    Burgers and fried pickles
    Alyssa M.

"Constant Companion" and I have driven by Pride Burger 10+ times (aka the number of times we've eaten at Hutchins). At first, we'd joke "Do you just want to go there?" as we pointed at the run-down converted gas station. It was funny to us because it's a 40+ minute drive up to McKinney. However, we decided to go to Pride Burger on Friday with the intention of stopping at Hutchins for a few Texas Twinkies afterwards. The gas station turned restaurant feels like a small town diner. Honestly, it gave me flashbacks of the places my grandma would take me to in her tiny rural town. So, it had some nostalgia working for it from the get-go. CC and I each ordered a burger, and we got an order of fried pickles and a Frito pie to share. That plus two waters was almost 20 bucks, which was pretty pricey for such a divey place. After we ordered, we grabbed a booth and waited. It didn't take too long. The fried pickles we really good! They were a little too salty but great with ranch. The employee even brought us an extra ranch because she noticed that we used a lot of it. The Frito pie was fine. It was my first experience eating a Frito pie, and it seemed to meet the expectations. However, I'd still rather have fries instead. That's nothing against this specific Frito pie though. It's just my personal preference. Now, on to the burgers. Mine was extremely mediocre. I took a few bites and left about half on my plate. This is not a destination for burgers by any means. However, it has character and some nostalgia working for it. I can see why the old ladies and young teens were there. It's probably a nice option to have for locals.

    Large fry empty! Delicious!

It's old school but delicious! Old building but very clean! I always get the number two with cheese, the fries are so good we get an extra basket and share it. Only place I eat the fries. Try it you'll love it !

You have to seat yourself - there were enough vacant tables to pick from. Within a few minutes, our server was over and helped us narrow down on what we wanted to order. I went for a Crushed Velvet Mule in addition to Cali, Buffalo (both grilled versions) and Burg B Q. We told our server that between me and my wife, we will be sharing the chicken sandwich and hence requested that it be sliced into 2. Not only were the burgers sliced, it was served in separate plates with sides as well - that was a really nice touch. Cali was a bit bland, Buffalo and Burg B Q were both really nice. The drink was nice as well. There was live music but we were seated near a table that was pretty boisterous, could hardly hear anything. The outdoor seating overlooking greenery and events they do at the restaurant make the place quite different - we will definitely be back soon to try other options on the menu.

The burger was a typical smash burger, but didn't come with fries, so we ordered some. The fries were crispy and salted. The wings were probably the best part of the meal. The sauce was slightly different from a usual wing sauce, but IMO, was better. It was so good we had to order some more wings. Overall, what we ordered was fine and in case of the wings, quite tasty. Outside of the regular burger, everything seemed pricey for what it was. But this is likely the new normal, unfortunately.

Honestly, the Bucking Berry Goat Cheese Burger was the main reason I came to your restaurant in the first place. It was unique, flavorful, and one of my favorite burgers anywhere. Getting rid of it -- along with the onion rings - completely changed the experience for me. I'm also really frustrated with the new "build your own" burger approach. After getting off work, the last thing I want to do is stand there making a bunch of decisions about toppings and creating my own burger. One of the things I loved about your restaurant was having great burger options already crafted and ready to order. The new menu just feels disappointing compared to what you used to offer, and it honestly makes me sad because this used to be one of my go-to places. Unless the Bucking Berry Goat Cheese Burger comes back, I genuinely don't know if I'll return. I know restaurants evolve, but removing signature items that people specifically come for can really impact loyal customers. Sincerely, A customer who just wanted her favorite burger back and some damn onion rings

I am not usually a dark beer guy but the server talked me into their schwarzbier and I ended up ordering a second one. If you are into porters and stouts they have you covered, and if you lean lighter there is plenty on the board too. The food held its own right alongside the beer. I went with the burger and it hit exactly the way a good pub burger should, juicy with a solid char and fries that actually get finished. My wife ordered the pappardelle on a recommendation from the table next to us and she was not sharing much of it, which tells you everything. We started with the chips and queso and cleared the bowl before the entrees even landed. Great vibe inside, big patio, and the service kept our drinks full the whole time. I'm not a fan of constant interruptions while eating, so that balance was appreciated. The place itself is awesome. Plenty of TVs, a great layout, outdoor patio, and a great bar area. Perfect hangout spot whether you're with family, friends, or just grabbing lunch solo. Prices are reasonable and competitive with similar spots. The downtown McKinney location is ideal and easy walking distance to other shops and restaurants, so no need to keep driving around. Food was great. The burger was juicy and flavorful even well done. The salmon was also well done with crispy edges and a slab of butter that melted right over it great flavor. Hoping that butter option is available for the steak because that's next on my list. Sides were solid too. Only thing I wasn't big on was the fries. They're super thin, so they were crispy but had a slightly hard, borderline stale texture. Just my opinion though. overall still a great experience. Definitely coming back. Burger and salmon were outstanding, customer service was great, and the atmosphere makes it a spot worth checking out with family or friends.

The menu is simple and delicious and the perfect example of knowing exactly what you want to deliver and executing it perfectly. My Overall Rating - 5 Stars (Atmosphere, Service, Food, Return) Atmosphere - Located in Frisco, Dad Jokes Cheesyburger is worth the drive from Dallas County. The restaurant's indoor seating is very small, but the outdoor seating when the weather is nice (March or October) adds to the laid-back vibe that caters to everyone from families to hardcore burger lovers. 1 Star. Service - This is counter service with a smile! The staff will take your order, you get your own drinks, and when your name is called your food is ready. On my visit I got to meet the great Clayton (owner/proprietor/dad joke expert). He was super nice, told me a dad joke, and he is a great follow on Instagram. 1 Star. Food - Dad Jokes Cheesyburger caught my attention because of the OK Burger. This popular burger smashes onions directly into the patty. I made mine a double and was rewarded with a big, juicy, beefy bite with onion flavors that complemented (not over-powered) the bite. I paired with the Smoked Tots. These super crunchy and tasty tots are paired with chili, chives, and smokey BBQ sauce. It's hard to top tots - unless you top it with chili. It was less of a side or more of a hearty side dish - a perfect complement to my OK Burger. 2 Stars. Will I Return? - Yes. I heard about the OK Burger and made the 40-minute drive from Irving-Las Colinas to Frisco. Not only would I repeat the drive, but I would also invite my friends to join me and for some tasty bites and jokes. I hope they don't get EXHAUSTED. 1 Star.
