Recently got a 1991 964 911 and was looking to get better performance out of the AC. I ordered a new receiver dryer from Griffith, made an appointment with Cliff and I got in 2 weeks later. I dropped my car off with Cliff at 8am and got a call back at 11:30am that same day with the diagnostic. Cliff was very thorough with the follow up call, Eric is extremely knowledgeable and went above and beyond with checking on any other issues I was having. The CCU/HVAC on these older 911's are terrible but my AC now blows noticeably cooler/colder and gets to 55 degrees. Before it was struggling to do 70 degrees and only felt like it was blowing air. I needed a major service n my 2017 911 GTS. I called PPM for a quote and they emailed a very detailed, reasonable quote that covered everything we discussed on the phone. I scheduled the service and when I dropped the car off they were very busy (think that is always the case!) and the lot was full of Porsche's. I knew it was a big job that involved removing the rear bumper cover, changing spark plugs, engine air filters and and the serpentine belt. We talked about how long it would take and I was surprised by how quickly they promised it. They delivered it on time at the quoted price. They quoted me $450 for a simple oil change on my BMW X5. I went to the dealership and got it done for $175 instead. When I asked PPM what services would be done for the $450 price, they didn't list anything more than the dealership does. This is an incredible shop. They have honest prices and don't up-charge for simple OEM/standard after-market parts like another Bay Area indy shop I got a quote from. They even let me bring some of my own parts I ordered from Pelican Parts. PPM also helped me navigate smog right after I bought my 911. There's a reason PPM gets 5 stars. Obviously, they know their Porsches. But it's their service that's so stellar. I brought my Boxster S in because the linkage that connects the shifter cable to the transmission popped off, locking me in 3rd gear. Not pleasant. Nursed it down to the shop and they diagnosed and replaced the linkage. They test drove it and pronounced it el perfecto. So I went down and got the car and within a half mile the exact same thing occurred, this time on a hill at a light. For those of you with manual transmissions, you'll know that starting uphill in third isn't happy times for your clutch or engine. So, went directly back and they went to work again. That night the co-owner called me and expressed his extreme concern that they'd thought they'd fixed the problem and it had promptly failed. He took complete ownership of the problem, in a way that you will NOT find at a regular dealership. Refunded the repair cost and promised me it would be taken care of completely. They ordered a new linkage from Germany to ensure it was perfect, installed it, double and triple checked the alignment after drives and released it to me today. The transmission now shifts fantastically and has been rock solid in the admittedly short time I've had it back. What really struck me is how Erik took it so much to heart that their repair hadn't held up. Clearly perfection is their target and it was an affront to his personal ethos that my car's repair hadn't hit that level. Seriously, if you drive a Porsche, you need to bring it to PPM. read more

I've been meaning to write this review for over a year, but I can't say enough good things about Eric and his team. Very professional and a ton of Porsche knowledge in his team. When I bought my 2008 911 CS the previous owner and his mechanic could not trouble shoot a battery recharging/starter issue. After purchasing and taking to Eric he diagnosed the issue once I told him the year and symptoms and of course he was correct after examining the car. They flushed the cooling system, changed my transmission fluid and flush, and rear differential fluid in my 335i. Also adivised me on what I need to do next, and what can wait. They have worked on my 08 Boxster and my 2012.5 Carrera S Cab 991.1 and every time the service quality is excellent, responsiveness and overall support is best I've ever had. And on that 991 they recently swapped out the lower control arms to get me more negative camber and gave it a proper Autocross setup. Car feels so dialed in. [Time for another review - the BEST CARE for the BEST CAR!] Eric and his team, Gabe and Miguel, are HIGHLY-SKILLED IN PORSCHES! Brought in my 1987 3.2 Carrera last month for diagnosis of a persistent fuel vapor/leak, a new clutch and a few other items. PPM diagnosed the leak to when the car was shot a few years ago with an overspray/sealant by a body shop. The body shop had switched the fuel/expansion tank lines with the window and H5/lights water spray lines. Eric and his team discovered the well-hidden fatal error and corrected it, avoiding a fire and/or hydrolock, which may well have ended the life of the car, which has a high amount of sentimental value. I can now drive without worry and quite honestly, I can now sleep well at night!! PPM installed a new Sachs clutch kit and off the top of his head, Eric easily listed specifications and reasons why this particular clutch installation was best over other options. Yes, perhaps the forgiving G50 transmission but it is a pleasure to drive/shift! Under the excellent care of Eric and his team, very good rates along with an extreme amount of customer goodwill, the car ALWAYS runs like a top, is finely tuned and a dream to own and drive! PPM treat customers' cars as their own - with a great deal of care. Their shop looks like a concours event. Eric will give you numerous options from retaining stock status to building a race car - and he and his team have a great amount of history with all. Brought our 1995 Porsche 993 to Pacific Power Motorsports after meeting one of the co-owners Jeff (and fellow 993 owner) at PCA event. The timing was great as I'd been looking for a Porsche only shop for a while and the car happened to need an alignment. My understanding is they are one of the only shops with the equipment to do a proper alignment on the 993 which has a 4-link suspension. Sweet. The experience at PPM was by far the best I've had with any repair shop. Eric is professional, friendly, and knowledgable. He also gave me timely updates and thoroughly explained the work they were doing. You can tell he really knows his you-know-what and the customer service is about as good as it gets. As previously mentioned, the price was very reasonable. Eric was even able to get me a pair of control arms for roughly 50% off retail and passed along the savings to me (they are normally $550+ each). Who does that?! Even though I live 35 mins away from the shop, the trip is well worth it knowing that both the car and I are in excellent hands. read more

I took my '71 914-6 in to Eric at PPM because after a full restoration down in Southern California I stated to experience an engine miss that seemed to be electrical in nature. Eric, Mike and Gabe checked out my car and replaced the coil wire. The issue was the coil wire was not snugly seating into the coil. I picked the car up and it runs great again. Sure, not a big task, granted. But Eric knew I had a trip planned to LA with the car on the 18th and he squeezed me in to address that issue. This is the best Porsche repair shop I've found in the area. They are very easy to work with unlike a lot of other shops. They always have a variety of Porsches in the shop from race cars to old classics. I've had some regular services done here on my 911 as well as a complete alignment job and some suspension upgrades. I also had some transmission fixes done as well as some fuel system repairs All the work was done perfectly and they always take the time to discuss everything about the car in detail. I've been really happy with how they have taken such great care of my car. They really show the desire to get the job done right the first time.
