I went in yesterday as a walk-in around 4:40pm for a full set of acrylic nails. When I arrived, I went to the bar area where a few employees were present. I was greeted and directed to check in using the iPad. After checking in, I took a seat on the bench and didn't have to wait long before being called. I was then brought to seat number 2 with Liam. Liam was very nice and welcoming. He helped push in my chair and offered me the drink menu, which I declined. At first, I felt I may not have clearly communicated my idea, as I was unsure and trying to decide on a design. I was initially hoping for a pink cat-eye look with a French tip, but I probably should have shown a reference photo sooner to explain what I meant. During prep, he was a bit rough with cuticle removal, but I didn't say anything at the time. Once the acrylic process began, he checked in with me often to make sure I was happy with the shape and design. When I expressed that I wanted a pinker tone, he was very accommodating and redid my index finger so it matched better, which I appreciated. I did feel the acrylic ended up quite thick, as two beads were used. I asked about it and he confirmed it would be filed down later, so I trusted the process at that point. Liam was also helpful in bringing over different color options, and I appreciated his patience as I was quite indecisive. I showed him a reference photo for a pink sparlkly French tip, and he brought over several similar sparkly options, but none fully matched what I was describing. When I asked what he recommended or whether a simpler pink tone with a French tip could be done instead, another technician nearby immediately responded to me to "just choose a color," which felt dismissive right after I had shown the reference photo. That same technician frequently interjected into the conversation and often responded to my questions in a defensive tone. This made me feel uncomfortable and made it harder to communicate my preferences clearly. I was eventually left feeling overwhelmed and ended up settling for an iridescent cat-eye design. I do wish Liam had been a bit more proactive in offering suggestions or helping guide me through options, as I was unsure of what would work best. I also felt quite anxious during the appointment, and I usually go to nail salons as a way to relax and treat myself, so it was difficult to fully enjoy the experience when I felt pressured while asking questions. I do like how my nails turned out, although they are quite thick and I personally prefer a thinner finish. I really wanted to like this place because the color selection is good and the location is very convenient for me, but I'm still unsure based on this experience. read more

This was my second time coming to this salon. My first time, I got a gel polish change from Lynn, and she's so sweet and kind! The second time I got the deluxe gel pedicure from LYNN and she DOES AN AMAZING JOB!! SHES THE BEST she's super attentive to detail and precise! My toes always come out PERFECT and last a long time! I booked an online appt and there was no wait, Liam was great! I'll be back to try more complicated designs, but so far I'm very happy with this place. I came here few days ago for gel x and pedi with gel, and just came back today for a repair. The first time was pretty okay I'd say. I like the pedi with gel, my gel x extensions could be better. It was rushed and the cuticle part wasn't clean but it still looked good. Although I came back today for a repair with a different nail tech(the only one available) because i broke my thumb nail and they rushed it, it didnt match the length of my other thumb, it was longer, and there was hardened gel on my cuticles! I give this Oceanside local 10 out of 10!! Came with my sister before a trip and this place did not disappoint. Walking in, I was greeted and I checked out the menu, and they fill out a small little menu sheet for your technician. Also, I think the nail salon has the reward system. I'll make sure to ask for details the next time I come. But I think that's very different and unique. Definitely keeps a customer coming back. As they seat you, they ask you if you would like a complimentary drink and that is amazing! Most places don't offer this. They definitely give you a first class service. I've been here a few times now and have gone to Liam as my nail tech-he is an artist! I don't request anything too crazy and always get a gel mani. With all of the designs and colors that I've gotten so far (pictures from Pinterest and 1 design from their website), I've gotten nothing but compliments and he does make sure it's what you want! They do get super busy, so as a walk in-it could be a wait. I suggest making an appointment is easy! I got my nails done on May 25th, in the late afternoon, it's now June 6th and today I had my 3rd nail fall off. They have fallen off since Wednesday, nails I paid $80 for should not be falling off during daily tasks a week later. The place is nice, they have cleaning logs. Unfortunately work is a bit rushed. Too expensive for the quality received. They definitely overwork the staff and theyre about getting bodies in and out. I didn't notice the small details until i got home, but lines weren't clean and i had 3 fingers with white paint on them still. These pictures were taken the day after the appt. Very expensive for the quality that is given. The language barrier made it hard to communicate what you wanted. I asked for ombre chrome and she said French tip so i said okay yes French tip. On the other hand they offer u drinks which is cool. The mixed drinks definitely dont have a full shot of alcohol in it to note- probably less than a quarter tbh. I've gotten my nails done by Liam multiple times and he gets it just right every single time-- even on the difficult designs! He takes his time and does wonderful prep, my nails stay on for over a month which is great. It does seem a bit pricy, but in my opinion it's worth it for the kind of retention I've been experiencing. You truly get what you pay for here. It's very clean inside and welcoming, everyone is very nice and you are able to get a complimentary drink (water, soda, and if you feel frisky an alcoholic beverage). I get pedicures every so often, Philip is the guy to go to, truly some of the best foot massages around! Even if you get the classic one like I do, they still treat it as special as their more boujee offerings. Went here for the first time last week and had a mixed experience. I really liked Tony T--he did a great job on my niece's manicure--and Brian, who was kind and professional during my pedicure. The salon itself has a nice vibe, and I appreciated that they were able to accommodate us on short notice. Unfortunately, my manicure with Helen was disappointing. She cut me on four fingers and didn't acknowledge it or apologize, which was upsetting. At the end, she sprayed alcohol on my hands without warning, and it burned quite a bit. I don't typically have much cuticle, and I've never had this happen at other salons, so it felt both painful and unnecessary. The visit came out to about $200 for three services, which is on the pricier side, so I expected a bit more care. Stopped by for a basic pedicure. This business is located in the old Happiness Nails suite. The atmosphere is very business-esqe. Everyone is wearing polo shirts and name tags. Even though they're trying to be professional, there is still that feel (like Happiness Nails had) of the younger employees being indentured servants.
