Boots Burger is in the middle of a regular neighborhood. The reason they are allowed to sell burgers out of this house is because they have been there so long that they got grandfathered into some old zoning clause. Be prepared to show up early and wait in line (like 15mins early) because people kept showing up when I was there. All the guests seems like locals. As for the burgers, I thought it was ok... a little bit more greasy than what you would usually get at fast food places. Was the taste better than fast food places? Just a tad... CASH ONLY & you cannot eat on the premises.

The burger is fine. It's ok. I'm not sure if it was worth the hassle of the extended lunch break and hour round trip I took from work but it was fine. Simply put it tastes like your grandpas backyard bbq type of burger. And there isn't anything wrong with that. If I had tried this burger five years ago, before the crazy cheeseburger boom of recent years, I probably would have enjoyed it more. But now there's just so many more options around that almost make this experience feel a bit moot. $9 bucks for their double double and it took twenty minutes to make with two people ahead of me in line. I'm glad others enjoyed there's more than I did.

I discovered Boots Burger yesterday while shopping in Rockwall. I wanted to find a local burger spot nearby Boots Burger appeared in my search. After reading a few reviews and checking out their menu, I decided to order a double double which is a double cheese burger. They don't sell fries but they have chips and a soda machine for beverages. According to the reviews you have to arrive early to avoid being sold out. I parked and there was another customer waiting in his vehicle. As soon as they opened, about five more cars pulled up and their phone rung constantly while waiting for my burger. I spoke with four regular customers who also recommended me to get the spicy relish on my burger. Two of the guys live in Allen so they have customers all over Texas. I decided to go back and order a burger for my husband and add relish on the side. The burgers are very good and their prices are affordable. They have been in business since 1968. This place is take out only so arrive early or place your order over the phone. Once they run out of meat, they will close for the day. Owners are very nice and are passionate about making delicious burgers. I'll definitely be back again soon for one of their burgers.

Cash only Take out only No fries but chips offered and a drink machine. American cheese only Limited hours of operation Two old dudes who were super friendly and hospitable took my order and made my burger in less than 5 mins, "otherwise it's an hour wait". Really simple offerings- single or double meat; cheese (American only) or not; Jalapeño relish; and lettuce, tomato, pickle , onion, and mayo/mustard. The bun was toasted, the burger was well done (not my preference) on a flat top. I didn't taste any significant seasoning but it was fresh, hot , and pretty good for less than $8 for a double that wasn't laden w/salt like a fast food burger. There is a quirky unique coziness to this place, as it's in a residential neighborhood in a shed-like structure in the back of a house. on a corner lot. People wait in their cars or take a seat at a picnic table while their food is prepared. There is no eating on site. Love the concept!

No dining allowed at Boots Burger! Take your Booty to nearby Lofland Park picnic tables (no restroom)

Not worth the wait. 30 mins+ for a bland, overcooked burger? No fries. No fountain sodas. Nothing special

The build-your-own burger I made (blt, mayo, and added avocado spread) was FANTASTIC!! The fries were a hit. Sweet potato and plain were both the most amazing addition to their burgers. Loved the spicy and regular ranch! Okay now to the margarita. Strong and tasted pretty good. My husband enjoyed the beer options (purple haze and dark matter). My only beef with the harbor is the parking. I don't feel the infrastructure here is set up for this much volume of stores and customers. Of course this isn't the restaurants' fault.

What makes the Rockwall spot stand out is its incredible outdoor patio, complete with swinging tables and chairs and a beautiful view of the lake. It's one of the best patios around. The burgers themselves are wonderfully creative, often featuring unexpected ingredients--like strawberry compote. On a burger? Absolutely. And it works. I can be a pretty picky eater, but at Rodeo Goat I've learned to trust the menu. Order it the way the chef intended, and you'll be glad you did. You can't go wrong with any Rodeo Goat, but the Rockwall location is especially worth the visit for the views and the outstanding burgers. You won't be disappointed.

I have only one thing to say about Dudley's bar and grill, excellent people, excellent service,…read morethese people went out of their way even though, I wasn't even their customer. I fell in the parking lot, wasn't even their responsibility. It wasn't their fault, but their staff, was more than helpful, made me feel like what's in the right place. Next thing they did, was to comfort me, and give me medical treatment. I mean it was only a few scratches. My forearm was bleeding. Of course. I was bleeding all over the parking lot. But they didn't care, they took care of me when I need them. They opened their bathroom, and they gave me sufficient medical care to get home. I've never been in Dudley's bar before. But I give them a AAA reading on there staff, and need to be helpful. It seemed like a bunch of off duty. Paramedics took care me. I very much appreciate their time and their care.

