I was really Hangry for a cheesesteak. The previous night I had seen a Wawa commercial for their Cheesesteaks (couldn't overcome the strong suggestive power of advertising). I walked in right around lunchtime and the place was busy. You walk in and place your order on their touch screens (ton of options). Make sure you are patient with the customer in front of you because that will be you in a few minutes, endlessly scrolling through options unless you take one of their predetermined subs (options selected for you)! This Wawa is always busy but their staff really works at getting people moving. You don't see employees just standing around, everyone is always working on something and making direct eye contact asking if you need some help. The cashiers are always very efficient and friendly. My cheesesteak sub was delicious and properly enjoyed in their parking lot because I couldn't wait to get home. The aroma was that good! read more

Very confusing. Pending charge to my card was $175.00 for only 8 gallons of gasoline. Conveniently no receipt was able to print.

Easy in and out for a first time visit with the gas light on. It was a busy mid morning with customers filling most bays. Pump area was clean and no issue on the operation of the pump or credit card. The trash was with its boundaries. A deduction on the price which was $3.49, that's .20 cents more than areas stations within a mile. I would skip next time based on this WaWa is gouging customers. read more

Solid 3.5 stars. It's a Wawa so it's only so good but they had the things we needed: snacks and coffee. The coffee bar was missing the one I wanted but I was able to get decaf with some great fat free creamer from their extremely well-stocked creamer bar with about 10 options - it's hidden below the sugar and stirrers abs almost looks like the items are for sale but they are little creamers of all flavors like hazelnut and Irish cream for you to use in cardboard cartons. Noms! Got a few snacks abs were in and out. It's not the biggest but it was clean and had all the essentials. Friendly and helpful staff as well. read more

There were plenty of parking spaces, however, the whole parking lot is kind of connected to the other parking lot so it was a bit confusing. I really do like the layout to this store. Love this place. It's well lit, the food is always good, and the gas is usually the cheapest around.

I LOVE the self service food ordering system. If your a control freak on any degree you will love that you can customize your food to how you like it. Extra onions? Hold the mayo? No whipped topping(WHAT?). Customize to your hearts content. I bring my kids here in the summer for their drink treats. Fruit smoothies, milkshakes, ice coffee, fruit drinks over ice. It's pretty affordable and right now they have a drink promo $2/16 oz or $3/24 oz. My kids love being able to look and choose what they want. It can become a production as they become indecisive. Luckily they have multiple monitors. Service is pretty quick and the place is clean appearing and has an open feel inside. read more

I'm a number one fan of this Wawa location in particularly because it is new, updated, I love the cleanliness and the bathrooms! I love everything about Wawa. It beats 7eleven any day.. No offense to the 7 eleven lovers... I hate going to gas stations that have grimy bathrooms, but of course.. With this being new to this location.. It's a up to date and clean facility. I like how they positioned and arranged the area. the food area and snack bar is located in the center for everyone to notice. Best place to get your hoagies and on the run meals. Coffee is a must here! There is a vast variety to choose from. I like the Colombian, that will keep me awake all day! Right now they have the seasonal pumpkin spice coffee and it's any size for $1!!!! I also am a big fan of the Atm machine! Seriously, u don't pay any atm fee here! This is my regular Wawa. I am in here 3-5 times a week getting coffee before work. I see a lot of the same customers daily. Always good service and Melissa, one of the employees is always cheerfully greeting customers at the register. There is another regular cashier and I can't think of her name who is very friendly and pleasant. Clean and well stocked. The coffee bar usually is well tended to (I've been in wawas where the coffee bar looked abused and neglected). This will continue to be my go to. I've been waiting for a new coffee flavor to come out since they discontinued Tanzania. read more

Best place to buy coffee! They have a great selection of coffees, including their cappuccino and Mocha Wake Up with extra caffeine. The service is great. Dylan is such a great cashier...a pleasure to see his smile and he always greets you with kindness. I can say the same for the two hardest working guys...both Shayne and Dave. Always friendly and hard at work. This location is always clean and well stocked. I couldn't believe I had to list this location because it wasn't on YELP. It's in a great location on Kempsville Road and Green Tree in Chesapeake. My friends have mixed feelings about this specific wawa, but there are no complaints coming from this girl! I have always had good customer service here, and the store is always clean and fully stocked with whatever munchies/drinks you need. This wawa is always very brightly lit outside where gas is pumped and I've come here multiple occasions in the middle of the night or very early morning and have felt very safe. Oh btw, free air for your tires ! Save your quarters people. I've received hoagies from this place on multiple occasions and they have all been made super fast and have been packed full of meat and toppings. Maybe they don't have enough people working for the afternoon rush because it's a common thing. Other than that, I don't have any issues with this location. So I come here to take advantage of that and also because they offer some healthy options for snacks - classic apple slices and peanut butter, anyone? It's easy to turn into the place, but getting out - you're forced to only turn a certain way. That leads to me having to make some crazy U-turn to get out to my intended direction (away from Battlefield Blvd and towards Greenbrier Pkwy). This particular Wawa handles the morning bustle like no other! The staff is so polite, and I love the cashiers. They're so bright, and it's so important to have such lovely people to greet you a good morning before you're off to make that money. Wawa is my favorite gas station in the area because of the selection inside. Those fruit cups are all yummy! In the morning, I tend to go with an original glazed donut. Those breakfast sandwiches are amazing!!! The croissant with bacon, egg, and white cheese is surprisingly soo freaking good. Their hashbrowns are fantastic as well, but if you don't like onions- it does have a strong onion taste due to the onion powder they season their hashbrowns with. Also, A+ stuff for having soy milk as a coffee creamer option in a cooled area. Take that, Starbucks. They didn't even charge me extra for the soy au lait, lool. Went here for something to eat after work, I heard they have good hoagies but must have heard wrong cause I got a cold(should have been toasted) Philly cheesesteak. The hoagie was an all around disappointment, the meat was lukewarm at best and kinda dry the cheese was still cold and not melted which tells me they didn't even bother toasting it in the first place and the bread showed no sign of toasting either further cementing that. Recently I had to change my route to work so I passed this Wawa first. I used to go to the one off of Old Battlefield, off 168. After seeing how both are on this one seems a little disorganized every morning. It's usually slammed there's always a long line at the register. The other Wawa no matter how busy it gets always has extra cashier's once a line starts to build. Maybe this one is understaffed? Also I get the same thing every morning but for some reason it costs more at this Wawa. I can literally go order the same breakfast and pay $0.67 less off of Old Battlefield? Wawas are always pretty decent. I love that they are well lit, have cheap gas, and have made to order food as well as a plethora of snack items. Whenever I see a wawas and another convenient store beside it, I always go to to Wawas. This one in particular is no different. It's clean, well lit, has cheap gas, and their made to order food service is very speedy.
