Love that they make their own vanilla bean - I always get it in my iced coffee. Honey lavender is also a good flavor. The coffee options are exquisite and extensive, there are so many different options to choose from it can be a bit overwhelming for a beginner. However, the people working at Pour Richards are very pleasant and happy to educate you about all the different styles/options. The food choices are also very good. I want to start by saying I love Pour Richards. My partner and I have been going there since it opened and are loyal card carrying members. I am allergic to dairy so am enamored with the homemade almond milk latte. Recently there has been what appears to be a complete staff changeover. With that there has been a slip in quality. A few weeks ago the almond milk was very watery and curdled when put in the coffee. I can understand a mistake, but at $5 or more per coffee...if you know the product came out wrong...DON'T SERVE IT! The staff acknowledged that they knew about it and that others had complained, but they continued to serve it. They did make me a new drink with oat milk instead. This weekend I ordered one of my faves - decaf almond milk latte. It tasted off with a slight sour taste. I also got oatmeal that was just barely moistened so some of the oats were still raw. This is a high end place and I LOVE IT. I think you need to better train and monitor your staff and the product standards. I will be soooo sad if I lose my favorite coffee place because it's just not as good as it used to be. read more

Have to downgrade my previous review. Went for second time with my wife one morning. Place was not busy. Two guys working were not so welcoming (one guy was actually gender ambiguous and looked like he was trying to be female, not something I have anything against). Did not offer much help in explaining or choosing among the different coffee options, not like last time. Just made the coffee perfunctorily. Coffee turned out so-so, certainly not worth going out of the way to visit. Maybe it is better to come when the actual owner is working? read more

It is so refreshing to have a local coffee cafe right in Devon. Pour Richard's has a clean, warm and welcoming atmosphere and staff, but most importantly knows the coffee business and serves a fantastic latte. They also serve fresh gourmet pastries, salads, quiche and sandwiches that are amazing. Stop by and bring a friend or two. While I haven't participated in one yet, I understand that on Wednesdays they offer something called "cuppings," to help give the participant a true educational coffee experience. I visited Pour Richard's today. My main goal was to see their fantastic Bunn Trifecta, a machine used for brewing amazing cups of coffee. I found even more than I expected. The shop is beautiful, and the equipment very high-end. Espresso pulled on a 2 group Synesso machine. Roaster right there in the shop! And, many types of coffee that can be brewed on the Trifecta. The last time I was there, the barista was brewing up some chai tea that wasn't from a store bought container and is smelled heavenly! I bought a roast beef sandwich. I got home 3 minutes later I opened it up and a foul smell was coming from the sand which. ? so I took a bite thinking maybe the roast beef mixed with horseradish sauce made this smell. I spit it out and immediately realized the roast beef was either Torres or just old and foul. I'm very familiar with food and lunch meat. This is unacceptable and flat out horrible that you keep your sliced roast beef in a mini fridge. nothing was made to order my quiche was taken from the display and put in a toaster sane with the vegetable egg sandwich. I visited this great new coffee shop about a month ago. I have been studying for some licensing exams so I figured I would try it out for a new study spot and for a cup of coffee. The ambiance here is much less hectic and more spacious...let alone easy and free parking. I am really happy to see that there are new coffee shops in the area as there are not many. The chairs and tables are all wood and very great to crank out some studying. I kind of felt like Ben Franklin in the one I was sitting it. I'm not sure why I felt like this but it was pretty cool. The wall that is around their coffee bar is bedazzled with pennies which I found was an awesome touch. So for the coffee, I was blown away. If I remember correctly, they roast on site. I ordered a triple espresso to really get the juices running. The barista was super friendly and took my verbal bate and started up a chat while I was waiting for my coffee. Luckily, or maybe not depending on your thoughts on caffeine, I got an extra shot of espresso on the house as there machine automatically makes them doubles making a triple espresso hard to come by. As I sat studying and sipping my jolt juice, I over heard the two baristas behind the counters testing coffee and naming it's name and source. I was so amazed by their knowledge. The girl did not know quite as much as the guy but that didn't stop him from giving an informative lesson. This conversation led to various experiments using what looked like an antique coffee maker/Bunsen burner. Looked interesting. I stayed for about an hour and enjoyed my caffeine high and the people watching...and I guess got some studying done. Great place, great chairs, great coffee. read more

