My teen daughter's fav restaurant. Her fav dish is the white cheddar Mac & Cheese. I love their consistently great execution of classic bread and sandwiches. Today, we ordered from the app and picked up from the drive thru. What a great experience - easy to order, and our order was prepped quickly and accurately. Here's what we ate today: Mac & Cheese Breadbowl (4/5) Mac & Cheese is her favorite for a reason. However, the breadbowl was not as good as usual today. BBQ Chicken Sandwich (3/5). The bread was nice and crusty. I've had better BBQ sauces before. French Baguette (5/5): SO good! Creamy Tomato Soup (4/5): tasty soup and they put the croutons in a separate bag to keep them crunchy. Fudgy Brownie CinnaTop (3/5): it was fun to try but I wouldn't order it again. The brownies tasted more like cookies than brownies to me. I loved the cinnamon roll and icing. The problem was that I didn't really enjoy these ingredients mixed together. I come to this Panera often as it is very close. Have been coming here for probably a decade or so, as long as I've lived in Eagan. The food is good, I've never had a complaint about it really. The Signature Take Chicken sandwich has been my goto for a few months now, I also often get their chicken wild rice soup. Its usually really good. The problem is the experience here. The always seem understaffed, which in this post covid era isn't surprising, its almost common in all places like this. But their equipment is falling apart. The pay kiosks often don't work, or are missing. The drive thru seems permanently closed. Food is often not available on the menu and if you search area Panera on their app, others have it. And I've started to experience watery soup more often. It used to happen once in a great while but now it seems like far more often. While the food remains mostly acceptable, the service is sketchy. The hours are weird, sometimes they close earlier than the posted time. On a recent visit they were shutting down the dining room a full hour before they closed. We had to grab a booth because all the tables were stacked with upside down chairs and they even moved some tables in front of booths, making them inaccessible. They were just doing their basic cleaning, nothing out of ordinary. I'm getting the serious vibe this joint is about to be smoked. I wonder what'll replace it? read more

I was just at Panera to order a sandwich and had some of the worst customer service ever. The drive-through person must not have learned manners when they were in school. All it got out of this person was demanding the payment. Did say please or thank you. Besides waiting for a long period of time, you would think they would apologize for the slow service and say thank you. Instead, I got nothing. When I said, "you are welcome", the response was 'have a good one" and proceeded by the drive-up window being shut. Really? I think you need to take lessons from Chick-fil-A who have excellent service and all of their workers are very polite. I stopped into this Panera bread for breakfast on many occasions. The staff in the morning are great, they greet you with a smile and remembered my name as well as my coffee and breakfast order. They were very accomodating with anything I needed, treated me more like family and went out of the way to bring my order to my table to prevent me from having to stand and wait to long. This is a great place in the morning to get work done as the restaurant is nice and quiet, there are many regulars whom stop in first thing in the morning but definitely does not get overcrowded or to noisy. This is a great location, I had excellent service here during lunch on a weekend. They have a really organized call ahead system and the food was fresh and prepared correctly. This location is a bit challenging as it's in a large mall and well away from the expressway. There is plenty of seating inside, and they have free wifi. Overall, Panera is perfect for a quick and healthy lunch. I would recommend this location if you are in the area. read more

This location is usually my go to but it is going downhill. I try to avoid it these days. If I can't get to the one in Blaine then I don't go at all! The service is terrible. As I'm sitting waiting for my order I can hear the young cooks in the back cursing at each other. I ordered a chick sandwich with extra mayo as you see in the picture there was no mayo on the sandwich at all and it had huge clumps of turkey on there. I am so impressed with this Panera. My partner had an amazing surprise for me this afternoon: a Mediterranean sandwich from this joint right near Yankee Doodle Dandy road (driving on a road called Yankee Doodle is amazing in itself). My sandwich was absolutely incredible. I'm completely blown out of the water. My partner got me the full size sandwich which is basically the size of two sandwiches, so I have dinner this evening as well. My partner also specifically mentioned the employee working did not make fun of her for severely mispronouncing "Mediterranean" several times (turns out you can just say "the med veg"). And it was busy but the order was 100% correct. This is my go-to Panera and I take advantage of all services: drive through, rapid pick up, catering w/ delivery, and self check-out. I've never been disappointed. Employees at this location are always helpful and friendly. And, despite the brisk business and consistently steady flow of customers, the restaurants is usually clean and well kept. The food is always fresh and carefully crafted. Definitely worth visiting. And, I highly recommend their catering service. read more

There is only one downside to this Panera: It has a drive-thru. I say that's a downside because it makes it way too easy to order a lot of food. You only realize your gluttony when the bags are being passed to you through the window. The staff at this location are always friendly and don't make judgments when you're getting your grub on. Everyone knows that Panera's food is pretty much the best available from the "fast casual" market. If you haven't tried the mac & cheese, YOU MUST. It's the creamiest, most comforting dish there is. Make sure you save a little cheese sauce for dipping the baguette. When I'm done, there is not one speck of cheese left in the bowl. YUM!!! To me, there is nothing with which you can go wrong here, so I won't make any additional recommendations. Yes, the Fuji Apple Chicken Salad is still number one for me. I've been eating that since forever. One of the great things, too, is that you can order your food, even eat-in, from the app or at a kiosk in the restaurant. Loved the service here. It was so busy but I can see why. Everyone you encounter had smiles and pleasant words and service to match. Had the chipotle chicken avocado sandwich. It was good but lacking in fillings. The creamy chicken wild rice was good but lacking chicken. My review with 5 stars is mostly due to service. I also love the loyalty program and I got a free bagel and my birthday pumpkin muffie my fav. Lol I recommend going here but if you're in a rush do the To Go program it's pretty slick. Try to avoid this location. They skimp on the portion of salad receive in the whole size, they only give you two containers of dressing that are half full and the soup is watery as compared to other locations. The Edina location provides you with a full salad and full dressing containers. Way to save on food costs folks. read more

