However, when I approached the counter, her demeanor changed completely. She didn't greet me or say anything, took my return package, scanned the QR code from my phone, and handed me my receipt without a word. Her body language and facial expression made it very clear that she did not want to assist me. I understand that employees can have bad days, but the contrast in how she interacted with the other customers compared with how she treated me was noticeable and uncomfortable. I left feeling unwelcome and honestly wondering whether my appearance or the color of my skin had anything to do with the way I was treated. I can't know her intentions, but that was the impression her behavior left me with. This location is only about five minutes from my home, but after this experience, I will not be returning.
