If you haven't been to Café Davina yet. I almost don't want to tell you about it because it feels like one of those hidden gems you want to keep all to yourself, but it's just too good not to share. I have been going for the past year, and they are consistent every time. Recently we went as a family. The vibe was amazing as usual. Warm, welcoming, and effortlessly charming. The staff? Always incredible. They're genuinely friendly, super attentive, and their recommendations never miss. Now the FOOD. We ordered a mix of sweet and savory, and every single item delivered: The peach pecan streusel crêpe was pure comfort warm, buttery, and perfectly balanced with that sweet, nutty crunch. I usually get extra caramel drizzle. The French toast crêpe. Imagine your favorite brunch classic leveled up into something soft, rich, and absolutely indulgent. The Nutella and banana crêpe is a crowd pleaser, especially for kids. It's creamy, chocolatey, and just the right amount of sweetness. The turkey, goat cheese, and avocado panini brought the savory side. The flavor was great, and came with kettle chips. The drinks were just as fun and unique. The butterfly pea flower lemonade, was not only refreshing but visually stunning. We also got the mango soda and a blueberry soda, both bursting with flavor and kid approved. Everything about Café Davina just hits right. The food, the drinks, the atmosphere, the people. It's one of those places where you walk in and immediately feel good, and then leave already planning your next visit. We really enjoyed going to Cafe Davina. While it was slammed with people, they were efficient at taking orders and preparing the food/drinks quickly. They have indoor and outdoor seating. We loved the beautiful magnolia nook that had seating in the middle of a barrage of magnolia trees with lights all in the middle. I've included the picture of the entrance below. Don't be the first one to give less than 5 stars! Because the ambiance and friendly service truly are notable! This B&B has its cute private driveway to 2 small parking lots. There's even a photo studio in the back (not open on a Sunday). As you enter there is a huge foyer with menus on a round table, to the right is where you order and to the left are rooms of Victorian feel that are for dining ... and let's not forget to mention, the divine sunroom where even on a winter morning and gloomy gray skies and rain, the plush bench with toss pillows and cafe tables add to the charm of upscale relaxed dining. Upstairs am told are bedrooms for B&B which I'd love to try someday! There are sections of the lower level which can be explored. The food selection: crepes, paninis and other brunch items. LOVE that even their signature lattes are unique: I got the Suzy Q which is latte with vanilla and cardamom. I got a large, enough to enjoy the whole morning. For crepe I love it that they have Brie and fig jam... this time I requested that the ham and Brie crepe and typically apricot jam be replaced with my fave fig jam... they were so nice to accommodate! We really enjoyed our first visit to Cafe Davina. We were in the mood for brunch and wanted to find somewhere new to try. My friend and I both found this place on Yelp and figured it must be a sign to try it. lol I was excited seeing crepes on the menu especially unique flavored ones. I went with the Peach Pecan Streusel Crepe - delicious! Sweet but not too sweet. My Maple Iced Coffee was delicious and refreshing, as well! The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our meal time. The atmosphere is so cool. A converted, old style house. The grounds are also very pretty. Cafe Davina is such a cozy, warm, friendly place to have brunch! They have tasty almond croissants, macarons ( I tried every flavor), and crepes. The fig, prosciutto, goat crepe was delicious! Decor is beautiful. I love the art pieces and the books . The staff was so nice about all the questions I had. The macaron flavors were raspberry, vanilla, chocolate, pistachio, lemon, and caramel. This is such a cute tea cafe. It's connected to the Pinner House, studio, provisions store, and so many great photo opportunities. Service is pretty quick. It was extremely packed. I've never seen it that packed on the weekends, but Thursday morning was a hit. Overflow parking is located on Finney Ave. The french toast was yummy (definitely a crepe) . any sister enjoyed her crossaint and her latte. This is the cutest coffee shop nestled in a quaint neighborhood in Suffolk. It's a house. A beautiful house that has been redesigned. The staff are really nice and helpful. I always have to compare drink offerings to Starbucks, and they were able to give me comparable options that were on par with what I'm used to. We found seating outside under the big beautiful trees, and they brought our drinks and crepes out to us. My crepe was so tasty! I had Prosciutto, Goat Cheese, and Fig and my husband had Honey, Brie, and Fig Jam. Our drink selections were Birdseye Maple and Suzi Q. The food was great! I had an avocado toast and my friend got something else, we split it and it was really good. The cortado I got was okay, didn't wow me. I'm not sure if it was the pull or the bean. But overall it was good. The actual location is beautiful. I can understand the hype around it and the excitement, its truly really cute. I wasn't a fan of the people in the area. The service from the coffee shop workers was great, outside of that I felt like I was in Get Out lol it was odd but the shop and workers itself were really sweet. read more

Such an amazingly sweet little café on a wonderful (and recently built-up) property. Came here with a pal for breakfast and got the Suzi Q latte and prosciutto and fig crepe (with Brie instead of goat cheese). Both amazingly delicious. Service was friendly and fast! My friend had the caprese-esque crepe and a cappuccino and loved it also. We sat on the covered porch area with tons of light pouring in on a sunny morning. I would advise to get there before or close to 9am. The place was slammed by 10am (it was also a federal holiday though, too). The property itself is small and delightful, boasting of a magnolia tree with extra seating (don't miss the magic of that) and a boutique-like building selling wares on the weekends. We ended up speaking with the owner who I would classify as "dry and bothered". She wasn't overly friendly and wasn't that interested in talking. I did not expect Suffolk to have one of the most charming cafes. This place is so elegant. It's attached to a