I went to Rockwall TX for a work trip and wanted lunch during my time in between hotels. I saw this brewery on my maps and decided to give it a try! Lots of parking available and walking up to the front door you get a very lush/green, west coast vibe. The building is modern with tons of indoor and outdoor seating space. The glass walls looking into the brewery, the ceiling wood pattern to depict the lighthouse on the lakefront and the local, artist made, characters for each beer are just a few of the details that stood out to me at this business. With so much space it was a bummer to see it dead on a Tuesday afternoon but I saw that they have weekly events to enjoy, Tuesday is trivia night! The guy behind the bar and owner, Cory, was a very laid back and friendly fella. We chatted about how he got the place started, the roadblocks of running a brewery vs a winery or a brew pub. He gave me good food and drink recs for other local places on the square. He also created the menu. The sunset tacos and fries were delicious! I tried the blonde ale and also got a Flight; blonde, Mexican lager, lager, ipa, hazy pale ale. I was also able to taste the in house made seltzers. I had the blue/lemonade and Hawaiian seltzers. Overall, I had a great dining experience and made a new friend in Texas. I highly recommend this small business. Supporting local gives businesses more opportunities to provide additional options to customers. You could absolutely do a date night, girls night or have a birthday party here. read more

Beautiful magnolia lined terraces, another outdoor patio, inside-very clean-you can see/tour the brewery. Stage for live music Seating Huge bar, large high top tables fro groups, outdoor terrace couches, inside couches, patio with high tops. Menu 25 beers on tap(no IPA on this visit), cocktails, wine ( no cabernet on this visit). The Sauvignon blanc was so good I wanted a growler to take home but they do not have that-just whats in the to-go fridge, which had a limited selection. The steak salad was great-lots of steak and sliced grape tomatoes, not much arugula but tasty. Summary Amazing brewery! Headed in for a late lunch today. There is plenty of seating indoor and outside with room for kids to hang out as well. Outside there's some corn hole and a grassy area some kids were playing. For a Saturday afternoon I was surprised there wasn't true wait staff, we were told to order at the bar. This could have just been due to the time we arrived and may have been between shifts. They delivered the drinks to us outside and while doing so they took our food order. Drinks were tasty with no complaints from the group. They have a couple of unique beers our group tried and enjoyed. The menu looked good and had a variety of options. It was difficult to choose. Food didn't take long to come out and portions were good sized. Everything was tasty. I would like to try some other options in the future. The menu is a little pricy for a brewery in my opinion but it was pretty good. Had a couple wonky things with what we ordered. The bread for the pesto best I didn't seem to be jalapeno cheddar as it stated on the menu and the fries for the fish and chips said they would be Parmesan herb or something like that so I didn't upgrade to the Parmesan truffle for either plate but both fries came out as a basic seasoned fry instead. Still good but wasn't what was on the menu so a little disappointing. Hopefully they can update the menu so you either get what you're expecting or they can just be sure to plate what the menu lists in the future. read more

Atmosphere: super loud and crowded on a Friday evening at 6pm. We were still able to find seating (for 2) easily, and had multiple options to choose from. I appreciate the sign right when you walk in telling you the lay of the land! Order at the counter. Food: steak frites and chicken tenders were both excellent. Would def order again. Drinks: the beers. There's a lot of them. The nice bartender helped me choose something similar to blue moon (the divine monk) which was great. Glad I got to check out this brewery! It was spacious and chill. Surprisingly, for a brewery, their food was good. My favorite item was the pretzel bites. I really enjoyed their beers too... light and not heavy. The night we came there was live music - couple of different guitar players. It was a nice addition to a relaxing night out. My only minor complaint was the temperature inside. Felt like there AC wasn't running completely so it did feel pretty warm. We had to fan ourselves, but bearable. Came here on a September Saturday afternoon around 4 pm and this place was PACKED. Did not realize there was an Oktoberfest celebration going on. They have a parking lot, but it was pretty tiny and the spots were smaller than normal. The menu itself had Oktoberfest/German themed items. You order at the bar and they will give you a little plaque with a number on it. The servers will bring the food out to you. I ordered the steak frites (truffle fries). It was super garlicky and the ribeye was cooked just right (medium rare) for me personally. Overall, a good time! read more

The staff were attentive and friendly, and tended to our large group with the attention you'd expect from for a two-top. The menu of draft beer had great variety for every taste palate. They also offer cocktails, but our group find them on the sweeter side, so keep that in mind when ordering. We ordered the pretzel bites with cheese (soft and pillowy; varying salt coverage), fried mushrooms (fried whole which made it overly "wet"...not a fan), and the B.L.A.T sandwich (bread was a little too greasy for my preference, but it was perfectly toasted). While the food wasn't amazing, it was decent for the area's offerings and the fact that they specialize in beer, not food. Would recommend for the service, atmosphere, and beer! read more

