Exam, excellent. Frame & lens are very pricey if you don't have insurance and they offer very few payment options.

Following each surgery, she experienced severe pain and flashing lights--symptoms that should have warranted prompt medical attention. We called their office as many as 25 times in a single day, with no one answering the phone. We left multiple urgent messages requesting a return call, but received no response. We even went to their office in person, desperately seeking help for her pain, and still could not get the care she needed. Once the surgeon completes the procedure, he is impossible to reach. All postoperative care is handled by an in-house optometrist who is so overbooked that getting an appointment is extremely difficult. Even when you manage to see her, she is not an ophthalmologist, which limits the level of medical and surgical care she can provide. What is most disturbing is the complete lack of access to medical care when a patient experiences potentially serious complications following eye surgery. An 83-year-old patient should never have to endure severe pain and frightening visual symptoms while her family makes dozens of unanswered phone calls and pleads for help in person. Our experience with this practice's postoperative care not good. I would strongly caution anyone considering cataract surgery here to ask exactly who will be available if complications arise, how emergencies are handled, and whether the surgeon will actually be accessible after surgery.

I thought I'd provide my 2 cents of opinion after 10 years of Photorefractive keratectomy (PRK)…read moresurgery performed by Dr. Meister. My vision was horrible, considered legally-blind. I could only see clearly if you put your face up against mine. That's how bad! My vision was so poor that I wasn't eligible to have Lasix surgery. PRK surgery has afforded me to see without glasses or contact lenses. The recovery is slower than Lasix, but the gift of clear vision each week was a blessing provided by the skilled-hands of a talented surgeon. I was treated with respect & the team was supportive with my questions & concerns. Now, that I'm reaching middle-age, I'm thinking of a "touch-up" as typing this review is signaling my old-eyes may need a bit freshening!

It seems that previous yelpers rating Dr. Meister have been having trouble with their own record…read morekeeping and their own insurance carriers and are blaming him and his staff. That being said, here is MY experience with Dr. Meister: My vision was so bad I could not read large print 3 inches from my face without glasses or contact lenses. My optometrist recommended Dr. Meister so I went for a consult. The staff were so friendly and calming. (I was terrified because I am a wuss when it comes to my eyes or my teeth.) They reassured me that I would be adequately sedated during the procedure. The staff covered all of my questions and explained everything to me so there was no room for error on the day of. The front desk staff was very detailed and specific about what paperwork I needed to have filled out. They were also great when I called them and admitted I had lost my copy so they sent me over a new one. Gasp.. attitude free! Day of surgery: I went in and the super friendly staff made sure my paperwork was signed and gave me my first sedation pill. I couldn't stop fidgeting with nerves so they gave me a little extra to calm me. Once I was taken back into their surgical prep area I was still very nervous but the staff were comforting and supportive. When it was my time I went in, laid down and got my numbing drops. Again the surgical staff were extremely understanding of my terror. They began to walk me through what they were going to do so I stopped them. I let them know that details freak me out so if they could just tell me when I need to move, be still or any other instruction they needed me to follow and leave out all the details it would be better for all of us. They laughed and it wasn't a problem. The entire procedure took approximately 10 minutes. I walked outside and could immediately see but not 100% clearly. By my next day appointment my vision was 20/20 and now that it has been over a month I am operating better at 20/15. Dr. Meister and his staff completely changed my life (I can see street signs and don't pass dirt driveways in the dark twice before finding them now!) and my mothers life before me 10 years ago when the procedures were less advanced. I would recommend this office for your lasik procedures every time. Thanks guys!!

His care will go a long way to me feeling better at the end of the day. Staff was very helpful in picking a frame and did a very good job of grabbing a few options for me to try. I had to repeatedly ask questions on my own and eventually had to go to the front desk for help. Another staff member tried to assist me, but I felt this should have been handled by the optician. I even requested a different optician, but none were available, so I was sent back to Michelle, which made the interaction uncomfortable. After my visit, I completed a survey and requested follow-up. The office manager did call me, but no resolution was offered. Two months later, my glasses became scratched. When I contacted the office, I was told I had declined a warranty. However, this was never explained to me during my visit, and I did not sign or receive any documentation showing that I declined it. Overall, I felt unsupported throughout the entire process and that important information was not communicated to me. I would not return to this location.

It was a fantastic experience and will go back here anytime I need to get more glasses. By far my favorite interactions was with Dani, she had such an eye for what glasses would work for me and her straight forward opinions. I never thought I'd go for the style of glasses I did but I've gotten compliments and they're awesome. 100% would go back to Dani for more glasses.

And I'm a bit more alternative and usually have a black rectangle frame, but she said the best looking ones, the ones that worked with my skin tone, the one that worked with my nose, were the neutral pinkish square frames... after so much consideration, she sold me on them, a brand new look and everything. I had repeatedly asked for blue light filter protection, but still had to call after I left to make sure they had applied this since they never confirmed it with me. Fast forward two weeks and I'm two days away from pick up, I'm ready! I get a call, same person, she can't do the prescription, the lenses and the frames just won't work, they're basically useless. Tells me to come in and we can pick out something else.. at this point though I'm just not coming back. Horrible experience. TLDR; know what you want or they will tell you and still not be able to deliver