boutique B&B. They even have an outdoor provisions area with fire pits to enjoy during your stay. Their syrups are made in house. We tried the birdseye maple and suzi q signature lattés. The honey, brie, & fig jam is everything I've been searching for in a crêpe. Soft yet crunchy, the sourdough made a perfect avocado toast as well. Magnifique! I have been following Cafe Davina on Instagram since they opened and I finally found myself in Suffolk today, so I made a pit stop at Cafe Davina (CD) to check it out. Cafe Davina has a trailer next to the building in the parking lot. Quaint little trailer and you have access to the entire property to sit and enjoy your goodies. - Vibe - A special note about The Pinner House - this is a bed and breakfast property located in historic downtown Suffolk. What a gem! It's so peaceful and serene here. I felt like I was immediately transported to another time and place. They had French music playing, and I found the perfect spot in the house in the sunroom. It was both a chilly and gloomy day today, but this visit brighten it instantly! There were so many options for seating and when the weather gets warmer, I would love to sit in the many lovely spots outside. Don't miss the magnolia tree hidden patio. There's also some seating in the courtyard. Just so pretty and beautiful! - Noms & Sips - Honey brie fig crepe - A delicious blend of aforementioned ingredients. What doesn't go with cheese and fig jam? French Toast crepe with added banana - this was my favorite! It has syrup, cinnamon, delicious cream and I added the banana upon the staff member's recommendation and it was spot on! Coming from a girl who has spent most of her life in the French part of Canada, these crepes have my full endorsement. Dare I say they are the best crepes I have had in the 757?! And surprisingly, we do have quite a few options in the area! the crepes were both thin, but not too thin so that the batter is not fried to a crisp (who wants a cracker?), and the toppings were fresh and just high quality. Located inside a historic bed & breakfast, the cafe is charming and inviting. The staff was friendly and although it was an hour till closing, they didn't make you feel rushed. I ordered the Birdseye Maple latte, one of their signature drinks, with oatmilk. Maple syrup, cinnamon, and sea salt. Delicious. Unfortunately, there was nothing on their menu that I could try. They did offer gluten and dairy free options. However, I have an egg allergy. I knew going in this would be the case (it is a crepe place after all) so it didn't bother me. We've been to Cafe Davina twice now and have thoroughly enjoyed both visits! We live an hour away but when we need to be in the Suffolk area Cafe Davina is our choice for lunch! The atmosphere is incredibly charming, the paninis and crepes are so delicious and the service is always pleasant yet efficient. Today I had an iced chai tea and a ham, brie. & apricot crepe, the flavors were perfection! Hubs was happy with his mocha and panini, very tasty! Such a lovely setting both inside and outside! I rarely leave negative reviews and try to support small businesses but felt it's worth sharing our experience. Great coffee and food, employees were nice, cute place but I would never give this place my business again because of how we were treated (by potentially the owner? An older blonde woman). 2 moms and I drove ~30 minutes with our 4 young kids. We all got coffee and food. We sat inside in the back to try to talk but once the kids started running around we quickly finished and moved outside as to not disturb other customers. We went into the tree area since it's contained and no other customers were there except another mom with a toddler. Our kids were happy, squealing, chasing each other. Since the lighting was great and the kids were happy we quick took some pics on our iPhone. All 3 of us are military spouses and were just talking about not having many photos with our kids since all our husbands have been deployed or away at trainings for much of our children's lives. So yes, we tried to capture us moms and kids leaving the house and treating ourselves to coffee at a beautiful venue. A blonde lady came out to tell us we aren't allowed to do photoshoots because people pay to use the venue for professional photos. I said sorry, explained we were just using an iPhone to try to get a couple photos, but that we would not take more. After thinking about it I thought I'd go inside to suggest she post a sign if they don't allow photos to be taken on the property. We seriously had no clue it wasn't allowed! I went in to approach her which made it worse and she accused us of not buying anything and letting our kids "run wild, shaking and disturbing the tree while having a 30+ minute photoshoot". I responded we all bought food and drinks, are in leggings and workout pants with zero intent of doing a "photoshoot". Our kids ran around because they are 2-4 years old, have a 30 minute drive home and no other customers were outside anyway. I started tearing which she could see, probably because I'm 38 weeks pregnant! At that she walked away. The 4 year old did spill her milk and an employee cleaned it up, but the friend tipped extra and apologized. We tried our best to get out of the house with 3 kids and a newborn and it's sad we were treated like trash. read more

Such a delightful Bed & Breakfast. First time having avocado toast and couldn't have been more happy. It was delicious! We also tried one of their crepes with honey, cheese and fig jam - also delicious. Must try, if you're in the Suffolk area. All of the servers are also very nice and accommodating. I haven't had a crepe in so long! I don't usually go to Suffolk but wanted to try somewhere new. I messaged them beforehand to double check that they had gf options and also that their seating area allowed dogs. This is a family owned business, including the creperie and the bed and breakfast where it's located. It's easy to find and there is parking available. They were so sweet and let me know the areas I could sit at with my dog. I ordered the lemon Creme Crepe & asked if I could get a side of Ham as well as a butterfly peaflower latte. My food was fresh, the view was beautiful and relaxing. My dog even got a milk bone! The lemon curd inside the crepe was delicious and the vanilla marscapone complimented it beautifully. I wasn't sure if my latte would be sweet or not but it had the perfect amount of sweetness and not bland at all. I paid about $24 for everything. read more
