I have been here twice so far. Prices are a tad high but I think that can be expected with coffee shops/cafes. I first went during their soft opening phase and had a cold coffee and a chicken Caesar wrap. These were just okay. Portions were quite small for the price but everything tasted fine. The second time I had the French kiss hot coffee and this was delicious. I would go back again just for this. The cafe is adorable and has bar seating and a couple tables. There is also a comfy sofa seating area that is cozy for reading or just having a coffee. The service could have been a little better. The person at the register could have been a little more welcoming but that is just my opinion.

So so yummy! Very cute cafe, and the woman who took my order was super sweet. Will be back for sure!

    Chicken and avocado sandwich

My review is for takeout (via Door Dash). I can't speak for the atmosphere or service, since I wasn't in the store. I ordered a turkey avocado sandwich, strawberry matcha and a berry smoothie. $14.50 ($13.00 on their pick-up menu) for a very basic turkey & avocado sandwich that should be no more than $7-$8, plus a couple of dollars markup for delivery. It's toasted white bread (you can select other sliced bread or a wrap) Two thin slices of pre-packaged, low quality turkey meat, a bit of smashed up avocado, lettuce, tomato, mayo. It's super super basic and wasn't even cut in half (had to do it myself). For comparison, you can get a pretty decent turkey sandwich at Panera for a couple $ less, and it comes with more & better quality turkey, aged cheddar, mixed greens, tomato, red onions, avocado on thick sliced sour dough. So... And I'm not even a Panera fan. This sandwich tasted like something you rushed to pack as lunch for yourself while you were hurrying out the door for work. I'm not sure how someone actually felt OK about signing off on this pricing, or actually, even the sandwich itself. You know, I was writing this review as I tried to eat the sandwich. And I couldn't keep eating it after a couple of bites. I ended up tossing most of it in the trash. This may be the first time I've ever been depressed over a sandwich. The strawberry matcha was fine-ish. It wasn't blended too well and I kept getting clumps of pasty matcha in the straw until I poured it into another cup and gave it a few violent shakes. It was serviceable. Needs more matcha flavor. Berry smoothie was bland and needed some type of sweetener. I didn't see that option when ordering. I added some of my own simple syrup to make it slightly sweet. Tasted much better after that. I'm pretty disappointed so far. I think there is room for improvement with the drinks. The cafe just needs to work on perfecting them. Train staff on technique and execution. Maybe add more customization options online - not sure how it's set up on the store. Work on perfecting the drinks. As for the sandwich, I'd advise removing it from the menu entirely. It's a lost cause. The food menu doesn't impress in general. Paninis and flatbreads might be a better option. I saw where the owner mentioned they used Uncle Ben's rice in a response to a review complaining about the rice bowl. Get better quality ingredients in bulk and not convenience items from the grocery store down the street. Also, better tea and hot cocoa options. Off the shelf, grocery store stuff ain't it. I understand the difficulty in opening a new business and smoothing out the bumps. I'd like this business to succeed, as this area of Suffolk needs nice things like this. I think a big mistake new businesses make, is buying cheap ingredients and overlooking whether or not menu items are actually necessary or make sense. You can get a basic (and much better) turkey avo sandwich anywhere. Create something special and unique, with quality ingredients. I'm really rooting for this business and I'm hoping they will take some suggestions to heart and strive to provide excellent brunch or breakfast items, and high quality drinks. As it stands, they need to do a lot of work.

Well that was disappointing. My first visit was so great that I was excited to take someone else here for my second visit. Walk in and there's one person working. She completely ignores us. I go to the restroom and leave my companion there waiting. The restroom is filthy. There's no toilet paper. The trashcan is overflowing. Go back and wait a total of 10 minutes before she finally acknowledges us. While waiting, she and the cook are arguing with another customer about her wrong order. The poor woman even shows them on an app what she ordered. They argued with her that she was wrong! I'm starting to get annoyed just listening. Finally the very same woman who was so friendly the first time I visited has had a personality transplant. She informs us that the milk on the counter is all the milk they have left. No big since I don't drink dairy anyways. Then she tells me that's ALL the milk they have and there are 4 cups ahead of me. 10am on a Friday morning. Valentine's Day and you are already out of milk? What the heck!? This is a new establishment. They need to figure this mess out quickly or they won't make it to the summer. Customers will go elsewhere.

I have been going for the past year, and they are consistent every time. Recently we went as a family. The vibe was amazing as usual. Warm, welcoming, and effortlessly charming. The staff? Always incredible. They're genuinely friendly, super attentive, and their recommendations never miss. Now the FOOD. We ordered a mix of sweet and savory, and every single item delivered: The peach pecan streusel crêpe was pure comfort warm, buttery, and perfectly balanced with that sweet, nutty crunch. I usually get extra caramel drizzle. The French toast crêpe. Imagine your favorite brunch classic leveled up into something soft, rich, and absolutely indulgent. The Nutella and banana crêpe is a crowd pleaser, especially for kids. It's creamy, chocolatey, and just the right amount of sweetness. The turkey, goat cheese, and avocado panini brought the savory side. The flavor was great, and came with kettle chips. The drinks were just as fun and unique. The butterfly pea flower lemonade, was not only refreshing but visually stunning. We also got the mango soda and a blueberry soda, both bursting with flavor and kid approved. Everything about Café Davina just hits right. The food, the drinks, the atmosphere, the people. It's one of those places where you walk in and immediately feel good, and then leave already planning your next visit. If you're looking for amazing crêpes, a cozy vibe, and consistently great service. This place is it!

As for me the Spicy Sausage Omelette was really really good. The sausage had a bite of heat but nothing crazy. Not sure what they used but don't stop - it was that good. We both also had Sweet Teas. We were warned from the start - they are dark and REAL sweet. Which for me was perfect. As for the service: there was one lady (dam forgot her name) taking care of all the guest and she did great. When I say taking care of - I mean everything. Bussing tables, sitting folks, taking orders, and cashing out. Again she was wonderful! The place is neat just like many have said before me. Old 80's type stuff on the walls and tables. Now let me address something that some past Yelpers clearly have an issue with. There are small indications of the owners political views within the location. Nothing crazy at all and unless you really look for it you won't notice. Some past yelpers I who clearly don't agree used this to bust down their Yelp review. That's ridiculous. If the owner wants to voice their opinion- they have every right. It's their place - with their money on the line and their time vested. They clearly treated every guest wonderfully and that's all you should really focused on. So looking for a very good meal (breakfast) at a nice little joint - go on in and enjoy. I'm sure we will be back and might even shoot for the lunch menu next time.
