This review is strictly for the gas filling stations. I love how user friendly the Wawa app is, it tracks your fuel points where you get 15 cents off per gallon when you reach 500 rewards points. The app knows which location you're at so you can just input the pump number and then pay , then app activates the pump. This Wawa location has someone take trash in the middle of the day so there isn't trash overflow. read more

Wawa - Gas Stations Near Me - Chesapeake, Virginia

I've been going to this Wawa since they opened many years ago and I've never been disappointed. The staff is friendly and helpful. I like to get the fresh made sandwiches when I need to grab a bite to eat. Their gasoline prices are competitive and they usually run within a penny or two of the 7-11 across the street. read more

This is the only store in the area that will NOT allow the use of rewards card on multiple transactions. Employees have told me they would be written up if they do. The management SUCKS!!! I will NEVER step foot in this store again!!! I will go to 7-11 across the street to get my gas or other items! Be a friend & BOYCOTT this store!!! read more

I walked into Wawa and the lady's at the cashier refused to sell me a couple beers because I was Latina, their answer was that they assumed I was with someone else read more

I was really Hangry for a cheesesteak. The previous night I had seen a Wawa commercial for their Cheesesteaks (couldn't overcome the strong suggestive power of advertising). I walked in right around lunchtime and the place was busy. You walk in and place your order on their touch screens (ton of options). Make sure you are patient with the customer in front of you because that will be you in a few minutes, endlessly scrolling through options unless you take one of their predetermined subs (options selected for you)! This Wawa is always busy but their staff really works at getting people moving. You don't see employees just standing around, everyone is always working on something and making direct eye contact asking if you need some help. The cashiers are always very efficient and friendly. My cheesesteak sub was delicious and properly enjoyed in their parking lot because I couldn't wait to get home. The aroma was that good! read more

Very confusing. Pending charge to my card was $175.00 for only 8 gallons of gasoline. Conveniently no receipt was able to print.

Easy in and out for a first time visit with the gas light on. It was a busy mid morning with customers filling most bays. Pump area was clean and no issue on the operation of the pump or credit card. The trash was with its boundaries. A deduction on the price which was $3.49, that's .20 cents more than areas stations within a mile. I would skip next time based on this WaWa is gouging customers. read more

Horrible, horrible, horrible customer service! I asked a question and the employee rolled her eyes! Never ever going back! The manager should be fired!! read more

Standard Wawa experience. It's good here, the food is good, only one air pump, but the other one was misreading really bad.

Solid 3.5 stars. It's a Wawa so it's only so good but they had the things we needed: snacks and coffee. The coffee bar was missing the one I wanted but I was able to get decaf with some great fat free creamer from their extremely well-stocked creamer bar with about 10 options - it's hidden below the sugar and stirrers abs almost looks like the items are for sale but they are little creamers of all flavors like hazelnut and Irish cream for you to use in cardboard cartons. Noms! Got a few snacks abs were in and out. It's not the biggest but it was clean and had all the essentials. Friendly and helpful staff as well. read more

Wow.. I HAD to work today, Just wanted a soup so I wouldn't get sluggish on this final day before the NYE break. Simple chicken noodle soup Not even my favorite but it was this or chili.. This is the first time I've been to this particular Wawa location. There were plenty of parking spaces, however, the whole parking lot is kind of connected to the other parking lot so it was a bit confusing. I really do like the layout to this store. It it totally different than the others in the area I am used to. I didn't partake in any of their fresh made food but they did have a bunch of convenient foods such as yogurt, hot dogs, fruit, lunchables, etc. I do not have anything negative to say about this location. It's like any other Wawa. read more

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE Wawa meatball hoagies! You would think I was pregnant by how much I crave these things. I was born and raised in Jersey so Wawa was our go to. Back then I always got an Italian sub with everything on it then a friend turned me on to the tuna sub with pickles, Mayo, oil and vinegar. Definitely a must try! I was hooked on that for a few years but then one day I had a craving for a meatball hoagie. This hoagie has been my go to for over 10 years! Another suggestion my son loves is the cheesesteak hoagie with Mac and cheese ( custom order). read more

I LOVE the self service food ordering system. If your a control freak on any degree you will love that you can customize your food to how you like it. Extra onions? Hold the mayo? No whipped topping(WHAT?). Customize to your hearts content. I bring my kids here in the summer for their drink treats. Fruit smoothies, milkshakes, ice coffee, fruit drinks over ice. It's pretty affordable and right now they have a drink promo $2/16 oz or $3/24 oz. My kids love being able to look and choose what they want. It can become a production as they become indecisive. Luckily they have multiple monitors. Service is pretty quick and the place is clean appearing and has an open feel inside. read more

Love this place. It's well lit, the food is always good, and the gas is usually the cheapest around.

