Kristen, the receptionist was absolutely lovely, great costomer service and very friendly, (she responded to a message I left on Yelp and was very responsive, helpful and knowledgeable) The guys who worked on my bike were pros and made me feel relaxed and reassured as to what the heck was wrong with my bike And how to fix it. The answer was everything basically, lol. I came in with a 2006 Suzuki GSXR 1000 with running issues, It had just hit hit 26,000 MI so needed a valve adjustment. Oil change, Cam chain tensioner, brake fluid flush, radiator flush, battery, spark plugs (which I tried to do by myself but failed).. and they said that my air filter was by far the dirtiest air filter they've ever seen by far... They got everything done perfectly and it feels like a new bike! It wasn't cheap but you get what you pay for, and it was done right and they were super cool! I highly recommend this Business as I plan to be a regular customer there myself.

Tire and Wheel Warranty…read more When I arrived to pick up my 2026 911 Carrera, the finance manager spoke to me about purchasing the tire and wheel warranty package. He mentioned that it was the only warranty package that must be purchased before leaving the dealership. I can understand why. About four months after taking delivery of my car, the left rear tire kept losing air, very slowly. I searched for a puncture, but could not find one. At five months, I got curb rash on my right front wheel...ugh. Caner had contacted me for a six-month follow-up, and I mentioned both issues. It was during that conversation that he asked if I'd like a service tech to contact me. That is when I spoke to Tim Wong over the phone. We made an appointment for the very next day, and I drove to the dealership. After filling out some paperwork, Tim let me know that my warranty included a loaner car, and he offered me a new Macan. While in the waiting room, I heard the receptionist offer local customers Uber service to their homes and back. I dropped off my 911 on Thursday, and it was ready for pickup on the following Tuesday. I mentioned to Tim that I had an appointment on Monday, so he kindly arranged my pickup for the following day. The man who serviced my car, Bowdoin, sent me a video of the car's inspection via Tim's email. He was very thorough and friendly in his assessment. Caner was off that day, so he arranged for Hart to go over some of the PCM questions I had. He answered both and was engaging, friendly, and professional. My left rear tire had a nail, which caused a slow leak. The tire was replaced. The curb rash on my right front rim was fixed as well. I've come to realize that a brand is only as good as the people who represent that brand. So many of my friends have said, "Yeah, they should do that since it's a Porsche and the amount you have to pay for them!" In theory, that makes sense. Yet I've had horrible encounters at Porsche Fremont, and it is the same ownership as Walnut Creek Porsche, Fletcher Jones. Two opposed levels of service. My friend, who has owned 14 911s, has his cars serviced at Monterey Porsche, and his stories are horrible. This is not just Porsche, but any brand, Sony, Canon, etc. These are the individuals I have encountered at Walnut Creek Porsche, and I could not be more pleased with the levels of service I have received. When I got to the dealership he introduced me to someone on his team to finish the paperwork and delivery, but he was still around through the whole thing. The next day he called me himself. Just to ask if I was happy with the car and if I had any questions. That kind of follow up isn't something you see much anymore. If you want someone who actually communicates and follows through, I'd recommend Mike.

I've met everyone that works there and they're all wonderful. Here's the part that says it all: this shop is a good drive from me, and I've already gone back there for a manufacturer recommended service. Voluntarily and with a smile. I passed probably a dozen other shops on the way, and I didn't even glance at them, not even the one that's literally 3 minutes from my home. To be honest, if I were to move, I would drive up to 2 hours away to see them. When you find people you trust with your car, you don't let a little geography get in the way. I know you're probably skeptical of a 5-star review -- as you should be -- but PPM is such an exceptional repair and performance shop, and it's such a pleasure to deal with them, that there's no reason to give them anything less than a perfect score. Don't take my word for it, trust them with your car and see for yourself! I'm a pretty tough judge of auto repair shops and I give PPM the highest marks across the board. PPM has serviced several cars of mine over the years, including Porsche, Mini, VW, BMW and Land Rover road cars, a track-prepared Porsche 993 and a race car (also Porsche). I've never had a negative experience with them. I've also referred numerous friends and family to Eric and company and I've always heard positive feedback. Here's why I'd use no shop other than PPM: * First, Eric and company are honest and ethical, even if it means they won't make as large of a sale as they may wish. When it comes to maintenance, they will advise you of the condition of your car and its systems and help you make an informed decision on which repairs to perform and which to defer. Similarly, if there are items for which the dealer may still offer warranty coverage, Eric will advise you of such (where other shops would likely seek to perform the work themselves). Likewise, if you have a car you'd like prepared for the track, Eric will help you make smart choices on which mod's will be worth the investment and which will not. For me, money spent on unnecessary repairs or modifications that don't lower my lap times is a total waste and not problem when I work with PPM. * Second, PPM's attention to detail and quality control are second to none. On my first track-prepared car, I often picked the car up on Friday afternoon and drove it directly from PPM to the race track. Whether they were aligning the car, replacing the clutch, doing suspension or brake work or doing a comprehensive "nut and bolt" check, the work was always performed problem free. I can't emphasize this point enough. Track cars can be fussy and often high reliability is sacrificed for peak performance. Over the course of several years, though, I never suffered a breakdown of my highly-modified track car. PPM doesn't cut corners, they are mindful and it shows in their error-free work. * Third, the staff at PPM are experienced, talented and properly trained. They can be relied upon to solve the most pesky problems. They can spec and build powerful and reliable Porsche race engines. They can tune your track car's suspension to suit your driving style and help you achieve your best lap times. They can be trusted with your valuable referrals. * Fourth, and finally, dealing with PPM is breeze. Eric is a pleasure to deal with; he listens to your needs and he's responsive. The shop is walking distance to Walnut Creek BART where it just so happens you can also take a free "trolley" to the downtown Walnut Creek shopping area. It's also in a nice, safe area and I don't think twice about dropping my car there after hours and leaving the key where Eric suggests. There you have it. I hope you found this review helpful and I hope you have a positive experience when you trust them with your Carrera GT or your mini van, be it for an oil change of a new, custom spec'd suspension. read more

