Catered potbelly is the best! The salads were probably the best part, there was plenty of ingredients in it besides just lettuce. Many options for sandwiches, although there were no vegetarian options but that could've been our mistake. Plenty of toppings for the sandwiches we had a lot leftover. They also did forget to deliver a box of sandwiches so we had to wait another hour later for those to come but worth it. Sandwiches were warm and tasty when they arrived. Easy place to feed plenty of people. Love the healthy options. Peppers are very spicy though so beware!!! I stopped in on 4/15 to take advantage of the tax day bogo! I ordered online and pickup was at 6:20. I ran a couple errands and walked in at 6:30. The 3 orders on the mobile order shelf were from 3pm and even noon!(....gross). This location was SO busy! I feel it's unfair to understaff your store on a promo code day. The staff seemed upbeat and not defeated, that was nice to see. My order was not called out until 6:40ish so a 20 min delay. Luckily I was not in a rush but that could be very inconvenient. Stopped in this evening around dinner time (6:00pm ish). Place was empty, but during our visit people were zipping in and out for pickup orders. We ordered the chicken club and a wreck. Second time here for me, but my mother's first time. We decided to enjoy our meal in the restaurant as our drive home is about 15 minutes. Sandwich was hot and made quickly . Bread was very fresh. Very spacious potbelly with plenty of tables for larger groups. We went on a Sunday morning and there was barely anyone there. This was my first time at a potbelly so I didn't know what to expect. The menu is similar to any Jimmy johns or subway, pricing wise, it's the same as well, except potbelly has 3 price points per item whereas JJ has only 2. I got the skinny Mediterranean and I loved how it came with hummus at no extra cost. I added pickles and avocado as well and it was a delicious healthy meal! The guy was super nice and gave us the avo at no extra cost. My husband got the steakhouse sandwich and he enjoyed it as well, except he thought they added too many hot peppers. Not asking for much, but when I spend $24 after tip on a soup and sandwich, I don't expect to crack a filling out of my back molar because of an "olive pit" that was let in the ingredients to my sandwich. After I politely brought it to the woman's attention at the register, she didn't seem too concerned about my predicament. On Sunday morning, I took my time getting on with my day. I was still processing being at the Winter Classic the previous evening. I also wanted to savour being indoors in a warm hotel room. I got hungry at around 2 pm. I was craving a meatball sandwich. Where does one go to get one? I did a quick search and found Potbelly Sandwich Shop that had meatball sandwiches on its menu. It's at Eagan Promenade, roughly a five-minute drive away from where I was. I had to pick up the pace, as this eatery closes at 4 pm on Sundays. I arrived in front of Potbelly Sandwich Shop just before 3 pm. I backed into a spot steps away from the main entrance and walked in. There were three customers inside. It was a sign that this place does good business. When it was my turn to order, I got the original mama's meatball sandwich. An original is a regular sandwich in size. It also comes in skinny (small) and big (large). I got my sandwich on whole wheat bread with lettuce and Italian seasoning. I also made my sandwich a part of a meal deal. For $3, you get a regular fountain drink and a bag of chips. I was thrilled to see Zapp's chips here. I fell in love with them when I visited New Orleans several years back. I got the mesquite barbeque. I paid for my food with a credit card. I decided to dine in, as there weren't many folks chowing down at 3 pm. My meatball sandwich hit the spot. It was messy with the shredded lettuce plopping out of it now and again, but it was delicious. I wish that the meatballs were larger, but they were cut in half and tasted yummy. They were tender, but solid enough that they didn't crumble on you. The bread was perfect. It was fresh and held everything together. I got a Diet Coke as my fountain drink. It was refreshing and much needed to wash down my food. I got a refill before I left the eatery to get on with my day. The Zapp's chips were so good. Oh, how I've missed the mequite barbeque ones! They are kettle-style chips. It was nice getting some New Orleans flair with my lunch! I used the washroom before I left. It wasn't in the greatest condition. Just okay. I will say that the washroom has a well-stocked cupboard of individually wrapped toilet paper. My hotel could learn a lot about replenishing supplies from this place. Customer service here is great. I thanked the man who was sweeping the floor. He wished me a pleasant day and told me to take care. I reciprocated. So nice! You can order ahead of time and do contactless pickup. Your order is placed in a cubby by the fountain drinks machine. You can download the Potbelly app or go through Potbelly's site to place your order. I had a good experience here. We made two orders for work. One was ordered on line and the other was called in. Person who answered the phone said they do not take phone orders and laughed when he said if paying cash you have to come in to order. So the second order was then placed on line as well. I heard the number 1 guy helping me tell the other person (number 2 guy) the shake he was putting on the counter was mine for the second order and he disappeared to the back. A few minutes later, number 2 guy looks at me confused and asked if I had gotten my order yet. I said I hadn't and that I thought guy number 1 went back to check on my order. Number 2 guy says he doesn't now what is happening and puts the second shake in the ice cream section so it doesn't melt and goes to the back. Comes back and politely says it will be just a few minutes. I then got the second order and asked about the shake for the second order that number 2 guy handed to another customer. He then tells the customer he handed to that he will have to make him another shake since my food was ready and handed the shake to me. I took the sealed bag and shake back to work. First order was as it should be. The second order was supposed to be three BMLTs, two of the three sandwiches were right but the third sandwich was not even close to what was ordered and upon inspection it said Door Dash on it so we wound up with a sandwich no one wanted or would eat and someone else got a sandwich they didn't want either. Mistakes happen and what was right was good as usual and had the other issues not happened ESPECIALLY the part about not taking phone orders when there is a big sign encouraging customers to call in orders, I would not have left a negative review. read more

