seeing that he upset me, he was quoted to saying, "I don't mean to upset you but I want to be honest and anyone who tells you they can help will just be taking your money." As he proceeded to walk through the house, I explained that the only proof of activity was in our bedroom, the closet and mostly likely the attic. He looked around the house, literally huffing looking at the walls- he pulled the attic ladder down said ya, I see rat poop, I'm not even going to go up there- closed it checked some stuff in the kitchen and bathroom. Then again made a point to say, Ya i can't even get to the walls to see if they have come through the drywall there is so much stuff. I replied telling him that I had already moved everything along the main walls of the room and there was no holes in the wall or the floor. He went outside, looked around said he wasn't going under the house because a brach of a bogadega plant was by the entry and "it would tear him up." I was more than willing to cut the branch but saw no reason to do so when he said he wasn't going under. During the time he was at my home, it was clear to me that he didn't want to be there, nor had any intention of helping or offering a solution other than saying, "well we might be able to do some traps but it's probably going to cost you a $1,000 dollars and around $375 a month for us to keep coming out to remove them and that could be a lot for you. AND we won't warranty it because of all your stuff. The final straw was him telling me, "you're gonna have to live with them. He has no knowledge of our financial situation and what we can and can't afford it wasn't his place to assume. If you need support with rodents, call a place that specializes in them- it would have just been better had he come by and kept driving. As one final side note- he was more than 30 minutes early for the appointment and failed to call me, so when he arrived I had to cut a work meeting. I will be posting this review everywhere I can because your treatment of me was beyond degrading.

He was very knowledgable and the inspection report was very detailed. He was able to resolve 2 issues that came up very quickly. He made sure everything was completed in a timely manner at a reasonable cost. I would highly recommend asking for Dirk if you need an inspection, repair and or fumigation.

I really appreciate his calm kindness and not getting impatient with me as I basically freak out about whatever bugs we are dealing with. And the treatment he uses has been effective over the years - he eradicated a winged ant infestation for us where they were coming out of the electrical sockets, vents, etc. They never came back after multiple rounds with Mario. He is also very knowledgeable and has given us great advice for keeping other bugs at bay. Although this review is long overdue I just wanted to post a note of gratitude for Mario and his team.
