Cecelia Creole Bistro…read more 421 N 3rd St Suite B, Baton Rouge, LA 70802 IG: Tonylameats Restaurant Week at Cecilia Creole Bistro did NOT disappoint! Everything was flawless! From the creamy crab & brie soup and deviled eggs with tasso jam to crispy duck rangoon, tender smoked beef cheeks (my personal favorite), and that mahi mahi étouffée-style risotto! And don't sleep on dessert; every bite was a win! #TonyLaMeats #RestaurantWeekBR #BatonRougeEats #FoodieFinds #CreoleCuisine

I love the ambiance of this restaurant. It was giving date night vibes and romance for sure! The…read morelights were dimmed and the restaurant was very small and cozy. We took our mom here for her birthday in early June. The service was okay at this restaurant. There was nothing that stood out in particular about the service, it was pretty average. The food at this restaurant all tasted great. I tried their fried green tomatoes appetizer as well as their golden fried alligator which was delicious. I got the jerk fried chicken with red beans and rice and smoked sausage for my entree and it was good. I was expecting my chicken to be spicy or to at least taste like jerk seasoning but it didn't at all. It was more like a BBQ sauce with no heat at all. The menu was also very lacking to me, we all felt that it was missing items or needed more. I wish there was more of a variety of items to choose from especially for those allergic to shellfish or vegetarian.

We are back after5 years and we are happy to report that Cocha is thriving!!!!…read more We were hoping that the grilled Parmesan coated oysters were on the menu but they weren't However, it gave us an opportunity to explore the menu and we were thankful we did. For appetizers, we had the cachapas with pork which were delicious. Recommended app for sure! My wife had an Indian curry with cabbage, purple rice, chick peas and spinach-wow!!!!!! Probably the creamiest tasting curry ever! You could add a protein but wifey went with the vegetarian option and it was great! It wasn't perfect bc there were some chick peas that weren't cooked all the way and were crunchy I went with the mussels in a pesto cream sauce with potatoes and it was sooooo delicious!!! Again not perfect as some mussels had that sandy/gritty taste which I didn't like it most of the them were fine. The ambience here is great! The owner really has thought out every detail to make sure you have an amazing experience. From the decor, music, staff-you can tell there was a a lot of thought, care and love put into it. Our server was very attentive and made great recommendations. Ima Florida boy through and through, but anytime I'm in Louisiana, I will definitely make it a point to stop in for another great food adventure!!!

This place is handsdown my favorite spot for a downtown business lunch. I've explored a good chunk…read moreof the menu and haven't found a single miss, but if you're looking for my recommendation, go with the grilled pork chops. Fair warning you'll probably need a nap afterward. The restaurant has a sharp, modern aesthetic and is consistently spotless. The Service: This is one of the few places where the service is truly flawless. The staff is prompt, accommodating, and friendly every single time. My only small knocks on the place is Parking and music. Be prepared to pay for a spot and walk a couple of blocks. Occasionally, the music is a bit too high, which can make having a conversation a little hard. Overall the best lunch stop for downtown.

Please avoid this place…read more Went for Restaurant Week and was completely disappointed. Food was not good...grease bombs and burnt cake that wasn't worth the calories. We will never be going back. Ambiance: The real estate of this establishment is wasted on this restaurant. Beautiful downtown location with a wall of floor-to-ceiling windows that look out at pretty foliage and the I-10 bridge. The interior? Dirty, cracking, grease splattered walls with dusty canvas paintings. Service: our waiter was very kind and attentive and should be working in a nicer establishment. The hostess was abrupt and lacked personality. Food: The Food at Capital City Grill has always been inconsistent at best erring on 'not great' but in an endearing way. Like leaning in to watching a terrible movie. You know it's a bad film, but you appreciate it because it's bad, which makes it almost good. Always felt this way about Capital City Grill until today. What we just had turned us off completely from ever returning.
