They've always been reliable, professional, and incredibly responsive. If I text with a question, they text back. There was one time I was accidentally charged, and they refunded it immediately without any hassle. The owner has always been kind and easy to work with, and every technician we've had has been respectful and professional. One thing that really stood out to me recently was when we got a new puppy. A technician accidentally left our gate open, but instead of ignoring it, he personally texted me to apologize and took full responsibility. That kind of accountability says a lot about the people they hire and the culture they've built. As for the actual pest control--they do a great job. We rarely see spiders or bugs throughout the year. When summer rolls around and the ants start showing up, they come out and handle it quickly. If the ants get especially bad, they'll even come back for an extra service. Honestly, our biggest ant problem comes from neighboring properties, so that's not something any company can completely control, but they do everything they can to keep it under control. I get pest control companies knocking on my door all the time trying to earn my business, and I never even consider switching. James was available within just 24 hrs and came within the stated time window and discovered three trails and colonies in our backyard. I contacted James Carter at Eary Termite & Pest Control. He was able to come to my house that very afternoon. After some discussion of timing of the ongoing repair and painting and having the house fumigated, we decided that Eary Termite would come the following week to perform the fumigation. James sent me a contract that evening and we scheduled to proceed. There was some tight spaces that they were able to work around. They were able to tuck the tarps in between the house and some of the close landscaping and saved the plants. A very few plants were damaged which was of no surprise given their proximity to the house. They coordinated with the Gas Co. to turn off the gas and tented on a Friday. They returned Monday morning and had the tent down before noon and coordinated for the Gas Co. to return and turn the gas back on. They were very conscientious of the landscaping and the house and cleaned up well after their completion. I would highly recommend Eary Termite & Pest Control.

I have free ranging chickens so a heads up is helpful so that I can be sure to keep them in their pen for the day so as not to ingest anything. The guy told me to just keep them in their pen for the first 24 hours after spraying and I've never had a problem with my animals. I had a wasp issue and called. They came out the next day and took care of it at no additional cost. When I signed up I was told no contract. And that was what I was specifically trying to avoid so I made the sales rep tell me more than once that there was no contract. Just paying for the services that are scheduled throughout the year. Although I never double checked to see if I am in a contract in spite of what I was told. So after reading these reviews I will double check. But for me, so far so good.

I was met with rude, unprofessional, aggressive and highly inappropriate behavior as he proceeded to grill me: "Who granted power of attorney?" "She doesn't have any family?" "How long has she been out of the home?" "So whose cars are in the driveway?" Eventually, he accused me of fraud and demanded I give him the number to her memory care facility. He would not listen to reason, would not accept any of the legal documents as proof, wouldn't even speak to me about the account anymore. When I asked to speak to his supervisor I was told that he was the supervisor and that I would simply be re-routed to him again, so good luck calling back. Luckily, Aptive also employs people like San who are reasonable, empathetic and willing to listen. When I called Myles' bluff and called back, San took my call, calmly heard my situation, verified that we were well beyond the expired contract, and cancelled the account without any hassle whatsoever. She even made sure to send written confirmation. I could not have had a more drastically different interaction. The actual service itself is fine. It's pretty obvious that the system is designed to lull you into automatic rescheduling and payment, while the fee for each service/treatment climbs. It can also be hard to reschedule service as the dates provided online are often limited. There is also no ability to cancel service without talking to someone directly. That said, I've only had pleasant interactions with the service people when they're on-site. They were always polite and had great communication, touching base on arrival times and treatment areas. How effective the actual treatment for pest control was is hard to say. But my experience with Myles is enough to advise everyone against signing up with this company. I know firsthand that caring for the elderly isn't easy. Maybe Myles was triggered by events in his own life. But whatever the reason, that's no excuse for the behavior I experienced.