We were super excited to try this place and decided to use our day off as a chance to try a brewery a little further out. When we arrived the bartender welcomed us and handed us menus said to order at the counter when we were ready. My boyfriend picked out 4 beers for a flight and I was so excited to try their sour. Which was the whole reason for us coming. He goes to the bar where the same bartender notifies him they are out of 25% of their beers. This certainly should've been said when he greeted us as we walked in. I get it a keg empties you can't have everything in stock but 25% warrants at least a mention upon walking in. We were excited to try the food too but since we were no longer going to stay very long we decided to go somewhere else. I got the blue Hawaiian splash seltzer which was completely flat but did have good flavor. My boyfriend didn't love any of the beers in his flight. Neat little brewery. I'm a big fan of local craft beers. It's a great spot for lunch time and beer. They've got great crafted beer and food. You have to order from the bar area but can sit anywhere. They have two front and back patios that you can sit outside, with some games that you can play (corn hole, etc.). Service was good. Nothing special but wasn't bad by any means. Stopped by for happy hour on a Monday around 5pm. Completely dead. Very large interior and exterior space for seating. That made it feel extra empty. There were 2 very young bartenders who were non stop flirting with each other behind the bar. I felt like a chaperone as if I was imposing on their time together. Beer was good and I'm sure when they're busy it has a better energy and environment but this didn't do it for me. One and done for me unfortunately. read more

I told our server it was our first time in - give me a flight that shows me your beer selection. She did not disappoint! 6 amazing beers including a stout that comes in at 10%. A couple of really great IPAs too. Our server knew all about the beers they brew as well as the food on the menu. Always a plus! The taproom has a great feel to it, it was packed the day we were there but the servers did a great job keeping glasses filled. The space is comfortable and the AC was doing its thing! The outdoor area looked great but the heat was keeping everyone inside. I had the Eva of Destruction burger, delish, my wife went for the Monte Cristo, she said it too was amazing. Great place for a beer and a bite on a Friday night...plus where else are you going to go around here? This place is very well done...outdoor seating,.tons of bar seating, indoor seating at tables... The outside has corn hole and couches as well. The indoor is well thought out, with exposed wood ceilings, windows to see the brewery tanks, and even private rooms for events. It's a beautiful building inside and out. The food was also phenomenal, although we just got appetizers. The beer was average, in my opinion. But average beer is like average pizza, it's delicious. Updated Review: went this week to meet a friend and have a beer and conversation. We also ended up eating as well. I stand by my 5 star rating as this is a great local spot for a good beer, good food, catch a game or engage in activities like karaoke or music bingo. I truly don't understand the low ratings here. I have probably been here 5-7 times and the staff has always been friendly, helpful and nice. The beer is good and the prices are not excessively high. Usually if you go to the bar they take your order quick and then deliver food and drinks to you. I have had staff come by but it really isn't an inconvenience to go to the bar and order. They are not a sit down restaurant where you should expect full service. If that is a problem for you, a brewery isn't your scene. My only wish would be that they stay open later as 10pm is pretty early on weekends. That being said, When I caught a Ranger Game during the Championship run, they allowed us and the other table watching the game to watch until the end and were really cool about it. Good food, beer and cool staff is not a 3 star experience. Sorry, rant over. Support this cool local spot if you want to grab a good beer. read more

Was passing by, and I figured I'd stop to check this place out. I had a sour apple beer and a chicken pesto sandwich. As far as brewery food goes, the sandwich was very delicious! The beer was ok, but it was served in a cute little glass. I didn't check the prices, but for two small beers and a sandwich, I paid $40. My daughter and I went Brewery hopping and we saw the high rating, so it was at the top of the list. I ordered a West Coast IPA and my daughter ordered the Hazy IPA. My beer was an amber color, which is not a character of a west coast. I thought maybe it was going to a little malty, like an east coast. The flavor was just straight up bitter! No citrus, no pine, just harsh. My daughters hazy was hazy but tasted nothing like an IPA. It had banana and clove flavors of a belgian. The place is beautiful, comfortable, and spacious. Ended up having to park at the strip mall next door. It's good for hanging out but it can be super loud during busy times and it's hard to hear others talk if you're in a large group. Came in for dinner and drinks received crappy service from our waiter, he was barely around we had to get his attention every time we needed something. The food took forever to come out. When it was time to pay we gave him cash he told us oh we don't take cash do you have something else my husband told him no I don't and asked where does it say that you take cash only he had a shitty attitude towards him and said on the website and walked away. After not receiving good service from him and a crappy attitude when it came time to pay we were very turned off and probably would never come back. He definitely got more of a tip than what he deserved as we left him more cash than needed to cover the bill. Also no where on your website or FB page even does it say cash only, that should be posted on a door at the physical establishment if that is the case. read more

My husband and I came here for our first time and was impressed with how well the overall operation of this establishment is going. I really appreciate all of the different kinds of seating to choose from, it makes it a lot easier to loose track of time cause I'm not itching to get out of my chair. (Like I'm usually am at a lot of places) The staff was respectful and quick to get everything that we asked for. It makes me feel good when I find places like this that when your making a order the person taking it actually takes in what your saying. This is a great addition to downtown Rockwall. We've visited Siren Rock a handful of times at this point. Their space is beautifully done, the beers are solid, the staff is friendly, and the food menu has a lot of nice options, several healthy dishes if you're trying to watch what you eat. The one thing to note is that there isn't table service, not even for ordering food. Everything needs to be done through the bar, which is fine, just worth noting. We went for a family gathering and sat outside, and we were able to accommodate about 15 people, so that was nice. read more

I am done going though, second time in a month going to their brewery where they are literally out of beer. Unheard of. You go to the source thinking they'd have everything like they would at Tupps, Manhattan, etc., not at Siren. Only 3 beers on tap and arguably their worst beers. Seems to be the norm where you show up and they are beerless. Will not be returning unfortunately and would recommend the same for others unless you are just interested in overpriced food. read more

The physical plant is very nice, the service was very good, the food was ok and the music sucked. It sounds like the same stupid song played the whole time, just changing the lyrics which got very vulgar at times. The fish tacos were lacking in flavor and the fish & chips were acceptable.
