The staff inside, they're friendly. The store is always clean inside. The Slurpee machines are always working! ! I stopped by during my lunch break to grab a quick bite to eat before I went back to work, I walked in and realized the hand sanitizer automatic pumps that are located right by the door as you enter were not operating so I had to go into the restroom in order to wash my hands ( even though I was going in the restroom anyway ) but it's still an inconvenience not to sanitize before the sanitation of my hands.. we all know your hands can never be too clean, that's also comparing to a individual who has too much money! That phrase is non existent and you will never hear anyone in their right mind speak those words! Well let's get back to the review,I apologize for getting off the subject!. I ordered a shorti sub toasted with honey roasted turkey and cheddar cheese. When I got the sub and began to eat I I realized how they over toasted my sub roll, it was so hard that I couldn't even bite into my sub because the roll was too hard, the meat and cheese was also nonexistent because of the amount of meat and cheese that they attempted to put on it!, it was very unsatisfying to eat so I ended up throwing it away! I frequent this store a few times a week, and have always had excellent and friendly service from all employees except for tonight. I walk in, only customer, and proceed to the register. The female working had her cell phone in hand above the register, so I was in her direct line of sight. She never acknowledged my presence, no greeting, so I then said I'll have four packs of Marlboro Silver 100's, please. I had ID in hand as your staff always cards me, but she never asked for ID. She then put down the phone, moved slowly to reach for the packs - had she moved any slower she'd have been going backwards - rang up the packs, then walked over to the front window. Guess she assumed that I was paying by card and not cash. She never told me the amount of the purchase, so I asked if we were good, and what's my total. Her reply: you saw me ring 'em up, I put the smokes in the bag, the price is right there. Two other customers had entered the store by now, so instead of taking issue, I stated that I'd talk to the manager tomorrow. Her response: I don't care who you talked to, and then kept on with attitude about what she had done for the purchase. I departed. Tomorrow I will speak to the manager, and have this comment in hand for her review and whatever corrective action that she deems appropriate. Your employee has attitude, and I see it as all about my race. Won't happen again as I will not be as nice as this evening. Dont care about the gas.....Miller Marts are usually not the cheapest place to buy gas…read more I am only reviewing the place because they put in a Dunkin Donuts on the side of the building. Smart. I saw one of these in Newport News and I havent really been able to notice the difference. This DD is brand new and they are doing pretty well. I will keep going until they give me a reason to go elsewhere.
