I found Roseville Vision Center and went for my appnt last week. It was quiet. There was not a sea of people waiting and the employees were kind and helpful. The doctor I saw was amazing as well. He took quite a while with me and explained many issues I was having that no one previously brought to my attention. He corrected my prescription for my contacts and gave me some other helpful hints about issues I was having. Roseville Vision Center was night and day from where I had been going. I have purchased two pairs of RX glasses here over the past year and I am a very happy customer. The employees are all super kind and professional and knowledgeable. They helped sort out my vision insurance also. They have an extensive selection of frames - designer and not designer. The process is smooth and easy. Both pairs of my glasses took about two weeks to be ready. I like that they text you updates and it's just so simple to go in and pick up your glasses. Both pairs were pefect right when they arrived. I would def recommend coming here!

The receptionist could care less being there, the doctor didn't listen when I kept saying everything was blurry on my bi- focal (i don't have any issues seeing up close) and even suggested to me I shouldn't use my phone as much because it's just me not adjusting to her prescription. I have a job that requires use of a cell phone, text messages, and emails. That response was a very out-of-touch response. During the exam, she kept asking me which slide was clearer but nothing was changing in the machine. When I commented I can't tell the difference, she got agitated with me and just kept repeating, slide 1 or 2. i have had exams in the past, and something always clicks in the machine so it's clear difference between slides but nothing was happening with this machine. I finally did my best to answer but I think I ended up undermining myself. I was then fitted with a contact lens, given a couple of samples but then told, save the last one for the doctor. So I could wear them 3 days to see if they worked. It gave me a terrible headache and only figured out the adjustment period is actually three weeks (AI taught me that, not the doctor). I paid $150 in contact exam, fitting, and whatever else fees and none of that was discussed with me ahead of time. When I called back to ask questions I was brushed off being told the doctor will explain that to you next time. I don't usually take time to write reviews because I don't honestly think these companies care. I am just so tired Of having to over-advocate for myself every time I go to a doctor because their boredom/arrogance keeps getting in the way.

The fact that the office recently reached out to inform me he is no longer there only reinforces that what I experienced was real and not simply imagined or exaggerated. Since then, I found an amazing new eye doctor, My New Eye Doctor with Dr. Christine Snow, O.D. The difference has been night and day. The office is professional, clean, kind, patient, understanding, and respectful. Come to find out, my eyesight is still very good. I wear simple reading glasses that can even be purchased at a regular store. Yet during my appointment at Vista Point, I was made to feel as though my vision was terrible or abnormal for my age. People deserve to feel respected, safe, and taken seriously during a medical appointment.

When it was time for me to come in for my annual visit, the staff had taken it upon themselves to place me with another doctor. The doctor was courteous and caring, however after reading his bio and reviews on Yelp, I did not feel he was a good fit. When it was time for my next eye exam, I requested 2 other doctors whose's bio seemed more in line with what I needed. I got an appointment, but several days later an office person called me up and questioned me about my request. Having never seen me, she started diagnosing me over the phone telling me I didn't need to see the doctor I had chosen. Since when does an office staff person have the medical qualifications to diagnose a patient? I had to go over to the Retina Center in Roseville to get my medical charts, and bring them over to Medical Vision Technology for them to look at. (By the way, when I brought over the report, a front desk staff person started reading the materials.). What has happened to patient, doctor confidentiality!! Even when I came in for my eye exam, the technician who tested me started diagnosing me. What she was saying was completely off from the issues that I have. Because the doctor I did end up with was thorough and understood my issues, I've decided to give Medical Vision Tech. another chance. Still, the office staff and people who set up appointments need some serious training on what is medically appropriate behavior towards patients.

I started calling around and the first three businesses I called were short and rude on the phone. I'm not familiar with the process and because of that some of the folks answering phones were just being flat out rude. I called Americas Best and the lady that answered the phone was so nice, extremely helpful and explained everything- how the process goes and how long it takes and what to expect from insurance. They also had immediate availability to see me which no one else did. From the second I walked in I felt welcome and comfortable. I was assisted right away. There were three ladies that were extremely helpful in picking out frames since I never can decide for myself. They have me a great deal on designer Jimmy Choo frames that I love. I'm definitely sticking with them because they made everything so easy. Amazing customer service.
