I again love crisp and green but I tried to give them another chance and again I was completely disappointed. This location is going to fail if you guys don't change your portion sizes or train your employees to make a bowl correctly. I paid almost $16 for a bowl that was half full and it's a salad. the employee gave me the smallest amount of lettuce in my bowl. It's ridiculous.

Grand opening for a great healthy alternative on the go. Crisp and green is known for their bowls. They fill their bowls up with rice, vegetables, different types of proteins and good sauces/dressings. I am a huge fan of the bold and the Buffalo. I love their buffalo sauce. It's all flavor that adds a lot to the bowl. I also like the mix of arugula, cauliflower with the brown rice and the chicken. Overall it's a great mix and it's my go to every time. We also got a kids meal. You can't really go wrong with any of their selections. They have one that's more like a taco and one that's more like a salad. So whatever your kiddo wants, you will be taken care of. My only complaint is that it is a little pricey. About 18 $19 per person with a drink. They also charged me $.85 for extra buffalo sauce on the side. I do understand quality comes at a cost and I can appreciate paying higher then normal prices. Quality also means you're paying over $10 for a meal. So for me and most people it's not somewhere you're going to go on the daily/regular. Overall this is an upscale fast food restaurant that is brand new to the south metro and has great outdoor seating. They could use some umbrellas because they're in the direct sun. It's still a nice place to sit and gather with their tables and couch set up.

I've seen Crisp & Green in other cities and always wanted to try it, but I never got to it. Once I saw that they were opening up in the south metro I was ecstatic! Only because there's nothing like it in Apple Valley and it was definitely needed. We went for their grand opening and it was fun. There was a class outdoor, a dj and the first 100 had free lunch to try it out. I thought that was very thoughtful and cool! I've seen many other locations do those type of things and that's very considerate of them. This location has an amazing staff! So friendly! I'm sure that's all Crisp & Green. Anyways.... Since July it's been a month and Its safe to say I love a lot of their salads, protein bowls and açaí bowls. It's a tad more on the pricey side but definitely worth it. Fresh ingredients daily and all the flavor combinations compliment each other very well. My favorites are: The Bold & Buffalo, Wild Wild Southwest, and Shrimply Irresistible. Others are just as good but my favorites are the one I crave the most. Also don't skip on their Vegan Chocolate Chip Walnut cookie!

You can make reservations and they have an app with a loyalty program. There often is a wait during dinner time, so if you can plan ahead I would make a reservation. Tavern Grill recently revamped their menu and they have some really great dishes! Some notable dishes: -- The Thai Chicken Lettuce Wraps appetizer is SO fresh and flavorful! You can add on cashews and avocado. The avocado slices were so thick and fresh. The wonton strips were some of the best I've had -- so light and crispy. The thai peanut sauce on the chicken was fantastic and the ginger sauce had a pretty decent kick to it. -- The Chicken Skewers entree is my go-to dish. It's such a classic and it has consistently been good every time I've ordered it. The chicken is juicy and the peppers and onions have a nice charred grilled flavor. The garlic parmesan sauce complements the dish well. -- The Chicken Wild Rice Soup is on the chunkier side, which I enjoyed! It was nice and creamy and didn't skimp out on the wild rice. The Clam Chowder served on Fridays was a little too salty. -- The Skillet Cookie is so warm and gooey! The ice cream melts right into the warm cookie. The cookie is on the doughier side and the outside is on the softer side. It's almost the size of the entire plate, so it's easily shareable between a few people. -- The Fish Fry Basket doesn't taste too greasy, and the tarter sauce complements the fish well. The fish has a clean flavor and on Fridays you can get a refill of 4 pieces of fried fish for an additional $7.50. You can add on their seasoned sour cream for an additional cost. The seasoned sour cream is thick and adds so much flavor to the waffle fries. Last time I was there I received very friendly and attentive service from Sam.

Spoke to Mike who claimed he was the GM. Mike was rude didn't want to help. I explained they charged me quite a bit more than the tip and bill. He stated he wasn't there and he couldn't explain why I was charged more. Said he wouldn't fix the bill but couldn't explain why I was charged more. I told him then he should just remove the tip and have it match the receipt. He said he wouldn't do that because I digested the food. I stated I'd pay for the food but you aren't going to tip your establishment 50% of my bill when I never authorized that. He hung up on me. Response to Tavern T the owner. As you may have read I already spoke to Mike who claimed he was the GM and he wouldn't resolve the issue. Why would it be different now? I even advised Mike I would be writing reviews and potentially filing a lawsuit. It wasn't about the money as much as principle. He laughed and said he encourages me to. Clearly he doesn't care about his patrons and is willing to lose business over small amounts of money

