The best banana crème brûlée French toast in Marin County. Service was prompt and our food came out quick. The Brussel sprouts were so delicious! And the ambiance was modern and trendy.

From the street, Pretti Platters is in what appears to be a refurbished fast food restaurant from the 60s or 70s painted a cheerful shade of blue. Inside, it's been transformed with neon signs, hardwood floors, and cozy booths that feel straight outta Instagram. The brunch menu is solid. My Japanese eggs on sourdough came with a satisfyingly thick slab of pork belly bacon and a fresh arugula and kumquat salad. My husband's Golden Market Omelette with hen of the woods mushrooms and spring peas was paired with breakfast potatoes and an arugula and strawberry salad. The staff were friendly and service oriented. Pricing is fair for the area, although espresso drink add ons can add up (an extra $1.50 more, for flavored syrup and $1.50 additional for any alternative milk.) Open daily from 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. everyday, which is a lot of days! It's worth a visit for brunch.

Parking was easy with plenty of open spaces. The restaurant is super cute, quiet vibes and more on the intimate side. We were greeted and sat quickly. The menu has a lot of options for drinks and food. The strawberry latte has a unique taste that you need to try. Our dishes came out quick, plated well and tasted delicious. Pretti Platters did not disappoint.

If you love how brunch style food is served. You keep coming back . since they opened few months back. You see us almost every weekend. It got to be great food choice . A must suggestion . The Brussels Sprouts!!! You can never go wrong with it . The bacon Japanese scramble for us as appetizers as we share .. main course . The Pork Chop . One of our favorites too . They have couple of drinks to suggest too . Don't know the name but a must try too.

If I could give 6 stats I would. Go and eat at this cute delicious restaurant. We were passing by and wanted brunch on a Monday. The fried chicken egg Benedict and Dutch pancakes were both not too sweet , freshly made and just 10000% yummy Service is quick and not pushy. Very pleasant owner or manager as well.

One of the best eggs Benedict I've had in a long time. Tasty cocktails but they take a while so order as soon as you sit down. If you wait to order drinks even coffee your food will come first. But growing pains of a business that just opening. For sure will go back again for the tasty food and am sure service will improve quickly.

Our third time here in less than a week and it just keeps getting better. Haven't had a bite or sip that left me wanting for more. I'm usually the type to stick with something I know I like and that would have been Japanese scramble after first visit but this place has unlocked my eager curiosity to try everything on menu so today...the "hot" fried chicken and waffles. Yep, awesome! I'll be back soon and am looking forward to trying the Pretti Benedict. Wife is a vegetarian and had veg omelette shown. Son got Japanese scramble and loved. Since they've only been open a week I guess we now qualify as a regular so we're treated with a delicious warm chocolate cake dish. Perfectly prepared with a subtle hint of what I think was cinnamon. Yum yum yum

    Great brunch spot! Highly recommend!

I heard there is a new breakfast place open nearby so I decided to check it out with my family today. All staff members were so friendly and welcoming. The restaurant itself is very pretty and their playlists were just right for breakfast place which gives the great vibe inside. The food came out at a decent time and they were all good. I highly recommended.

Buckle up! I have a lot of amazing things to say about this place! The hubs and I were in San Anselmo for a stroll on a Sunday. It was still a little early and most shops and restaurants were still closed. I was getting hungry and wanted more than what the coffee shops were offering. We got in the car to explore what else was in the area. And there, at the north part of town, we discovered an amazing little place, Pretti Platters. The menu is a wonderful blend of creative breakfast dishes and more hearty fare. Everything looked so good but I ended up with the Little Gems by Pretti with the Bodega Bay smoked salmon and the hubs got the Bacon Japanese Scramble. WOW. JUST WOW! The pictures don't do it justice. Everything was plated beautifully. The flavor combinations hit just right. I'm super picky about smoked salmon and this is one of the best I've ever had. The homemade dressing complimented the flavors of the salad toppings perfectly. For the Japanese Scramble, the eggs were fluffy and the slab of bacon was thick and flavorful. The table behind us shared the Hot Honey Chicken and Waffle and I overheard them gushing over it. Three of the four founders were there and we ended up chatting with them. We found out they had only been open 6 days! They are all super friendly and very enthusiastic and dedicated to their restaurant. You can tell they really care about the quality. Even though it is a 45 minute drive to get there from our house, we will definitely be going back! The portion sizes are generous. The menu is creative. The food is delicious. The staff is attentive and friendly. 10 out of 10. We'll be going back. Oh, and try the pink grapefruit mimosa. It beats the orange version hands down!

