Classic style burger with a nice crispy bread and plenty of flavorful grease you'd expect from a classic burger joint. This isn't your typical burger joint. The place is inside a nice quite beautiful neighborhood in Rockwall. The smells coming out of the order window will put you in a trance like all the delicious burger flavors just hitting you in the face. No frills spot definitely worth a visit.

Boots Burger is in the middle of a regular neighborhood. The reason they are allowed to sell burgers out of this house is because they have been there so long that they got grandfathered into some old zoning clause. Be prepared to show up early and wait in line (like 15mins early) because people kept showing up when I was there. All the guests seems like locals. As for the burgers, I thought it was ok... a little bit more greasy than what you would usually get at fast food places. Was the taste better than fast food places? Just a tad... CASH ONLY & you cannot eat on the premises.

The burger is fine. It's ok. I'm not sure if it was worth the hassle of the extended lunch break and hour round trip I took from work but it was fine. Simply put it tastes like your grandpas backyard bbq type of burger. And there isn't anything wrong with that. If I had tried this burger five years ago, before the crazy cheeseburger boom of recent years, I probably would have enjoyed it more. But now there's just so many more options around that almost make this experience feel a bit moot. $9 bucks for their double double and it took twenty minutes to make with two people ahead of me in line. I'm glad others enjoyed there's more than I did.

I discovered Boots Burger yesterday while shopping in Rockwall. I wanted to find a local burger spot nearby Boots Burger appeared in my search. After reading a few reviews and checking out their menu, I decided to order a double double which is a double cheese burger. They don't sell fries but they have chips and a soda machine for beverages. According to the reviews you have to arrive early to avoid being sold out. I parked and there was another customer waiting in his vehicle. As soon as they opened, about five more cars pulled up and their phone rung constantly while waiting for my burger. I spoke with four regular customers who also recommended me to get the spicy relish on my burger. Two of the guys live in Allen so they have customers all over Texas. I decided to go back and order a burger for my husband and add relish on the side. The burgers are very good and their prices are affordable. They have been in business since 1968. This place is take out only so arrive early or place your order over the phone. Once they run out of meat, they will close for the day. Owners are very nice and are passionate about making delicious burgers. I'll definitely be back again soon for one of their burgers.

Cash only Take out only No fries but chips offered and a drink machine. American cheese only Limited hours of operation Two old dudes who were super friendly and hospitable took my order and made my burger in less than 5 mins, "otherwise it's an hour wait". Really simple offerings- single or double meat; cheese (American only) or not; Jalapeño relish; and lettuce, tomato, pickle , onion, and mayo/mustard. The bun was toasted, the burger was well done (not my preference) on a flat top. I didn't taste any significant seasoning but it was fresh, hot , and pretty good for less than $8 for a double that wasn't laden w/salt like a fast food burger. There is a quirky unique coziness to this place, as it's in a residential neighborhood in a shed-like structure in the back of a house. on a corner lot. People wait in their cars or take a seat at a picnic table while their food is prepared. There is no eating on site. Love the concept!

No dining allowed at Boots Burger! Take your Booty to nearby Lofland Park picnic tables (no restroom)

My mom and I have visited Dudley's a couple of times since I left my original review, and I can honestly say we've noticed a big difference. The wait staff has been much more attentive, welcoming, and engaged. The atmosphere feels much more like the Dudley's we fell in love with. One of the things I mentioned before was wanting everyone to feel equally welcomed, and I'm happy to say our recent visits have reflected that. We truly appreciate the effort because it made our experience so much more enjoyable. Thank you for listening to your customers and continuing to make Dudley's a place where people enjoy coming to relax, have a glass of wine, and spend time together. We'll definitely be back!

The parking lot was like what I remembered but inside was a different layout so I am not sure if it was the same spot. Anyway, prices were very reasonable! When the food came out, we could immediately see it passed the eye test--cheese drizzling, real meat, grilled bun. First bite was excellent--I could taste the grilled bun, the flavor of the burger and even the crisped grilled parts of the meat. All other bites, just the same. Had me audibly saying "yum". On top of that, they offered horchata to drink and it was delicious. The fries weren't only well seasoned but they also had an usual kick of heat. I wish more places would use these, but perhaps I'm in the minority and people prefer the sterile coldness of cool white LEDs. Also, the food tastes pretty good. Sure, it's full of all the ingredients the other fast-food places use, like all the preservatives, seed oils, and other flavor enhancers, but it tastes pretty good. The problem for me, though, and it's a big one I've noticed at other places as well: the food tastes like artificial fragrance. At least the bun on the burger did. So it makes me think they are storing the buns in an area with fragrance (air freshener of some sort), or the plastic container the buns are stored in was stored in a room with an air freshener. It's pretty nasty to bite into a burger and taste a chemically crafted bouquet of flowers. I managed to remove the outer layer of both buns, and that got rid of the fragrance and made the burger edible. So, my suggestion for Culver's, and any food business, is to get rid of the stinking artificial fragrance. It's nasty, it's toxic, it tastes terrible, and it sticks to everything, especially plastic and anything that plastic touches. The sad part is, most people live their lives surrounded by fragrance, they can't even taste it when it's in and on their food.

I refused because I just needed to jiggle it with my fork and knife to see that it was underdone. They took it back and it came back half medium and half slightly over medium well. What's killing me is that I was told that they had checked it the second time and I could see several cuts on the steak (that's crazy that the chef/cook had to figure out doneness that way). But one of the openings in the steak was clearly medium, which he later affirmed. So, I'm not sure what they checked before! The non-bloody parts of the steak did taste good, though. So, if you don't care about doneness, go for it. Also, they had weird plating on the steak. Go for the board or go for plates but this awkward plates on a cutting board means you delicately try to not knock anything off. Pro tip: scrape it all onto the board The calamari was tasty except the plate was half fried zucchini. Slick move to get $16 out of me for a tempura plate. Otherwise, service was pretty slow although the restaurant was maybe 1/4 occupied. I had my doubts since the spot a couple doors down had a one-hour wait. Should've trusted my gut.