I'm so happy to have discovered this local gem! I am a sucker for great cold brew, rich lattes and patient, knowledgeable baristas, and this place ticks all the boxes. The Ethiopian cold brew is exceptional and what brought me in the first time, but as the weather gets cooler, I think their homemade Pumpkin Honey Latte will keep me coming back. I'm not sure it was even on the menu, but I overheard another customer order one and just had to try it for myself. This is the way a fall coffee beverage should be done. Not a cloying syrup like that drive-thru coffee giant across the street -- the Pumpkin Honey was smooth and spicy, with just enough sweetness to balance the espresso. The vibe of the café is somewhat all over the place, which I actually think is great. The conservative, old fashioned furnishings combined with modern music and hip (but not obnoxiously so!) staff members make for a pretty cool place to hang out. Well done, you guys. There are so many different beans to try- they will brew any one that you want on the Trifecta which does one cup at a time of the bean of your choice. Pour Richards offers an exceptional educational experience when it comes to coffee. Their shop is a rare find. They offer high quality roasted beans which produce an exceptional cup of coffee (I could never drink coffee black before tasting theirs!). My only complaint is in the management. Job seekers please be careful as this is a newer company and the owners are not business savy regarding hiring practices. I was offered $10 an hour for a position that was posted by their company for $30,000 annual salary after I had interviewed for 10 hours over a span of 3 weeks and put my job search on hold. My advice would be to be very upfront so time is not wasted on their end or yours. Overall they are great. We all have room to improve and grow! read more

I use to go to wawa every morning for my coffee probably because of the convenience but found this hidden gem! Their house blend is always fantastic and they change up a special blend daily usually from South America. Great experience and reasonable prices. OMG!! The cold brew and the scones here are amazing! When I travel I like to try local places so a friend recommended this place and she was so on par for telling me to go here. Today was my first and last visit to Pour Richard's Coffee Co. Allow me to elaborate. Let's begin with the atmosphere: 10. The pairing of Edison bulbs with dark wood paneling leaves patrons with a true sense of warmth and community. Next, the coffee -- again...perfect 10. The espresso was remarkable with true bean expression -- you can tell the equipment has been dialed in through trial and error and the beans are spot on. At this point, your likely thinking,"This idiot doesn't realize 1/5 is a BAD score..." I am, in fact, aware of the grading rubric and stand by the score. I could barely hear the cries for help from within my own head over the obnoxious and incessant banter of the barista(s) (one in particular) who simply would not stop screaming about life's struggles. People can both acquire and prepare excellent coffee at home. A coffee shop is, more often than not, about escaping distraction available in your quiet home. I would have had an easier time studying on New Years Eve in Times Square. I'm sure the offerings I didn't have the opportunity to sample are equally delightful. However, if the coffee was free and came with a brick of gold bullion, you would not find me in line for what amounted to 45 minutes (yes, I lasted quite long) of waterboarding-like torture. I want to add that the staff was as kind as they appeared knowledgeable. Nothing could outweigh the level of auditory persecution I endured during my short stay. I hope this review was helpful. I feel a product plug is also noteworthy: apparently, BOSE 'noise-canceling' headphones do have a threshold above which they offer a limited dampening of external noise pollution. read more

I am so thrilled that Pour Richard's Coffee is in the neighborhood! We've needed a place like this for ages! The coffee is absolutely divine, roasted right on site and you can really taste the difference that it makes, it's very special. I had an amazing Hazelnut Latte! YUMMY!! The food is also very nice, the pastries are so delicious and the 2nd time I was in I had a wonderful sandwich. It's a great breakfast and lunch spot! It has become my new "go to" spot when I want to meet a friend for a coffee and a nosh. The service was really good too, they are definitely passionate about their product and the result is a wonderful cafe experience! :) read more