The best pork chop I ever have. The meat is tender and juicy mouth watering. Service is great and plenty of parkings. After hiking the park behind the restaurant. This is the nice place to have breakfast. Will coming back again for sure.

Wagyu burger, banana coconut French toast, and berry Dutch pancake.

My bf & I both loved this place, we will definitely come back whenever we're in the area! The pictures do not do the food justice, not only do they look good they ARE good. I had the Dutch pancakes with berries and it was delicious. It almost reminded me of a thicker crepe. I also tried the frittata and the strawberry latte. Both were good! My bf had the Wagyu burger and we were surprised how good it was. He also tried the banana + coconut fresh toast and it was amazing! We loved that the sweets were not too sweet and everything tasted fresh. The staff is also very friendly and attentive, definitely recommend to stop by.

I had to drive to Fairfax to pick up my daughter from camp and she was craving chicken and waffles…read more Not familiar with the area, I looked up a place on Yelp and discovered The Hummingbird, a New Orleans based restaurant. Having visited New Orleans earlier this year, I was so excited to try this place! As soon as I walked in, I felt like I was transported back to NOLA! There were beads hanging and Mardi Gras decorations throughout the restaurant. Since it was a weekday, there was no wait and we had our choice of sitting inside or out. We opted for inside. Our server was warm and friendly, bringing us water promptly. We started off with an order of beignets. It arrived with three big pieces. They were freshly fried and doused in powdered sugar. So good! My daughter ordered the chicken and waffles, while I decided to try the everything gumbo. The chicken and waffles was huge! It came with several pieces of fried chicken that was topped with freshly minced garlic and came with a homemade spicy sauce. My daughter loved it! I tried a bite and thought it was tasty as well. She ended up taking half of it home. The everything gumbo was also delicious! It was a little thin in my opinion, but the flavor was amazing! It was truly authentic and I could taste all the seafood that was in it. I finished my entire bowl! Unlike the chicken and waffle, it was appropriately sized. When I went to pay the bill, there was a sign that said "free beignets if you pay cash." So of course, I paid our bill in cash! Luckily, I had enough cash on me. Can't pass up a deal like that! All in all, it was a very enjoyable meal! If I'm ever in the area, I'd definitely go back to The Hummingbird!

After years of being utilized differently, the building underwent an extensive two-year restoration. The owners of the San Francisco bike shop Big Swingin' Cycles purchased the property, upgrading its infrastructure, adding a kitchen, and building a large, dog-friendly outdoor beer garden. You get that feeling that you really are at a lodge at the lake in Wisconsin. At least for a minute, it brings back memories. However, in place of the white and red pine trees are the gorgeous redwoods providing shade. Nice tap beer list with healthy portions served. I had the mushroom tacos, vegetarian style with a little salad and chips $10 and a half a beer. My lunch mate had the summer salad with chicken added $25 bucks which is a little steep, but certainly enough for two people. Served in a very large bowl. It's quite impressive. I would forgo the protein and save the six bucks extra. Great spot, great service, great ambience, great food, and beer. Walk, drive your car, or bicycle in. Whatever we lacked in Korean or Ethiopian fare we made up for with an abundance of restaurants specializing in food from France and Italy. Amelie Cafe and Wine Bar continues the tradition and I'm not mad about it. With outposts in both San Francisco and New York City, Amelie sports a nice pedigree. The Fairfax location is dialed down a bit - perfect for the neighborhood it serves - and makes for a comfortable place to enjoy any meal however you might happen to appear that day. It's a simple cafe and, though not inexpensive, certainly less so than a trip to Paris. Two of us recently dined here, late afternoon on a weekend, sharing a burger ($23; comes with fries and a salad), a lager ($8; they have no IPA), and boquerones, the latter of which I fully regretted having to share. Whenever I see boquerones ($12) on a menu I cannot look away and in Marin, finding such an offering is a unicorn. Delicious; I might sneak back over solo just to enjoy them again. The burger and fries were also good, with a profile a bit different than what one would get at a non-French-centric spot. Amelie is a good place to drop in before or after a movie or a show in Fairfax and equally wonderful to pop into for a morning coffee drink or an afternoon glass of wine. It's a casual and a perfect fit for Fairfax.
