But to add to everything, it was such a great experience because of their unique Filipino sweet bread with the ABU yeah that they put in all their baked goods and even their coffee! It's a great place for your "average" Coffee... And an even greater place for something unique, refreshing, and totally different in the best way! I highly recommend them and everyone working there was totally pleasant and made our coffee's perfect! Ambience was great as well very clean totally loved. It will come back again and tell all our friends about it!

I stopped by for coffee and pastries and admired the atmosphere and cultural touches throughout the shop. I came early in the morning, and you could already smell the fresh pastries and the aroma of the coffee as soon as you walked in. DRINK REVIEW Buko Pandan Latte - 4/5 Ube Velvet Latte - 4/5 Sakura (seasonal flavor) with Strawberry Foam - 5/5 I originally got this for my sister, but it ended up being my favorite. PASTRIES Pepperoni Bread - 3.5/5 - Decent. Pandesal with Spam, Egg & Cheese - 3/5 My least favorite, but still decent and kid-friendly. Ube Pandesal with Cream Cheese Filling - 4/5 My favorite pastry of the bunch. Biscoff Ensaymada - 3/5 A bit dense, but the Biscoff butter icing was good. The flavors overall were good, though I personally would've liked the coffee to be a bit stronger. The Sakura Latte definitely stood out the most for me. Overall, this is a solid Filipino coffee shop in VA Beach that's worth checking out if you're in the area.

The coffee was really good --it was fresh, smooth, and not bitter at all. I loved the aroma of their coffee. The staff was pleasant and knowledgeable, which made the experience even better. And of yeah, the orange couch. The girl who took my order was nice and patient. I ordered the fall menu matcha which had persimmon and spices and a bacon egg and cheese empanada. The space is beautiful and is the perfect environment for some peace and quiet or a nice convo if you sit outside. I was not a fan of the bacon, egg and cheese empanada as the contents tasted super processed exactly like a hot pocket. However, the matcha was incredible, great quality and I loved the flavor. I can't wait to return and try other items on the menu including some coffee!

Street parking directly out front on either side of the street. Inside is very charming in an older home with a beautiful patio outside to sit with vines growing around, charm and tons of seats inside both tables and bar. It is simplistic in decor but clean and modern. They have upped the menu and have much more food than my last visit. My friend ordered the salad and it was amazing! I was jealous! Tons of savory goodies inside like sweet potatoes and greens. I went with the bacon, egg and cheese sandwich and it's like a foot long. Absolutely huge. I couldn't eat it all and ended up taking half home, delicious and wonderful portion. Absolutely big enough to share. Staff super friendly and my oat milk latte was delicious. My boyfriend and I ordered: Hazelnut latte - Excellent flavor and notes throughout the entire beverage. He chugged this drink and he RARELY does that. Coconut latte - I really appreciated how this had true authentic flavors of coconut without the sugary additives that other shops use. This was a delicious drink! Goat Cheese Waffle - The sugar crusted waffle mixed with a runny egg and goat cheese in the middle was the best way to start my morning! I highly recommend this! Banh Mi - They were surely not shy with the protein in this sandwich and it was dripping in the delicious concoction of sauces from the chicken as well as the vegetable slaw that was added! Only downside was that the wait was over 40 minutes for both the food and lattes, in all else I may opt to come back another day it wasn't as busy.

This location has a smaller menu, but an experienced staff to recommend a good array of flavors within their drink choices. My significant other and I ordered: The Peaches seasonal latte: The freshness of the fruit shines through without overpowering the coffee. Brown Sugar Cinnamon latte: Every note balances each other out with minimal sweetness and an exaggerated flavor. I can confidently say this is one of the FEW places i've ever gotten coffee. Not the over sugared milky drink with drops of coffee flavor, but COFFEE!

Another customer in line even asked us if we've been before and told us about the fun latte flavors. My mom and I ordered a cold brew each, and it was my mom's favorite cold brew she's ever had! It was good, but it was interesting because near the end of our cups, we tried each others' drinks just for the sake of things, and they tasted different - mine tasted less coffee, whereas my mom's drink had a was stronger coffee flavor. Maybe they were from different batches? Nevertheless, cold brews were great and I would order again. Like other coffee roasters in the area, if you buy a bag of beans, you get a complimentary cold brew, coffee, latte (?)! I was tempted to purchase a bag but they are so popular and only had 1 type of bean left that I don't prefer - heh, I warned that I'm a coffee snob. Would definitely go again/ask family to purchase beans for us out of towners.

There's tons of space for remote work, community meetings, or just hanging out, and I noticed several groups using the open, airy cafe for coworking and conversation. The staff was incredibly friendly and made us feel right at home. I ordered the Monticello breakfast sandwich (with sausage, egg, cheddar, arugula, and a delicious aioli on an English muffin) and their Brown Sugar No. 05. A creative blend of brown sugar, rosemary, cinnamon, espresso, milk, and a hint of orange bitters. It was unique, refreshing, and seriously addicting! My friend went for the brown sugar latte and a blueberry bagel with cream cheese, which she loved. I was so interested in their nonprofit work, and after a quick website visit, I learned that Coalescence creates space for all kinds of community groups to gather and learn together, partnering locally and globally to lift up important work. Events, co-working, and shared community workspace are all available, with donors and volunteers supporting the mission so this resource keeps growing. If you're looking for great coffee, delicious food, or just a welcoming place to connect, this is it. Can't wait to come back!
