I seem to be in the minority, but I really love this nail shop! My wait time is never too long and I always leave satisfied. I've had a few others do my nails here, but Kenny and Christy, the owners, are the best when it comes to doing them exactly how I want them. Christy is also the eyebrow queen and I always go to her when I need the waxing hookup. The prices are very fair and they also give me an extra military discount. They're never pushy or slow and they are always professional. The place can be busy at random times so I always call and make an appointment if I know I will need to really get in and out. I should mention...I have friends that adore this place. This is my very personal perspective... As I approached the chair, I noticed that the foot sink was lined with a plastic liner which, would have been fine if it didn't look like it had survived 14 previous pedicures. Because this was a pseudo-treat from my friend, I said a little prayer and put my toes in. So many of the reviews rave about cleanliness...I did not get that sense. The remote controls on the chairs were broken, missing buttons and did not work properly, The carpet was in need of a steam clean, the sink liners needed changing, etc. I'm not sure if they were about to close or if they had over-scheduled appointments, but they rushed through both of our appointments and my "extended" foot massage was very distracted and really brief. Even my friend, who swears by this place and will cancel an appointment rather than have "her girl", said that something must have been going on. I'll give them ONE more shot. Otherwise...I'll stick with my usual. read more

I've been there twice, once for a mani/pedi/eyebrow wax, second time for a pedicure only. I did not get a good vibe from this place. The salon itself is beautiful but all the employees never smile and are oddly unfriendly for being in the service industry. I thought I would give them another chance because I really want to like it! It's close to my home and a beautiful salon. They do a decent enough job but there isn't a large attention to detail from what I've experienced hence the 2 stars (Example: Paint left on my skin, nails not filed straight or uneven) The first time the lady doing my nails was very stern and unfriendly while doing my nails and she poured rubbing alcohol in my hangnail without warning and told me not to pick at it again. Ouch! The second visit, the lady who did my pedicure walked up and said "You pay now" as my toes were drying in the machine. I handed the other lady my card to pay. The lady who did my pedi walked back over and I handed her a few bills for a tip and she shot me a nasty look and walked away. I've never been treated so awkward at a salon. I honestly feel bad for them, they all look so unhappy. Sorry, but I won't be back. There's plenty of other salons who appreciate their customers, smile and will even say Thank you! read more

This place does not follow sanitary rules and regulations. The nail tech had just finished a pedicure and took me right after without washing her hands or changing her tools. Kept her tools in a pencil box and reused them without cleaning them. She also used the same nail file and buffer for each client. Do not recommend getting services here. read more

This place is under new ownership as of June 1, 2019 and deserves another chance. I stopped by on a whim as they are near the grocery store and they had a new yellow sign up that it is under new management. I hesitated because of the poor reviews that have been previously posted but I will be going back. I Took my chances by bringing my two-month-old baby along but they were able to accommodate with quick service, attentiveness to detail (like helping me with my back and lifting my shoes, the armrest, and the best massage that I have ever had with a pedicure. I got hot stones! Also, she took her time and gave a cute design on my nail. Somebody else walked in with a photograph of a design and staff are able to replicate it (you know how sometimes nail technicians act confused when you are showing them a picture?) it looks new on the inside but the owner told me that she still plans on making some improvements to the Decor. Very clean professional offering a quiet relaxing atmosphere, unlike other places that seem to rush and get to another customer they take there time and consentrate on you. I came here to get my eyebrows waxed, on a slow day, and waited over 20 minutes for her to spend 3 minutes on my eyebrows. She LAYERED on the HOT wax and was so rough while patting the pad down and then ripping it off. My eyebrows are still sore after 4 days lol. Terrible job. I'm never coming back. I like this place. I've been here twice and both times have been assisted by the only two men that work here. My first time here for a pedicure was with the younger of the 2 men. He wasn't much of a talker, but he was still nice and did a wonderful job. I asked for a flower on my big toes but was very precise and it turned out beautiful :) The second visit was with the other man, of course older of the two, and I'm not a fan. Just got my nails done here for New Years. The lady who did my nails was great. Not the greatest customer service when you walk in. The place is very clean and looks very nice. I got French painted on, not one chip in over 5 days! That's pretty impressive if you ask me, normally my French nails chip within a couple of days! A man (the owner) did my nails at this salon. I've been debating whether or not to write this review. The day after I got my acrylics done here my index finger nail was clearly not done properly because it was starting to come off. I'm not sure about everyone else's opinion but the whole point for me of paying to get acrylics is to not have to deal with them coming off like the store bought fake nails that you apply yourself with nail glue. With my busy schedule I have not been able to go get it fixed and of course it has now fallen completely off. An acrylic nail coming off is dangerous because bacteria can form between it and your nail!! I am super disappointed. $45 later and my nail FALLS off. I will not be coming back or recommending this unprofessional salon. Save your money and go somewhere else. read more

Just went in for a lip wax, and maybe a mani/ pedi. It felt like the lady couldn't be bothered. She seemed so annoyed that I was even there, she didn't even look up at me... mind you there was no customers in the store, just a worker sleeping on a pedicure chair. Went in hoping to find a new place that's convenient and nice. I love my shop near Carlsbad Shoppes by Chipotle, but it's out of my way. Walked into this place and was utterly shocked at how filthy everything was from the nail polish bottles to every detail around me and even the foot tubs had stuff smeared on them despite that they add a plastic bag liner for you. Nasty nasty nasty grime on everything. And on my way in, I had noticed a woman who I had seen sitting outside of the shop next door in front of a closed down business. She was facing the wall sitting on a rickety chair and hunched over crookedly sipping out of soda cup. I thought for sure she was homeless. Well it turns out she was my nail tech. She walked in looking so sad and burned out and of course with no friendless or ability to understand anything I was saying except for "how much is a mani pedi". Well after seeing all the gross dirty stuff everywhere and now this sad nail tech, and to top it, they have the highest price I've seen for Oceanside at $34 for a basic mani/pedi.. I was like " um.. I'm outta here!" It was so depressing and dirty that i had greasy film on my hands from picking out my nail polish. I had to go into Ralph's to wash my hands. The bottle was nasty.