Great food, Great deals, (get the app) and Patty at the check out is always AWESOME!! Super friendly, helpful and just really sweet!!

I really really don't like giving anyone a low star. Especially a place I always go to..... But people presentation and customer service is everything! For you to just hand me my turkey bowl like this.... With it looking so messy and it spilling on the side Come on now. That's just ridiculous! If you did not want to be at work today. You should have just called out and not put your anger on my turkey bowl! I was so excited hearing about the commercial for the turkey bowls at work I decided to come and purchase one. But it totally pissed me off for the young man to have an attitude then basically placed the two turkey bowls hard on the counter where its spilling in the bag. But since I did not want to make a scene. I smiled at him. Said thank you, took my happy behind and left with my turkey bowls. Cause that whole situation could of turned into something else. Worst customer service eveerr!!! Smh! There usually so nice in there. What happened this afternoon.. Gosh!!! read more

I'm a number one fan of this Wawa location in particularly because it is new, updated, I love the cleanliness and the bathrooms! I love everything about Wawa. It beats 7eleven any day.. No offense to the 7 eleven lovers... I hate going to gas stations that have grimy bathrooms, but of course.. With this being new to this location.. It's a up to date and clean facility. I like how they positioned and arranged the area. the food area and snack bar is located in the center for everyone to notice. Best place to get your hoagies and on the run meals. Coffee is a must here! There is a vast variety to choose from. I like the Colombian, that will keep me awake all day! Right now they have the seasonal pumpkin spice coffee and it's any size for $1!!!! I also am a big fan of the Atm machine! Seriously, u don't pay any atm fee here! It saves me a bit with by having to pay the ridiculous surcharges. My favorite go to snacks here are the Voodoo chips, Cheeses baked pretzels and the freshly baked cookies!!! read more

This is my regular Wawa. I am in here 3-5 times a week getting coffee before work. I see a lot of the same customers daily. Always good service and Melissa, one of the employees is always cheerfully greeting customers at the register. There is another regular cashier and I can't think of her name who is very friendly and pleasant. Clean and well stocked. The coffee bar usually is well tended to (I've been in wawas where the coffee bar looked abused and neglected). This will continue to be my go to. I've been waiting for a new coffee flavor to come out since they discontinued Tanzania. read more

I usually love this location. However, the last two days 3/16 and 3/17 I ordered a sandwich with lettuce among other toppings. Please tell me why I can count the pieces of lettuce by hand? Best place to buy coffee! They have a great selection of coffees, including their cappuccino and Mocha Wake Up with extra caffeine. The service is great. Dylan is such a great cashier...a pleasure to see his smile and he always greets you with kindness. I can say the same for the two hardest working guys...both Shayne and Dave. Always friendly and hard at work. This location is always clean and well stocked. I couldn't believe I had to list this location because it wasn't on YELP. It's in a great location on Kempsville Road and Green Tree in Chesapeake. Can't get any better than sitting right in front of a Walmart, a Chinese food restaurant, computer repair shop, nail salon and barbershop. The list goes on. Great location for a one stop shop! read more

My friends have mixed feelings about this specific wawa, but there are no complaints coming from this girl! I have always had good customer service here, and the store is always clean and fully stocked with whatever munchies/drinks you need. This wawa is always very brightly lit outside where gas is pumped and I've come here multiple occasions in the middle of the night or very early morning and have felt very safe. Oh btw, free air for your tires ! Save your quarters people. I've received hoagies from this place on multiple occasions and they have all been made super fast and have been packed full of meat and toppings. My fave is the chicken cheesesteak (yummmm) and the breakfast hoagies! You seriously can't go wrong with a wawa hoagie and if anyone ever says they don't like wawa sandwiches, you should seriously question if they are human lol. read more