The order was one coffee (that was self serve) and a Yogurt with berries. How hard is that to get out to a customer. So after 20 Minutes we inquired what was up and they had some confusion in the kitchen and it will be right out. Great place for coffee, breakfast, lunch or snacks. Good location for shoppers with low blood sugar...many big box stores in area. Parking is easy, thanks to large lots, but beware of fast SUVs trying to get around, going from shop to shop. Nice folks here. Pretty good service. More good experiences than bad. read more

I've been going here since 2004-5, and despite many sub par experiences, this is my first review. It seems that sadly for most businesses, good service is at an all time low. This location only gets to order right half the time. Unfortunately if I'm short on time and don't thoroughly look over everything I don't realize it until I've gotten home which is about a 10 minute drive. I've ordered chicken noodle soup only to realize that I have chicken and wild rice when I get home. I've ordered salads with chicken, only to realize there was no chicken on them. Today I ordered a Greek half salad with chicken, and was disgusted when I took it out of the bag at home. The salad was swimming in some type of liquid. It did not look fresh, the salad looks like it was all iceberg, and very minimal chicken. Although I was tired, I hopped back in my car to take it back only to be met by very sarcastic manager. I tried to express my frustration about the fact that my orders are often wrong, but rather than choose to truly listen and learn from my experience, he was only in a rush to give me the refund and push me out the door. After returning this nine dollar excuse for a salad, I drove a half a block to Byerlys and got a salad from their salad bar. My salad was triple the size, double the meat, Beautiful greens and spinach, fresh veggies, and it cost me six dollars. I suppose if you want a bagel and coffee, or a sweet treat this may still hit the spot. But as for me and my family, we will NEVER order a meal from here again. Sad... read more

Well drive through was the only option (unless your mama is making soup for you in the backseat). I like chicken wild rice soup from Panera so I decided to chase that through drive thru. I was thinking it will take a long time to get my food, and I was willing to accept that fate for the delicious chicken wild rice soup. But Wait !!!! I had about 6 cars in front of me and they are moving pretty fast. It maybe took about 2/3 minutes before I was able to place my order and another minute before I received it. Wow!!! Cool. Soup is still hot and I am happy. My sandwich was great, I had proper utensils in my my bag with couple of extra napkin (Yes, hear that Subway?? few extra napkin). I was expecting company at 12:30 and tried to call in a $90 order for sandwiches, soups and salads. Unfortunately, no one ever picks up the phone and eventually it goes dead. I tried the option for the Manager but that hung up on me also. This is what happened last time I tried to call in an order also. The recording does say if it's a busy time to call back later. This made me feel like they have enough business and don't need mine, if they can't even answer the phone. If they are that short staffed, perhaps they need to hire some part-time help at busy times. The food is very good, and staff seems polite when you come in. But don't bother calling in an order ahead of time. I visited this location on Friday 2/14/2020 with my husband, son and daughter. Their cashier was busy and their kiosk had some out of service for self order. I made our initial order and while waiting for our food to come out I noticed an older lady arguing with a younger male about the tea dispensers at the beverage station. It was loud enough to be annoying. This whole the the female employee was holding onto our kids meals that she eventually delivered, only because I could see and hear the whole situation from our booth. Fast forward 20 minutes and our son wanted some more food so I go to the self service kiosk and order him a Kids macaroni and cheese, only to wait 10 plus minutes to not get the mac and cheese. The same male employee stopped by our table and tried to deliver another customers meal to us and I explained we were waiting on a kids macaroni and cheese and an apple. He went on to deliver the meal eventually (after a table auction) and came back to our table to pick up our pager and walk away. I stopped him and asked him why would he take the pager without delivering a meal or confirming we had what we needed. He just said he was trying to do a million things that day. I explained to him again we were waiting on a kids macaroni and cheese and an apple, and our Bacon Turkey Bravo had no bacon on it. He went on and on with excuses that they get really crazy busy on Fridays and showed no ownership. I'm very patient but his lack of ownership had me at my wits end. I've been ignored / disregarded on a couple occasions going here; I used to go 2-3 times a week because I love Panera, but I won't go HERE anymore... rude service and I don't know what the ignoring me is about? my last experience a 2nd cashier shows to shorten the wait line and when it comes to my turn he vanishes without so much as even acknowledging me... I went there today and got a pick 2 for lunch. For one of the pick two items I got a salad. I customized my order to include avocado. When I got my meal the avocado wasn't on there. I went to the register and asked if I could get some. I was told someone would bring it to my table. I waited for around 30ish min. I wasn't keeping track exactly because I was working on homework. I was upset that I didn't get the avocado but ate the salad anyway because I was hungry. I went to ask for a refund on my avocado (I know doesn't seem like much, but I'm a broke college student so every bit matters) and because I didn't wanna pay for something I didn't get. The general manager listened to my short story and refunded my whole meal!! Made my day and I haven't stopped thinking about in since. Shout out to the GM for being amazing. The last time I had my order delivered, everything was in there, but the delivery person couldn't figure out how to get in the building, and the phone numbers were right there. They also didn't have the right phone number and went to the wrong location. This person said they were a manager--what next? The last time I picked up salads, there was no dressing in the salads. A good place to meet people. Baked items taste a little stale toward the end of the day. I had a bad experience with an orange scone, cost them a point deduction. Staff is friendly and a pleasant atmosphere. I wish the baked items were on par with Cafe Latte since they cost the same. read more