However, this being our 4th time visiting Dudley's, I was surprised to notice that the "locals" seem to get the attention of the bar staff. I understand that they are probably all fast friend and buddies but, we're paying customers as well. It was difficult to get someone to take our food order, another beer, water refill, etc. All of the action this Sunday was clearly with the regulars. Not the best experience at one of our favorite brunch spots. We don't need much and pretty much want to be left to enjoy the atmosphere, however we do need some service when we're empty.

Saturday night dinner at Belle Vie Bistro was very nice! I honestly would give it about 4.5 stars,…read morenot a 5, as that implies perfection. But they are definitely making the effort to deserve respect. First, we were seated promptly and our server was very responsive, so much so that we hadn't even had a moment to peruse the wine menu before she arrived. I would recommend that the servers be trained to bring water and the bread and butter without asking in order to offer the guests a chance to settle in for a moment. (Fresh french bread and good butter, by the way. I don't usually indulge in that, but I had 2 slices.) And if a guest asks to sample a wine, the answer is always "Yes." They are going to order wine, they just don't know if it will be that one. Both my wife and I started with side salads, which were great. Very fresh greens, and dressings that were obviously made in-house and delicious (awesome lemon vinaigrette on the bistro salad and a truly great Caesar dressing.) I should mention that their wine selection is made up of good labels you probably drink regularly, with a few neat additions that are worth a try. My wife ordered the grilled salmon cooked to her preference, and it was served that way. She really liked the lemon sauce with which it was served, along with risotto and al dente veggies including squash, zucchini and carrots (well seasoned.) I had the duck confit, and it too, was very good. Mashed potatoes made in house (again, well seasoned) with the same grilled vegetables. I appreciate many things about this restaurant. Frankly, I don't understand why it wasn't packed. The lighting is nice, the music is just perceptible so as not to be intrusive. The service is very attentive, and the food is really good. The price point is reasonable. The most expensive meal on the menu is about $35, but they offer plenty of great options for less. Having written a brunch review for this restaurant before on Google, I noticed that they take the input from their clients seriously, and I appreciate that. This is a place that is putting in the work, and it shows. I forgot to mention that they have a barista on staff even in the evenings, and pastries that are made by an actual French pastry chef (I indulged in the Croissant Aux Aumandes on our previous visit, and it is absolutely legit.) Parking on the square in Rockwall can be an issue, and Belle Vie is in the middle of the block, so maybe it is somewhat overlooked, but it is definitely worth a visit. I'll be going back pretty soon for the lamb at dinner time. I also want to try their French onion soup and French dip. You should go. You won't be disappointed.

Don't get the steak if you care how it's cooked…read more I ordered medium well, it came out medium rare. The waiter asked if I would cut into it to check other parts. I refused because I just needed to jiggle it with my fork and knife to see that it was underdone. They took it back and it came back half medium and half slightly over medium well. What's killing me is that I was told that they had checked it the second time and I could see several cuts on the steak (that's crazy that the chef/cook had to figure out doneness that way). But one of the openings in the steak was clearly medium, which he later affirmed. So, I'm not sure what they checked before! The non-bloody parts of the steak did taste good, though. So, if you don't care about doneness, go for it. Also, they had weird plating on the steak. Go for the board or go for plates but this awkward plates on a cutting board means you delicately try to not knock anything off. Pro tip: scrape it all onto the board The calamari was tasty except the plate was half fried zucchini. Slick move to get $16 out of me for a tempura plate. Otherwise, service was pretty slow although the restaurant was maybe 1/4 occupied. I had my doubts since the spot a couple doors down had a one-hour wait. Should've trusted my gut.

Lots of parking available and walking up to the front door you get a very lush/green, west coast vibe. The building is modern with tons of indoor and outdoor seating space. The glass walls looking into the brewery, the ceiling wood pattern to depict the lighthouse on the lakefront and the local, artist made, characters for each beer are just a few of the details that stood out to me at this business. With so much space it was a bummer to see it dead on a Tuesday afternoon but I saw that they have weekly events to enjoy, Tuesday is trivia night! The guy behind the bar and owner, Cory, was a very laid back and friendly fella. We chatted about how he got the place started, the roadblocks of running a brewery vs a winery or a brew pub. He gave me good food and drink recs for other local places on the square. He also created the menu. The sunset tacos and fries were delicious! I tried the blonde ale and also got a Flight; blonde, Mexican lager, lager, ipa, hazy pale ale. I was also able to taste the in house made seltzers. I had the blue/lemonade and Hawaiian seltzers. Overall, I had a great dining experience and made a new friend in Texas. I highly recommend this small business.