He went back and asked for my name three times and could not find my order. He yelled at me asking where my name was on the order but your app does now show the customer name, only order number so he was frustrated with me for your app issues. He then asked me my name a fourth time and finally turned around and saw my bag of food on the shelf two feet behind him. This is an inconvenience to a lot of people I'm sure, + this is the second bad experience I've had here. I've noticed a decline in service over the last few months, but recently when trying to place an order to pickup I couldn't even get beyond the ordering point! I first used their on-line ordering and but wasted my time with 2 attempts to get to the final step and have their website freeze. I tried via phone with no answer after 3 attempts. Prior experience (on-line order), I had to wait for the order beyond the agreed to pick up time (with no apologies and a lousy attitude by their employee in general), I added a bag of cookies at time of pick-up which I have ordered in the past and they were very stale. This business is going downhill fast. That's unfortunate because it was excellent in the past and we were regular customers. The company doesn't seem to care about bad complaints registered on their website. I left a similar review there with no response even though I checked the box for a response. I am lucky enough to live with and love a beautiful woman named Jenny. Jenny, you see, has an affinity for soups and sandwiches--neither of which I'm particularly fond--and we've spent many hours driving around looking for restaurants like this one to curb her cravings because the needs of my lady are of the utmost importance. I usually end up getting chili and what ever Italian-esque sub is on the menu when we go to these places, because meat. That being said... I wasn't enamored with Potbelly in the slightest on our first visit and (in a shocking twist) neither was she. Both of us got bowls of the grossest chili that has ever graced my lips. You know why it was so vile? Two words: Kraft Single. I couldn't taste anything other than the plastic, processed goo that managed to melt evenly throughout the entire bowl or the dried out onions they dumped on top. We couldn't even manage to get a quarter of the way through the bowls before tapping out. A silent pact that day was made to not bother returning. Flash forward a few years. Our pact was broken, much to my dismay, when I found myself in the company of both Jenny and my mother (whom is also a lover of the sandwich/soup shit). They were on the truffle hunt for a fix and I was but a helpless hostage trapped in the throes of panic from the haunting memories of that chili. I went with the Italian sub (shock!) because that's what I do (awe!). The onions here are minced in such a way that they both dry out quickly and end up everywhere but your mouth when you take a bite. I've never understood the whole 'minced onion' on a sub thing, but... I digress. Their 'original' size is pretty sad and small looking--markedly smaller than their competitors, including Jimmy Johns--and I wasn't full or even half-ass satisfied after cramming it down my gullet. Ultimately, it was soggy from the excessive amount of oily dressing, annoying to eat with all the toppings bailing and extremely skimpy for what I paid. But it was in no way inedible or disgusting like the chili, so that was a plus. My mom and Jenny didn't seem delighted with their offerings, either, which made me feel less like a crabby dick. The one highlight of the meal was the sugar cookie I shamelessly nagged my mom into buying for me since I checked out before I saw them. It was soft, huge and dusted with large crystals of turbinado sugar. I'd almost make the trip back here just to nab one of them. I'm giving it three stars solely for the cool interior, the polite staff and the fact that, while I can concede that I'm not a good judge of places like this, the company I've had on both occasions is and they were just barely 'whelmed'. read more

Same ol great sandwiches as always. They had a guy playing live music with his guitar and harmonica, he doesn't take up much room and the music isn't "in your face." How can a harmonica be "in your face?" I guess I don't know. Took about 10 minutes to get from the line from the door to the checkout and they are not slow. People who compare Potbellly's to Quiznos are simply stupid? Really? I had PB today. I had Quiznos last week. One place didn't blow away the other place. It depends on what you order. But the fact is PB's sandwiches are about 25-30% smaller than their competition, which is why I won't bother going back. Are you kidding me? That's a regular? When the guy handed me my sandwich, it looks like the size of a fruit roll up. OK...maybe an exaggeration but it is certaily smaller than Davannie, Quiznos, or even Subway. The taste was good (ordered a buffalo chicken sandwich) but the size was disappointing to say the least. I left still hungry and i'm a not a big eater. BTW...at the Eagan location, they had some guitarist singer in the middle. OK. that's different. But I'm there over a business lunch and I can barely hear myself talk or my co-worker talk.
