Despite a FULL restaurant on a Friday lunch, they took our order immediately and our food was delivered to our tables in 5 minutes. We were in and out jn 40 minutes and never felt rushed. I love their contemporary casual decor. My hubby and I enjoy getting the Toto pizza. It's Prosciutto, arugula, goat cheese, red pepper flakes, with thinly sliced garlic. Such a unique blend of flavors we don't get anywhere else. I also love getting a small side of Gorgonzola Salad. A perfect size side for 2 of us to share, but the salad was drowning in dressing. However, we just used the accompanying bread to help mop up the extra dressing. It was delicious. My wife and I were on our weekly new restaurant lunch place in the Twin Cities and my spouse went here last week with a friend and said I would love it, she was correct. We walked in and the atmosphere was friendly. About 5 people working behind the counter and we were helped by a trainee. She was really nice. It was about eleven AM and we walked up to the counter and I am a huge anchovy fan. The have a pizza that features anchovies! Score! I got that one with the amazing olives and capers and light cheese, which they adhered to. I also ordered a half Caesar salad with dressing on the side and two local IPAs. (Both were delicious) My wife ordered a marinara pizza, which has no cheese and she asked for no olive oil. They hit all of our special orders perfectly. Really good service. The salad was super fresh with real shredded Parmesan and the dressing was real olive oil. Oh my gosh. So good! The pizza had the most perfect topping of pizza, anchovy, with a good amount of pepperoni for the added cost. Sometimes places skimp on the additional toppings. Nope, just the right amount here. The cheese was perfect, not too much and enough to add "The deal" My wife LOVED her pizza and we brought home about almost a whole pizza for leftover breakfast. Wonderful tip. However, there is enough seating for small groups. The service is what you would expect from a chain restaurant, younger adults. I think a few of the girls behind the counter were talking about prom. They were a little bit loud, but not obnoxious. Punch has a lot of options for pizzas, including a build your own, with a variety of toppings to choose from. I ordered the Toscana, and was not very pleased with the outcome, upon receiving the food, which was adequately, timed, by the way, the pizza was very greasy, and the crust in the middle, where the toppings were, was quite soggy, and not appetizing. The toppings fell off of the pizza as I picked it up I ended up just eating the toppings off of the pizza. I also paid an extra three dollars for extra cheese. If what I received was extra, then I know I would be disappointed, receiving the regular amount. I would have also appreciated a spice indicator on this particular menu item. we went there on a Monday night and it wasn't too busy. got the Bruni and it was delicious (don't remember what my fiance got). the crust was nice and chewy, with just enough char on the bottom. i'm not big on sauce, but mine had the perfect amount to complement the toppings. since there weren't too many people there, we got our pizzas in about 10-15 minutes. i'd recommend eating there if you can. i don't feel like this pizza would travel all that well. they do have a takeout option where the pizza is parbaked and you finish cooking it on one of there "pizza steels" (available for purchase at the restaurant). i haven't done this, but somehow doubt it would be as good as a pizza that just came out of the wood fired oven. read more

Wow! I had the Toscano pizza (#8) and it was delicious! The Toscano has sausage, roasted red pepper, cracked red pepper and basil. Sometimes sausage on pizza can taste really hard/compressed which, to me, suggests that it's over cooked and maybe even processed, but the sausage on this pizza was loose and tender. So fresh! The roasted red peppers were not too soft and not too firm... they were just right. There were generous amounts of both the roasted peppers and the sausage. The fresh basil was great too. I love a little spice/kick and typically add crushed red pepper to my pizza. If you like a kick too, I would suggest NOT adding the crushed red pepper until you taste what is served. The cracked red pepper may be plenty spicy. The crust was crispy on the edges and just a tad too soft at the center. The pizza size is about 11" diameter. Very filling! Next time I'd probably share a pizza with a friend and also split a salad, which I recall being very good. Fast. Fresh. Clean. Friendly. A nice place to go for a tasty pizza. read more

