They have so many salt bread flavours and I wanted to try them all. We ended up getting the strawberry and tiramisu. The cream was light and not overly sweet. I was expecting the bread to be a little softer but it has more of a firm, chewy texture. They have bundle deal which I noticed too late . It's a better value if you get 4 or 6 instead of buying them individually. Their latte was also really smooth and easy to drink. The roast wasn't too bitter, which made it a nice pairing with the sweet buns.

Today, I tried their Soboro Golden Crumble. In Korean, it's called "맘모스빵" (Mammoth bread). It traditionally comes with nuts, especially walnuts, so I was a little disappointed that there weren't any nuts in this version. Still, it was really good! My go-to coffee at Cafe Episode is their Iced Einspänner. Unfortunately, today's coffee wasn't as strong as usual and tasted a little watery. It was disappointing. I've come here with a girlfriend for a chat, on a date with my husband, and even by myself with a book to read. It has such a calm and cozy atmosphere, and the workers are always so kind and welcoming. It's definitely a place I enjoy coming back to!

Still grieving over having missed out on the Mango Sticky Rice cube croissant! Recently they came out with a Vegan Creme Brulee croissant as well as a Vegan Bubble Tea Cube Croissant. This was too much. I couldn't take it anymore. It was time to get back to my favourite bakery and try these croissants! Got there around 8:50am on a Saturday morning about one day before the last day of their Bubble Tea Cube Croissant which was a limited time creation for the Vancouver Croissant Crawl. Sooo creative. It was filled with black tea cream and brown sugar caramel, dipped in white chocolate and topped with tea whip, more caramel and brown sugar boba. There was a small little straw sticking out the top to give it that whimsical bubble tea look. The Creme Brulee Croissant. I had a sneaking suspicion that by the time I brought this home and by the time both my husband and daughter were up, and ready to partake in eating this one with me, the hard sugar topping would no longer be hard. Unfortunately, I was right about this. The sugar had gone soft by the time we sat down to have this. Not any fault of the bakery though. As I said, I had my suspicions about this. I have made creme brulee myself, a number of times over the years. There was one time I made it and took it over to a friend's home, and by the time we sat down to eat it, the sugar had gone soft. So this is why I suspected that the sugar on the Creme Brulee croissant would also be soft by the time my family was ready to eat. We tried torching it again but to no avail. So then we added a bit more sugar and then torched it again. The new layer of sugar helped, and hardened after we torched it. Mmmm...so yummy! I loved the Creme part of it. Even without the hard layer of sugar on top, this croissant was still divine. Our daughter preferred the Bubble Tea Cube Croissant but personally I preferred this Creme Brulee Croissant. Wish they would keep this croissant around forever. I'd love to go back and eat it fresh in the store next time!

Would've been cooler if they put a MB logo instead, but all good. The only complaint is that the car themed couches and regular couches are at different heights. The outside was like a croissant, flakey and buttery and paired with a delicious tiramisu custard on the inside. We also grabbed a scone for our walk home (which turned out to be delicious as well). The shop also sells local artisanal goods such as chocolate, sauces, and even loaves of bread. It's nice to gander around while waiting for your order. We enjoyed our coffee on the walk back home. The coffee is quite strong, which would be optimal for most coffee lovers. The flavour was deep and chocolate-y, but not bitter at all.
