When we first arrived no others were inside, but after 5 or 10 minutes customers started pouring it. Luckily before the others showed up, we were able to order food with no reservation. I could overhear others ordering and received push back due to the limited choices available. I have never visited Royal Farms after 'normal' business hours and expected to get food. But on this night it was a first and they came through. I believe my husbae ordered a chicken dinner meal and I ordered a few chicken tenders. I ordered three tenders, but only should of had two. The tenders were pretty thick and filling. :) It's been about 6 weeks since I visited and I haven't returned since. I plan to check them out during the day to see what they offer during 'normal' business hours. But the location was perfect and the service was pleasant as well even at that late night hour. It was $2.25 per at the time of pumpage which is light years better than the beat down I take in PA so, Hell Yeah! on this one. Did I trip over any random tire shards, radiator parts or left behind wing nuts? No runs, no hits and no errors. Easy on/off to the highway/road of my choosing? The immediate area does not exactly strike me as a metropolis of activity but it was a real PIA to turn left on to the property and an even bigger PIA to find a pump as they were all full. Who knew I found the big hang out spot in southern Suffolk? Eventually we got our business done and got back on to 13 then hit the jug handle to head towards VA Beach. Human intervention needed? Thankfully, no. Three star gas station bliss achieved!!!

I pull up to the gas station and I notice the attendant sitting down and watching tv or her phone in the back which I don't see as a problem with because she got up as soon as she seen me step up to the window. I advised her I wanted $25 dollars on pump 17 and I put in my telephone number which lets the attendant know how many gas points I have that I could use to pay for my fuel,as soon as I gave her my credit card she swiped it ( here I am standing waiting for her to tell me how much I had available( referring to the gas points you receive for shopping at Kroger and Harris Teeter, most of us if not all know what I'm talking about ) she returned my card and my receipt without even asking me about the points. I was kind of disappointed because when I got fuel this past Monday I had .20 off so I knew I had more available to redeem. I don't want to put her name out there because I don't want to cause any problems but I want Kroger to enlighten their employees so this doesn't happen to anyone else,we all want the option to save money so that's my point I'm trying to get across. I didn't give 5 stars only because this is the first time this has happened to me!. No big deal but I just wanted to put this matter out in the open.

I stopped here to use the restroom on my way to VA Beach to visit family around 2:40pm on a Sunday…read moreafternoon. I didn't get gas but Shell was the provider. In the restroom, there were 4 urinals and 3 stalls in the mens restroom. There were 2 air dryers and 3 paper towel dispensers. 1 of the 4 sinks we're out of order. There was a paper towel in one of the urinals and the stall I went in had stuff all over the floor. They did have a baby changing station, but it was nasty! In the shopping area, they had a small selection of wine. Their beer area was somewhat scarce. It looks like it needed to be restocked. The same goes for some of the energy drinks. They had a couple thermoelectric coolers for storage of items, which was cool. They even sold slow cookers, coffee makers, GPS systems, radios, and CB radios. Fresh fruit offered was was bañanas, but I observed them getting low on stock. Their beverage stations had many choices. 1 of their two icee machines wasn't working. They have a separate area for coffee. The other side of the coffee area had hot dogs, but there wasn't many available. To the left when you walk in is Dunkin' Donuts. It looks like there was an area for another food station, but it's empty. They had a gambling station to the left by the windows as well. I observed that they sold 1lb of bacon for $10, which i thought was interesting. They had a shower area for truck drivers. Overall, this store had just about anything a person could need while traveling. Their restrooms need a more TLC. I will also admit that I was here longer than I needed to do just do this review, lol. I did get a Gatorade Fit to drink. The cashier was super friendly!

Inside you'll find an ATM and typical convenient store fare: quick bites, snacks, candy, coffee and drinks, etc. The restroom was in decent shape on the 1 occasion used over 3 years of visiting.
