Stopped in for a late lunch with a friend. The line was short, not like my first visit!That day, at exactly noon, parking was scarce, the line & the menu was really long and I just wanted something quick so I could get back to work. I said I'd never go back, too chaotic for me but this day, our other preferred restaurants were closed for vacation. The staff was very patient with us while we viewed the menu and made our choices. We both chose the tuna salad panini with lemonade, they came with multiple side choices. The panini's were good. Not outstanding. Not bad. Just good. But how can you go wrong with simple tuna salad sandwich? We sat at a tall boy table with a view of the parking lot although there were plenty of regular tables available at that hour. It came with a side of a hot relish type spread, that was the highlight of the dish. The bread was bland and lacked any real flavor. I would give it a 2.5/5 My wife got the avocado toast with a sunny side up egg on top. She thought it was good. The egg added some depth of flavor. We both shared a cinnamon roll that was smothered in a cream cheese frosting. This was very good! My wife got a brown sugar ice coffee that was good but not great. The fresh pressed juice was very good. Definitely try out one of those. All in all, this place is solid. I think their menu is too large and as a direct result, no one single food item pops. I'd like to see an emphasis on more flavors in their foods. This has potential to be a notch or two better than it currently is. 7/10. Four stars because 3/5 is too low! read more

I ordered a vegan zohan panini in Salem NH, drove home, and then realized they gave me a vegan sandwich not served as a panini but on some soggy regular bread. I get this panini all the time and it is not served like this. My drive home is far and by the time I got home it was inedible. I contacted the manager there for a refund since it was made incorrectly and Luis the manager said it looked fine to him and did not refund me as he originally said he would. Bad customer service! I love Pressed Cafe, my food is almost always perfect, but if I can be critical with the Salem one in particular When they get the peanut butter powder shake right it's amazing a perfect balance of flavors but sometimes they hand you something that's like pure peanut butter or pure cream or the frozen consistency is off And then sometimes they do the worst thing they can do and serve you peanut butter powder milk, which is just gross for some reason without the frozen consistency. Huge fan of Pressed Cafe (my usual is in Burlington) so I was excited to try this location - and of course, I was not disappointed! I went on a Sunday for lunch and as expected, it was busy. Last Friday I decided to try this location over going back to the Awesome neat Clean Lawrence/Andover location. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This Salem location was dirty and had fluid flies flying around the baked items and restaurant.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The tables were dirty not wiped off as the counter with the napkins on it had food spilled on it too.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] As for my sandwich it was disgusting. And I LOVE this sandwich I had gotten it at the Andover/Lawrence location and it was to die for then. But here it was served on a greasy brioche roll and had chopped up over cooked dried out chunks of chicken Not even enough to cover the roll the bacon was balled up and stuck under a translucent slice of tomato one that looked like it sat in its juices while being over refrigerated it looked OLD!! The cheese was a tiny piece with a piece of onion stuck to it on the top roll and as for the crushed up kettle chips on the sandwich there were none. I never got the extras caramelized onions or ghost pepper mayo I had ordered and paid for. Yes I called the restaurant right away when I got home and noticed all this and I as directed to "James" he called himself the manager. Well I gave him a complete description of the sandwich I ordered word for word as it was described in the menu He kept asking me if I ordered a salad (when I told him it had chunked dried out over cooked chicken and NOT a Marinated chicken breast as described in the menu) I said no the sandwich he said the salads have chunked chicken. I said my sandwich is described with a marinated chicken breast and went on to give him the description AGAIN. HE at first was very apologetic and said it never should have gone out that way and asked if I wanted to have it replaced i could in no way leave to pick it up so I asked for a refund. I definitely was not going to eat this greasy dried up sandwich. Jason agreed to the refund but wanted to give me a gift card to return to try it again he asked if I could email him photos of the sandwich so he could go over it with his employees I said sure. So Jason said he would send ME an email after he gets my picture with information about the gift card. I told him to was more concerned with receiving the refund and a gift card was not needed. I sent him the pictures just as soon as I hung it with him. I sent the email 3 days in a row because I could not tell if he had received the first one. The third night get a phone call it's James he says he got the pictures (yet did NOT REPLY to me as he said he was going to). Jason begins to defend his restaurant and tells me he went over the pictures with the employees and CORPORATE!!??!!?? He said the sandwich was made properly and that he/they DEFINITELY SAW the kettle drum chips on the sandwich!!!!! AND CHOPPED CHICKEN is supposed to be on the sandwich ....i laughed and said the brown stuff you see on the sandwich is the over cooked chicken seared to a dark brown. He then SAYS in a derogatory way "Sweetheart".... I stopped him and said Excuse me my name is Diane Not sweetheart don't ever call me or any lady that again!!! He was rude he then went on to say he called the Lawrence/Andover Pressed Cafe location to find out how they served the sandwich and went on to correct them telling them they had to chop up the chicken too!! WHAT are you kidding me?? The Menu shows a whole chicken breast lol. I said well I guess you need to change the menus too because it describes a chicken breast NOT Chopped up chicken. I told him I just want my refund keep the gift card I definitely won't be returning to his location I told him he was rude to take me on the way he did. What ever happened to the customer is right?? HIS RESPONSE WAS "well some are but not all!!" Meaning me I guess. He then goes on to say he just wants to make me happy... HAPPY HE just basically took me on. I went through the drive thru after a long day and I got my order so quick nothing was missing from my order, had great customer service, loved that everything went smoothly and got my order. I ordered the best French toast here at pressed cafe, it was so delicious! You cannot beat pressed in my opinion. I'm a huge breakfast fan and have tried a lot of the local options (Frobie's, Crack'd, etc) and while I enjoy them all Pressed still stands out. The fact I can roll through the drive through in less time than you can at Starbucks or Dunks and walk away with a fresh cooked MEAL is priceless. I'm a huge fan of the egg, turkey sausage and avocado burrito and/or bowl. Its taste is dynamite - HUGE flavor - the portion is HUGE - I'm always full straight through to dinner - and the VALUE is bananas at under $12. The service is always extremely friendly and the quality is consistent. I'm not a fan of their coffee, but when it comes to food they have it ON LOCK. read more

This is a great Pressed in a great location, straight off the highway. Once you get in thier parking you'll be good to take your time reading the extensive menu, Your picks can be put into a wrap or bowl, salads are plenty big enough and the breakfast sandwiches and baked goods are always spot on. The inside can be super crowded but the staff is quick to turn the tables and plenty of outside seating exists for the summer months. The vegetarian and vegan options here are plentiful. The Vegan Ricky Martin Burrito and Dragon Bowl are favorites. The food quality is there and prices are as should be, but the substitutions will boost your check up quick.
