Had this company for 5 years. Asked the tech to remove spider webs from entry way ceiling and you'd thought I asked him to paint my house! He grumbled & complained the whole 2 minutes it took. Then he stopped service. Tried calling, but the number (on my statement) doesn't work, says no longer in service. Tried emailing the account manager...6 weeks, still no response. I had this service for the past 9 months and they were supposed to treat ants and spiders and de- web the exterior. Every time they came, I was not home and it didnt look like anything was de-webbed and we continued to have spiders and ants inside and out. I switched to Preventive Pest Control after having been with a different pest control company for a year. John Mejia came to our home for the initial service wearing a mask (bonus points) and explained the procedure. He helped us plan and advised to start off by spraying the interior and then move outside. I had been hoping for a product that allowed us to remain inside after the home was serviced. The smell was not at all bad and within 15 min the product was dry. John also explained how the mosquito trap we ordered worked and helped us identify a place to keep it so that it would last longer. Two days later and I have already started seeing the results for some of the pests. We have encountered a number of dead spiders around our house (better than finding them in our kids room!). Looking forward to having John return to help us with an Indian meal moth issue we have been having in our kitchen. read more

We used Preventive for our spider and ant problems and I had a great experience. Office people were nice and friendly. The tech they sent, Elliott Russell, was great. He explained what he was going to be doing and he was thorough with his job. When he was done, he made sure to let me know he was done and didn't just leave. He even made sure if I had any questions or anything like that. When he dealt with the ants, he explained to me what to do when I see more ants and was told to just leave them and not kill them. I waffled back and forth between 4 stars and 5. We've been customers for nearing 3 years now. We get the every other month service. And, for the most part....we are pretty satisfied. My last service is what is prompting this review. The tech. that came out, Brian, was super great. He was just really nice. We have an ongoing war with ants (we live practically on the river bed, so ants will forever be an issue for us) and when I told Brian he was on it. Put down a special chemical and told me all about it. Something I dont think has been done before (but maybe?). He gave me a handful of ant traps without my having to ask him for some. He spent a great amount of time cleaning my patio cover and fence of cob webs. And when he realized he missed some he went back to the truck and came back to clean the rest off. That was something that needed to be done--my last few services that has been lacking. Now, why onto 4 stars. I do feel like lately the service has been lacking. (Some) Guys are in and out in just minutes. Like I said, we do have an ongoing ant issues. So it's pertinent that we get adequate service otherwise I have ants crawling through my light fixtures (ew, I know!). And with my previous service call I didn't feel like it was enough. It was sort of a half-assed effort. They didn't spray the entire perimeter of my property, didn't clean off cob webs, etc... I did have to have them come back out (no extra charge for re-calls) which is semi-inconvenient because sometimes it can take several days for them to come out. But it is nice that they do come out free of charge to re-spray if needed. The price is great. I've never had any MAJOR issues that would ever make me go with another company. I'm pretty sure his visit today was routine and like any other pest visit. what makes it greater is the customer service attitude in how he does the ordinary routine. What a great person! I have to say Marcos has superior customer service skills! He listened to our issue completely and then went about solving our Tick problem with expertise. Preventive Pest Control has been servicing my house in Rancho Santa Margarita for the past 3 years. Every technician that we have had (usually Colby and Brian) have been extremely detail-oriented and professional. They de-web around our entire house and even check around and under our kid's toys in the backyard to search for black widows. In the past 3 years we have only had one ant problem (they were coming through the kitchen window because I had pots of herbs on the windowsill.) Huge thanks to Preventative and the manager "Stew." My husband has been with them for over 20 years and they have always responded quickly and done everything asked. We recently had an issue in the bedroom after vacation at an upscale resort in vegas. We immediately called Stew and they responded the next day and completed a full and thorough treatment on an issue that could easily get out of hand. He was responsive, informative and came to inspect the area himself with another technician. He provided good advice on things we could do until the follow up treatment. Zach Crane provided an excellent customer service for 2 consecutive times now when came to our house. He made sure all spider webs are sprayed on in our front and back yards and was very thorough in putting the insecticides inside the house as well. Had the Preventive Pest Control for 2 years. Be very careful when you sign up for their service ! $76 charge every other month plus you are obligated to purchase 7 of the sprays. I had 6 and called to cancel and they charge you a cancellation fee of 60% of the remaining or $43. They simply spray around the perimeter of the house. Go to home depot / lowes and you can purchase the bug / insect spray that does the same job and it takes 5 minutes. read more

I've been with PPC almost a year now, and am satisfied with their service. At first, I was a bit unimpressed with their techs. The first one that came to my house after the initial inspection and treatment, decided to park in my driveway because there weren't any cars in it!! There is plenty of street parking directly in front of my house. He had no idea I was home though and was a bit choked up when I came out the back door to greet him. After that though, the techs have progressively gotten better! In fact, my most recent tech, James W., has been the best yet. He was the most thorough, informative, and caring tech yet! I'll definitely request him in the future! As for the pests, I have way less now, and I can use my patio furniture without wiping them down before I have guest sit in them! What you need to understand about a pest control company, is that the majority of their service is based on preventing the reoccurrence of pest, not the complete annihilation of them! You have neighbors yards and winds that all contribute to your pest problem, so don't expect to not see a single spider or ant just because you have a pest control service, just so long as you're seeing a significant decrease in pest, you know it's working! read more

I love this company! From the girl that answers the phone, the tech that comes to the house, to the expert that comes out for bigger problems......they are all so nice and helpful! The customer service this company offers is fantastic!!! Yesterday, we found out we had cockroaches in our vacation rental property. I called desperate for help, because we had new renters coming in for their vacation (the next day) and the last thing we wanted was for them to show up to a vacation house with cockroaches! I explained my circumstances and considering my problem, they fit me in, treated the problem (that ended up being bigger than we thought) and.......the icing on the cake.......the tech (Rico) was SO nice and helpful! If you want a company that will TEAM with you, this is it! I just felt like we were working together for the same result. Rico was so helpful in getting things ready for the treatment and dealing with my squeamish behavior. The manager, Jesse, was super awesome on the follow up!!! He totally helped us for days after and acted like our problem was his problem and he was going to help get us through this and he did! On top of all this, my carpet company (Surfside Carpet) was just as helpful in rescheduling me in their booked day so we could deal with the bugs first. You know people......I try to be a cooperative and a good customer and today it paid off!
