They were armed with information and really listened to all my concerns. Realizing that my brain was working really hard to see things and that I really did need glasses was a little overwhelming. I got a little emotional but the eye doctor was so caring and reassuring I was able to pull myself together quickly lol. The woman who helped me pick out my glasses was just a gem! She was so patient with me while I tried on half the store. I really appreciated that. Her honest opinions came from a place of making sure I got what I felt good in. I never felt rushed. I never felt uncomfortable asking a question about price or procedure. I am so happy this was the vision care center I chose especially for a looonnnng overdue visit. I also want to shout out that the Dr. assistant was so great too! I was really in awe of the pictures of my eyes and he took time to review and break down what I was seeing and seemed happy to share. Extremely Disappointing Experience…read more I took my daughter here for a routine eye exam, expecting a simple checkup. Instead, the doctor told her that he thought her retina was going to detach and that she could potentially go blind over the weekend. He delivered this information directly in front of her, without considering the impact it would have on a child. My daughter became so frightened that she had an anxiety/panic attack right there in the office. The experience has since left her with a serious fear of eye doctors. We immediately sought a second opinion from a specialist, who determined that what the doctor had seen was simply a birthmark on her eye and that there was nothing wrong with her. My issue is not that the doctor was concerned or wanted to be cautious. My issue is how the information was communicated and the lack of bedside manner, especially with a child sitting right there. There was no reason to deliver such frightening information to her in that manner before the diagnosis had been confirmed. We will never return, and I would especially not recommend this office for children. The way a doctor communicates with a child matters, and this experience has had a lasting impact on my daughter

Dr Francis Leung has been my optometrist for years now and she's here only on Mondays. That's why I'm here at this location for my annual eye exam. It works perfectly well for me as it's closer to home. It's smaller and less busier office with not a lot eyewear options (they didn't have Oakleys) than the main office at Sierra College Boulevard. Same quality of care as the main location. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Dr Leung was very informative as usual. I wasn't offered a beverage here but that's just me nitpicking.

I love that for $30 more, they have retinal imagining instead of dilating your eyes and having the scary thing touch your eye (freaks me out). His pricing is very fair without insurance. $120 for your standard evaluations. In addition, Dr. Louie's place has advanced machines to test everything! Never have I been tested like that at Kaiser. Kaiser charges you almost $200 and doesn't fully check everything, and rushes you in a 10 min time span. If you were to have a condition, he'd definitely catch it. I believe he truly loves to help people and he is good at what he does.

That message alone speaks volumes to me, especially after the way my concerns were originally dismissed. My original complaint was that I felt laughed at, mocked, dismissed, and disrespected throughout my medical exam while repeatedly expressing discomfort. Instead of addressing those concerns professionally at the time, the response I received focused more on defending the doctor and implying I overreacted. The fact that the office recently reached out to inform me he is no longer there only reinforces that what I experienced was real and not simply imagined or exaggerated. Since then, I found an amazing new eye doctor, My New Eye Doctor with Dr. Christine Snow, O.D. The difference has been night and day. The office is professional, clean, kind, patient, understanding, and respectful. Come to find out, my eyesight is still very good. I wear simple reading glasses that can even be purchased at a regular store. Yet during my appointment at Vista Point, I was made to feel as though my vision was terrible or abnormal for my age. People deserve to feel respected, safe, and taken seriously during a medical appointment.

There was zero care on how my family member felt and if adjustments needed to be made. My family member went home to decide if they could live with the new glasses. It was determined that a slight adjustment was needed. Upon calling to reschedule they were very irritated with the request on the phone. Once a time was scheduled to go into the office, the office manager was very rude. My family member felt like they had been deemed a "problem customer" when she had checked in and how they were speaking to them. In this interaction the manager had conveyed that something was going on in THEIR home life that was potentially causing their horrible bedside manner. Long story short my family member has moved on to a more caring/customer service based business and will NEVER BE BACK. This family member actually gave the actual doctor great praise BUT the office staff and office manager were extremely rude. This poor doctor/business owner is losing business. Very sad.

I booked appointment with Dr Gollender because of generally positive reviews. Although he is knowledgeable and has been practicing for many years, I found Dr Gollender to be impatient , condescending , and made a few remarks that left me feeling uncomfortable! I will not be returning to this Office again!!!