To start with the pricing, it's a great option for an average priced meal for one. I went with the margarita pizza and it came out piping hot, though greasy. The grease is so apparent that it seemed like there was a layer in every bite, almost causing the pizza to fold in on itself. Even with the grease though, it was an addicting pizza, flavor-blasted. The pulcinella was a tasty balance between the starchy bread and fresh salad. The salad presented a rich, zesty, and vibrant pallet of essences. However, it was lacking salt and was not worth the excruciating ~$15. The provided olive oil and balsamic vinegar were a necessity to elevate the meal as a whole. read more

It's been awhile since my last visit to Punch Pizza and they do a great job of satisfying your tastes buds. It's great to see some more quick bites to way places close by my husband's work for meeting up for lunch in Eagan. So glad to not have to travel out of the way to get some Punch pizza. Service was on point. We dine in around 2:30 and it wasn't too busy since we came after the lunch rush hours. The place is clean and spacious. The basic mariguirita pizza and Napoli pizza seems reasonably priced until you start to customize the pizza then it could add up quickly. The pizzas are a little bigger than a personal size from Pizza Hut. Next time will have to ask for extra basil on the mariguirita pizza. I like that the pizza dough it's light and fluffy with not a lot of grease like most hands tossed pizzas where afterwards you feel bloated or puffy from all the salt and water retention. I felt full but not stuff that I couldn't move. Overall a good experience. Similar pizza style and feel more reasonably priced is at Biga Pizza. read more

I like Punch or at least I used too. The flavors are good. The people are not always pleasant. The pizza is very inconsistent. It would be nice if you could ask for a dry pizza. Meaning one that isn't dripping. Also extra cheese shouldn't be the same amount I got on the other pizza. So save your money on extra cheese. Crushes tomatoes are good but there is a way to drain them some more so the pizza doesn't have a cup of water on it. Flavor wise food is good. Punch is the best! Because they use fresh ingredients, I believe although some pizzas seem simple (just cheese & sauce with an herb) you can taste the difference because it's fresh basil not dried and the salt isn't just table salt and so on. The Eagan punch has a nice patio on the south side so it catches morning and afternoon sun. The employees at this punch are also friendly and considerate. If you haven't tried the artichoke dip yet, it's pretty delish. Sometimes they have free pizza deals too if you get their texts, I don't think it gets much better than that. read more

Everybody pretty much knows how it works here: go to the counter, order, take your number, get a seat where you can and wait for it to come out. Order the Bruni: sausage, spiced salami, onion, oregano. A few simple ingredients that come out great when put together. It comes out a little dark on the bottom and that charred taste can be a little off-putting. It was my only real negative. They have a small but legit beer selection and they do a steady takeout business so it gets a little hectic in there at times. This location is in the Central Commons, a popular shopping area which coupled with Punch's reputation generates a lot of foot traffic. People were stacked up along the walls waiting for their pizzas while we were eating. Its good and its reasonable. read more

Since when is there a Punch in Eagan?! I was pretty excited to discover that this location exists. There are a few throughout the Twin Cities area, but it's nice to see that more continue to pop up. The area surrounding this location is pretty nifty too. A little bit of life has arrived in the suburbs! Even though there are others, each Punch still feels unique and comforting, compared to competing pizza businesses. Unlike other Punch locations, this one didn't have a line out the door when I arrived. I'm very familiar with this local chain, but still have trouble deciding what to order. There are a lot of good variations to pick from. I settled on customizing my own creation and was satisfied with the results. Although, there's an unfortunate side effect of minor stress accumulating when doing so, because each ingredient makes the price increase. There's nothing wrong with that from a business perspective, but it would be nice if it some additional items could be cheaper if you get a bunch. Regardless, this place is good. I'm glad that they're continuing to expand as a company. Punch is delicious and you should eat here! read more

15 minute wait to order, just to be told the food will take 40 minutes "because of all the online orders". While I understand that online commerce is a portion of the business model, it seems like dine in customers should have some degree of priority as they have made the effort to come out to enjoy the establishment, but alas here I sit surrounded by 6 or 8 parties staring at eachother with no food. Bad taste in my mouth and I haven't even tried the pizza yet. Update: Pizza was great and the Punch salad was worth the trip alone. Food came out in 25 minutes , not 40 minutes. Clarification: The online ordering conundrum is likely not the fault of the staff but the fault of the management where they only see $$ and don't have to deal with customers face to face, nor do they care how long you wait.