Wawa is one of my favorite place to go to for lunch or dinner! They have the best hoagies with the freshest ingredients for the best price! Every time I come here I get so overwhelmed with what kind of hoagie I want because there's an endless variety of sandwiches that you can make! If you get too overwhelmed they have pre-selected signature sandwiches that they offer. Not only are their hoagies good, so are their frozen drinks & cookies! The chocolate chip cookies come out fresh out of the oven. Each bite melts in your moth as you eat it. Whether you get a frozen smoothie, milkshake, or frappe... you will not be disappointed! My favorite frozen drink to order from here is their double chocolate chip smoothies. They smother it with tiny chocolate chips and warm chocolate drizzle. I can never get enough of it! If you're ever in a rush and want a quick meal, definitely come to Wawa. read more

I'm automatically a fan since it's a Wawa and you have to love how they open up a place. Free coffee! So I come here to take advantage of that and also because they offer some healthy options for snacks - classic apple slices and peanut butter, anyone? Gas was also super cheap here at the time... $2.69! Plus, I love that the air machine is free! Minus a star only because turning out of here is a pain. It's easy to turn into the place, but getting out - you're forced to only turn a certain way. That leads to me having to make some crazy U-turn to get out to my intended direction (away from Battlefield Blvd and towards Greenbrier Pkwy). Maybe I still need to work out the other exits from this place, but there was no such luck to be able to make a left turn out from what I saw. Still, it's Wawa! read more

This Wawa is the closest one to my house. The service can be a little slow when ordering a sandwich on my lunch break. Maybe they don't have enough people working for the afternoon rush because it's a common thing. Other than that, I don't have any issues with this location. It's clean, well stocked, and convenient to home, work, and my kids school. I recommend trying Wawa brand Ice cream it is well priced and good quality! read more

This particular Wawa handles the morning bustle like no other! The staff is so polite, and I love the cashiers. They're so bright, and it's so important to have such lovely people to greet you a good morning before you're off to make that money. Wawa is my favorite gas station in the area because of the selection inside. Those fruit cups are all yummy! In the morning, I tend to go with an original glazed donut. Those breakfast sandwiches are amazing!!! The croissant with bacon, egg, and white cheese is surprisingly soo freaking good. Their hashbrowns are fantastic as well, but if you don't like onions- it does have a strong onion taste due to the onion powder they season their hashbrowns with. Also, A+ stuff for having soy milk as a coffee creamer option in a cooled area. Take that, Starbucks. They didn't even charge me extra for the soy au lait, lool. I can't speak for lunch, but their breakfast & snack options are delicious. read more

Went here for something to eat after work, I heard they have good hoagies but must have heard wrong cause I got a cold(should have been toasted) Philly cheesesteak. The hoagie was an all around disappointment, the meat was lukewarm at best and kinda dry the cheese was still cold and not melted which tells me they didn't even bother toasting it in the first place and the bread showed no sign of toasting either further cementing that. Just a really sad sandwich and a disappointment at the end of my day. read more

Wawas are always pretty decent. I love that they are well lit, have cheap gas, and have made to order food as well as a plethora of snack items. Whenever I see a wawas and another convenient store beside it, I always go to to Wawas. This one in particular is no different. It's clean, well lit, has cheap gas, and their made to order food service is very speedy. The only possible downside is that like with most wawas, this can get pretty crowded so sometimes you have to wait to fill up your tank. read more

So glad that there's finally a WAWA close by in Chesapeake! It's at a great location on Kempsville Rd right in front of the new Walmart Neighborhood Market by Greenbrier Parkway. Recently I had to change my route to work so I passed this Wawa first. I used to go to the one off of Old Battlefield, off 168. After seeing how both are on this one seems a little disorganized every morning. It's usually slammed there's always a long line at the register. The other Wawa no matter how busy it gets always has extra cashier's once a line starts to build. Maybe this one is understaffed? Also I get the same thing every morning but for some reason it costs more at this Wawa. I can literally go order the same breakfast and pay $0.67 less off of Old Battlefield? I'm going to have to change my route again! Other than that the consistency of the food is of course good. After all it is a Wawa! read more