As a new owner of a 1987 Porsche 911 Carrera Targa that I am restoring, I recently visited a few different Porsche repair shops in the East Bay. I am very pleased with my decision to take my 911 to Pacific Power Motorsports in Walnut Creek. Eric Leman of Pacific Power Motorsports in Walnut Creek is bar none, the absolute best mechanic I have ever encountered! He is extremely conscientious and always gets the job done right the first time on my 911. Eric is a perfectionist and so am I when it comes to repairs/upgrades to my Porsche 911. Have a 2004 GT3 that had a rear main seal leak, not uncommon unless you speak to Porsche. Had it at the local Porsche dealer and they attemted to fix it twice. No success. Told me it was due to spirited driving, seems odd as that is what the car is for. Took it to Pacific Power and they fixed it in one attempt and have had no issues since. They recommended me to perform a specific ECU software update at Volvo dealership. With software update done, I was able to pass smog and get my registration renewed. A big thanks to Antonio at Independent Volvo Porsche of Walnut Creek! His accurate diagnosis saved me all kinds of grief. If you have a Volvo or a Porsche, and is located in the San Francisco East Bay Area, I would highly recommend you to look them up. I was there only twice, but each time I came away more than satisfied with their work.

Waste of time and super expensive…read more $360 to change spark plug wires - which were only 1 month old - and on a 4 cylinder - meaning 5 wires total. - without asking permission. This is $60 in parts max. And 5 wires. For $360. WTAF. $1,300 wasted on installing a brake master cylinder - when it was a sensor that just needed cleaning. - they misdiagnosed the issue - wasted my money, then sheepishly acknowledged the issue later - when the brake failure light was still on. They wanted $500 to replace a muffler ($100 part) - when I complained of "clunking" sounds coming from the back of the car. This of course makes no sense - but nothing they do makes sense. Come to find out, it was lose shock mounts banging around.... ...Which, They had just replaced the shocks and should have noticed the mounts were loose. So they wanted to over-charge me for a muffler when the problem was loose shock mounts - which they should have noticed when they did the shocks. $400 to replace a 6" rubber hose - literally $3 in parts in 10 minutes labor. They simply dont diagnose problems and throw your money away looking for problems and not finding solutions. Over and over again - they misdiagnose problems, throw out solutions without thinking and overcharge like crazy.

About a year ago I got quoted $1,400 by Midas to get my axel boots replaced on my Toyota yaris. I called him in desperation-- my parents had brought their cars to him before but I had never brought mine in, but I had heard great things. I left a message and a couple days later he called back and said I could bring in my car early in the morning so he could take a look, no appointment needed despite his crazy busy schedule. He let me know that the issue was not nearly as bad as I had been told and that he could do the job for half of what Midas had quoted me. This was my first experience with him and he has consistently shown how much he truly cares about doing right by people and taking care of their cars honestly and to the best of his ability. I feel like I could trust him with my life. When he retires eventually I will have to go into mourning. If you are not sure whether the wait for an appointment is worth it, ask yourself if you can afford to pay double whatever he will charge you to another mechanic who will not be nearly as thorough as he will be. Recently, when he had to refer me to another shop because I needed a service he doesn't provide, he asked me to still follow up and let him know how it went after the work was done, just out of the pure kindness of his heart. He is a one in a hundred million kind of mechanic.