The reviews are valid! It is a tiny place in a strip mall (by Cub and Little Caesars) so ambience is not why you come here. I went with a coconut curry dish, like a Tom Kha Gai with noodles, and husband got the Pad Thai. Service was fast and the spice level was great. We both ordered medium which was a true medium heat. Non spice fans will want to go with mild. My dish came with a side of pickled papaya - bonus!! I am looking forward to trying more dishes! FANTASTIC food, drinks, service, patio area, and ambiance!…read more I'm from Arizona and visit my in-laws in central MN 1-2x per year. However, this trip we had a wedding southeast of "the cities" where wife and our two kids loved that menu online and decided to check it out on our way to the wedding the next day. Honestly, this has been my fav restaurant in all of Minnesota. Ribeye, walleye, pretzel, and drinks were perfect! Unfortunately, I likely won't be in the area ever again to revisit it; however, we liked it so much I had to post a positive review. Cheers from AZ.

Oh boy...where to start? I guess I will start with the pros…read more First, I always like to mention what day and time I visited a restaurant. I decided to get takeout for lunch on a Monday afternoon. I have been on a kick lately trying Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwiches, or in Barley and Vine's case, the Tennessee Hot Chicken Sandwich. That was the main reason I wanted to stop by for lunch. I placed a to-go order, but we have also dined inside several times before. Starting with the positives, the staff is always very friendly and welcoming. There is really no issue there. The staff is fantastic. The overall vibe and ambiance of the restaurant are incredibly nice as well. It leans toward a fancier, higher-end, upscale atmosphere. I honestly think that may be part of the reason several reviews are so positive and why people may perceive the food as being higher quality or better tasting. We have also had brunch here more than once. We are generally not brunch people, but we have really enjoyed the brunch items we have ordered in the past. I am hoping we can come back for brunch again, and maybe I can eventually write an updated review with a higher rating. So why only 3/5 stars? My most recent to-go visit left me incredibly disappointed. To start, the Tennessee "Hot" Chicken Sandwich is not hot at all. "Hot" is absolutely not the correct word to use. It should probably just be called a Tennessee Chicken Sandwich, and honestly, even using "Tennessee" or "Nashville" does not seem accurate. This seemed like a basic Fried Chicken Sandwich made from a frozen chicken filet with far more breading than actual chicken. It is not the most pleasant photo to look at, but I attached a picture of the partially eaten sandwich to this review. You can clearly see how little chicken meat there actually was. They put white BBQ sauce on the sandwich, but I do not really have anything particularly good or bad to say about it. It was just kind of there. It did not improve the sandwich, but it did not necessarily make it worse either. The fries were also just fine. They seemed to be lacking flavor and may have been slightly burnt. Speaking of overcooked, the chicken sandwich also tasted overcooked. Overall, the sandwich and fries were simply not very good. I would never order the sandwich again, and I would probably substitute the fries for a different side in the future. Another issue is the repeated delay with to-go orders. I have ordered takeout from Barley and Vine maybe three or four times, and every single time the order has been late. I usually arrive only one or two minutes before the scheduled pickup time. Sometimes I even wait in the parking lot because I do not want to arrive too early. Every single time, the order is not ready at the scheduled time. This time, I only had to wait about six minutes past the pickup time. However, during my previous to-go experience a few weeks earlier, I waited more than 15 minutes past the scheduled pickup time. This has also happened during other visits. Finally, everything usually comes down to whether the meal is worth the price. I paid $17.77 for the Tennessee Hot Chicken Sandwich with fries. That included a 48 cent credit card surcharge. They add a 3% surcharge to all credit card payments, which automatically leaves a bad taste in my mouth at any restaurant. It's not something they have to do, to support higher wages or whatever they want to tell you. It's something they CHOOSE to do. Other restaurants don't do, or they simply increase their menu prices 3%. Which I would rather have than yet another fee in this world. Regardless, the meal was simply not worth the price. The sandwich was not flavorful, was not spicy, did not contain enough chicken, and tasted overcooked. The fries also seemed overcooked and lacked flavor. It was not a good value. You could drive a little farther down the road to Dave's Hot Chicken and get a more flavorful meal, a larger portion, and a lower price. This review feels harsh, but I am hoping it comes across as constructive criticism if management happens to read it. Overall, I cannot recommend ordering takeout from Barley and Vine. I cannot recommend the Tennessee Hot Chicken Sandwich, and I do not particularly recommend the fries either. They were not absolutely terrible, but they were not great. I am still hoping to visit Barley and Vine again. I will likely avoid ordering takeout because it has consistently been a poor experience. However, I hope we have a better experience the next time we dine inside, and I will definitely be ordering something else.

My kids liked the grilled chicken place and rice that they had. The chicken had great flavor.
