I would say- just ok. My husband and I went there for the 4th time. It irritates us that they set a timer for a 10 minute massage and tell you they are doing so. The massage has always been substandard, just a lot of fast up and down on your calves and they barely touch your feet. They should really know that is the most enjoyable part for customers. They never quite get the heels smooth, we always leave with rough areas. The drink and snack offerings are great! [[HIGHLIGHT]]By why not ask the customer about preferences and for feedback at the end.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] This is the first time I got a French manicure and it was a crappy job on the white tips. They don't file and shape your nails and do a crappy job trimming my husbands nails. I think they should charge less for men since no polish is involved. Most of the salons around are the same crappy work and service. I came here few days ago for gel x and pedi with gel, and just came back today for a repair. The first time was pretty okay I'd say. I like the pedi with gel, my gel x extensions could be better. It was rushed and the cuticle part wasn't clean but it still looked good. Although I came back today for a repair with a different nail tech(the only one available) because i broke my thumb nail and they rushed it, it didnt match the length of my other thumb, it was longer, and there was hardened gel on my cuticles! We had the pedicure here at Noir nail lounge with Lina. I loved the presentation of all of the items that were being used during the pedicure. It was so pretty. The massage chair was working and gave nice massage. A cool thing about the spot is they offer a beverage of choice when you come in for service, which I thought was nice. They also have snacks which we did not partake in. The pedicure was nice and my technician checked beforehand if I loved the color that I chose once applied and I didn't. She quickly was able to replace it with my backup one that I liked much better with no problem. The massage was okay and as expected with a pedicure tech. I get my nails done every 3 weeks religiously, I was desperate and needed to get them done today because I wouldn't have any time on the weekend. This place is less than a mile from my work and the reviews seemed ok enough. The place is nice, air conditioned the pedicure spa chairs are nice and comfortable they give you a welcome drink (which is why I give it 2 stars. I got the deluxe pedicure the lady Ana did a pretty good job I told her I wanted to cut down short but she cut shorter than expected. For my fill I had Chris, I just wanted French tip and to also cut down shorter, he filed my nails so hard he cut me twice the paint job is so bad looks like a 5 year old did it. Awesome! I've been searching around Oceanside/carlsbad for a decent nail place and this was try #6. $70 for a full set gel builder and design, about an hour. I booked an online appt and there was no wait, Liam was great! I'll be back to try more complicated designs, but so far I'm very happy with this place. I give this Oceanside local 10 out of 10!! Came with my sister before a trip and this place did not disappoint. Walking in, I was greeted and I checked out the menu, and they fill out a small little menu sheet for your technician. Also, I think the nail salon has the reward system. I'll make sure to ask for details the next time I come. But I think that's very different and unique. Definitely keeps a customer coming back. As they seat you, they ask you if you would like a complimentary drink and that is amazing! Most places don't offer this. They definitely give you a first class service. I didn't notice the small details until i got home, but lines weren't clean and i had 3 fingers with white paint on them still. These pictures were taken the day after the appt. Very expensive for the quality that is given. The language barrier made it hard to communicate what you wanted. I asked for ombre chrome and she said French tip so i said okay yes French tip. On the other hand they offer u drinks which is cool. The mixed drinks definitely dont have a full shot of alcohol in it to note- probably less than a quarter tbh. I've gotten my nails done by Liam multiple times and he gets it just right every single time-- even on the difficult designs! He takes his time and does wonderful prep, my nails stay on for over a month which is great. It does seem a bit pricy, but in my opinion it's worth it for the kind of retention I've been experiencing. You truly get what you pay for here. It's very clean inside and welcoming, everyone is very nice and you are able to get a complimentary drink (water, soda, and if you feel frisky an alcoholic beverage). I get pedicures every so often, Philip is the guy to go to, truly some of the best foot massages around! Even if you get the classic one like I do, they still treat it as special as their more boujee offerings. Went here for the first time last week and had a mixed experience. I really liked Tony T--he did a great job on my niece's manicure--and Brian, who was kind and professional during my pedicure. The salon itself has a nice vibe, and I appreciated that they were able to accommodate us on short notice. Unfortunately, my manicure with Helen was disappointing. She cut me on four fingers and didn't acknowledge it or apologize, which was upsetting. At the end, she sprayed alcohol on my hands without warning, and it burned quite a bit. I don't typically have much cuticle, and I've never had this happen at other salons, so it felt both painful and unnecessary. The visit came out to about $200 for three services, which is on the pricier side, so I expected a bit more care. Overall, the salon has potential, but my experience with one technician made it hard to fully enjoy. read more

Stopped by for a basic pedicure. This business is located in the old Happiness Nails suite. The atmosphere is very business-esqe. Everyone is wearing polo shirts and name tags. Even though they're trying to be professional, there is still that feel (like Happiness Nails had) of the younger employees being indentured servants. I asked to only have my cuticles trimmed and my nails cut/filed/polished. I'm extremely ticklish so I prefer not to have the bottoms of my feet touched.
