I was involved in a rear-end accident on 5/16/18 and took my car to Precision Auto Body. I was told that the car would be ready on 6/22/18. The original estimate was around 10k but quickly rose after multiple supplements bringing the total cost of repair to around 19k, exceeding the value of the car. I was kept out of the loop and extremely upset that my car was not being totaled. I also had to constinatly call the body shop to check up on my car status. June 22nd arrived and the car was still weeks away from being ready. Moving into July I was still left without information or a status update for my car. When August arrived and they finally called saying it would be ready in a week on the Friday of 8/10/18. Prior to Friday I called every day to make sure the car would be ready on that day, and they said everything was on schedule. When Friday finally came, after waiting 3 months, I called and they had said that the car might not be ready. The rental car place closes at 6 and so does the body shop. After getting off work I had to call the body shop multiple times asking them to please tell me if I can come pick up the car because I need to drop off the rental car. They said they would and that the car is ready but they were waiting on payment. At around 5:30 after not hearing anything I called them and they said it was ready they received payment. I am very upset that they had not called me even though I asked them too and they said they would. Not only did they not inform me, they turned their office phone off at around 5:45 even though they close at 6. I was constantly calling them to try and tell them that I was 5 minutes away, but I only got a voicemail box. I finally got a hold of them and went to pick up my car. After inspecting the car I noticed they had not buffed out a scratch on the side of the car that they said they would take care of, so I had to politely ask them to buff the scratch out. They did and the car looks great and I was finally able to drice my car home after 3 months for a simple rear-end accident with bumper damage. On my way home I started hearing a grinding and scrapping noise coming from the back left tire. I am now left with a car that I cannot drive because I do not know what the problem is and do not want to damage it further. I also do not have a rental car and no way to get to and from work. I now have to coordinate with Precision Auto Body to come pick up my car, find out what the problem is, and figure out how long this repair will take. I am extremely dissatisfied, upset, and annoyed with this entire process and situation. The car should have been test driven or something before being discharged. The fact that I had to wait 3 months for my car only to have it towed back because it is not fixed properly is extremely frustrating and I expect more from a body shop of this caliber. I took my car to this body shop because it was recommended by my BMW dealer and other people because they do a good job. I am extremely dissatisfied with the time taken, the customer support, and repair. I have been extremely patient and respectful through this frustrsting time. I woud not recommend this body shop to anyone. The turnaround time on my car was ridiculous and the fact that I have to take it back to get fixed is unacceptable. This entire ordeal has been an extremely large inconvenience because now I am unable to proceed with my life. I do not have a car to get to and from work, and now I have a car that is worth less than the amount it costed to repair it. read more

The receptionist was very friendly and suggested I bring my daughter's car in for a quote on the same day. My daughter has a new BMW and someone/something made a scratch on the side of it. The employees at Precision were very friendly. I was introduced to Juan, who was extremely professional, knowledgeable, and also very friendly. He recommended the materials he would need to remove the scratch. He removed it in less than a few minutes and didn't charge me a dime!!! What I really appreciated about Juan was his honesty and transparency. He could've told me anything and I would've probably believed him, but he didn't take advantage of my naiveness, he was totally honest. After I picked up my car, I noticed sensors were not working so I drove back to the shop . Ray was there working. I told about my problem and he walked out to my car and checked right away. The staff here are pretty nice, they have Kuerig coffee machine & they give you free hand sanitizer. Only time I could drop the car off was on a Friday (insurance co said go anytime I want). The estimator encouraged that I bring the vehicle back on Monday because the insurance company will bitch about the extra 2 days of rental they need to give me. He took the car anyway because he understood my situation. Why am I giving this place a 1.5?? Well, the body work was fine and all but they did work on the EXTERIOR of my car. I wasn't the one who picked up my car but when I got it back.. my stereo system was messed with??? Yes, they clean every single vehicle and they turned my dirty interior into a clean one but WTF! It took forever before I actually got it functioning again. and part of the stereo was sticking out which didn't even need to be touched.. if you're just cleaning it!!! -- YOU SHOULD NOT COME HERE IF YOU HAVE A STEREO INSTALLED. We were rear ended in the 101 freeway. We called our dealer and were referred to Precision Auto Body. They are a Mercedes approved repair shop. They are also approved by Porsche and BMW . Our Mercedes was repaired to showroom condition. Absolutely excellent work. The nice part about working with this shop is their great communication. Needed to have my bumper replaced after getting rear ended. Took 3 weeks to get an appointment. Sent them the repair estimate from my insurance and was told they will order the bumper for my car already so when I bring my car in in 3 weeks, the part will be ready since my insurance will only pay for a rental car for 2 weeks. 2 weeks after I brought my car in, I had to call them to get any kind of update about my car, and was told the bumper has not arrived yet and to call again in a few days. Each time I called, I kept being told they are "still working on it". Finally, 1 month later I called them and was suddenly told the person who was in charge of my car apparently left his 2 week notice and they had to scramble and find someone else to fix my car. I finally got my car back after a month. Car repair was done well and my car looked as good as new, but I had to pay Enterprise about $200 for the extra 2 weeks of car rental when I was to not supposed to pay anything. The least they could have done is call the customer and give updates if they could not uphold their 2 week estimate... read more

In fact, this is the third time I've needed their service and even in the most difficult times they have come through and helped me Juan Ramirez helped me the first two times and he did a great job. He even had my whole car polished including the headlight covers and really made it look great. The receptionist was helpful and friendly. They do really high quality work. Service is a different matter. I brought my car in and was told it would be 5 to 7 business days. That seemed lengthy to begin with since it was not that big of a repair. It took them 10 business days to complete the work. My car has been in this shop before and this is typical for them. Nor are they good at keeping the customer updated. When I called them my service advisor was never available to answer the phone and was very slow to respond to messages. After posting my negative review, I got a call from Bill, the senior manager who carefully explained the reasons and causes for each of the delays, and took accountability for their part in it while also pointing out (correctly) that the insurance company and appraisal company were frequently the source of the problem. Precision also reimbursed me for the extra rental car fees I incurred, and even for the broken cup holder. This level of attention and communication makes all the difference between an angry customer and a happy one. I truly appreciated Bill making me aware of why such a simple repair took longer than expected, and especially for owning up to where they made mistakes and reimbursing me for my additional costs.
