I was becoming irritated by the lack of customer service/empathy and when I called to make my annual appointment, and I was the fifth person in line, I just hung up and made a decision to find somewhere new. I found Roseville Vision Center and went for my appnt last week. It was quiet. There was not a sea of people waiting and the employees were kind and helpful. The doctor I saw was amazing as well. He took quite a while with me and explained many issues I was having that no one previously brought to my attention. He corrected my prescription for my contacts and gave me some other helpful hints about issues I was having. Roseville Vision Center was night and day from where I had been going. I would recommend them to anyone.

I walked in not really knowing what to expect so I was a little anxious but everyone I talked to really made me feel comfortable. They were armed with information and really listened to all my concerns. Realizing that my brain was working really hard to see things and that I really did need glasses was a little overwhelming. I got a little emotional but the eye doctor was so caring and reassuring I was able to pull myself together quickly lol. The woman who helped me pick out my glasses was just a gem! She was so patient with me while I tried on half the store. I really appreciated that. Her honest opinions came from a place of making sure I got what I felt good in. I never felt rushed. I never felt uncomfortable asking a question about price or procedure. I am so happy this was the vision care center I chose especially for a looonnnng overdue visit. I also want to shout out that the Dr. assistant was so great too! I was really in awe of the pictures of my eyes and he took time to review and break down what I was seeing and seemed happy to share. Although he is knowledgeable and has been practicing for many years, I found Dr Gollender to be impatient , condescending , and made a few remarks that left me feeling uncomfortable! I'm finding that one star reviews are not a one off thing so I feel the people of Yelp need to hear a recent interaction. (This family member lives in Sun City which is right across the street. Even though this is an older community and they don't use social media THEY still all talk. Not smart regarding their staff and the longevity of this business) When my family member went in to pick up their new glasses/prescription the interaction was very quick. There was zero care on how my family member felt and if adjustments needed to be made. My family member went home to decide if they could live with the new glasses. It was determined that a slight adjustment was needed. Upon calling to reschedule they were very irritated with the request on the phone. Once a time was scheduled to go into the office, the office manager was very rude. My family member felt like they had been deemed a "problem customer" when she had checked in and how they were speaking to them. In this interaction the manager had conveyed that something was going on in THEIR home life that was potentially causing their horrible bedside manner. Long story short my family member has moved on to a more caring/customer service based business and will NEVER BE BACK. This family member actually gave the actual doctor great praise BUT the office staff and office manager were extremely rude. This poor doctor/business owner is losing business. Very sad.

Dr Francis Leung has been my optometrist for years now and she's here only on Mondays. That's why I'm here at this location for my annual eye exam. It works perfectly well for me as it's closer to home. It's smaller and less busier office with not a lot eyewear options (they didn't have Oakleys) than the main office at Sierra College Boulevard. Same quality of care as the main location. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Dr Leung was very informative as usual. I wasn't offered a beverage here but that's just me nitpicking.

I love that for $30 more, they have retinal imagining instead of dilating your eyes and having the scary thing touch your eye (freaks me out). His pricing is very fair without insurance. $120 for your standard evaluations. In addition, Dr. Louie's place has advanced machines to test everything! Never have I been tested like that at Kaiser. Kaiser charges you almost $200 and doesn't fully check everything, and rushes you in a 10 min time span. If you were to have a condition, he'd definitely catch it. I believe he truly loves to help people and he is good at what he does.
